Man this entire series had so much happening in it. Bhajji's place in the team. Dada's captaincy. Constant sledging by Australians. Dravid and Laxman's health. I can't even explain the sheer brilliance of this series. It's like a movie, only it's not fiction.

Dravid and lakshman batted the whole day 😂😂and the TV is on till 5 PM. had one of the good childhood day.

      RIP Shane Warne.
But the innings by Laxman was the best I've ever seen against him. On a spinning pitch, his footwork was unreal. Laxman averaged 45 in test cricket, but at playing 5/6 he averaged 50. That was more representative of the man's talent

21 years till the date, even now I remember how afraid i was whenever i heard India was Playing against This Ferocious Australian Team. As a late 90's kid this Australian team actually gave me chills. Imagine how damn dominant a team can be, even a random supporter can feel the tremendous aura this Australian Team gave off. Then Came this EPIC test match. I still remember cheering with my father, class 1 kid cheering for Test match who has 0 idea of Follow On. Boy this match, Dravid and Laxman, shining like Damn Sun.

Ik that this Australian team was truly incredible but it wasn't like they dominated India in their previous tour of the country either. India bullied Australia in 97-98 winning the test series with the same scoreline 2-1 but only lost the 3rd test. They won the only test in 96-97 as well. Australia never had a great record in India hence it was known as final frontier for them. Of course this Australian team was almost certainly superior to the 97-98 team but keep in mind that the 97-98 team was also considered the best in the world at the time and had at that point already won everywhere in the world except India

@@honeysingh-jd8mpok kid 😂😂 ,u kids have been watching IPL and T20 these days just got to witness a good test match and decided it's best ,no it's not
Just key players were missing from India ,and today's Australia team is nowhere close to that Australia of the time u are watching the highlights, Australia was coming to India after winning consecutive 15 test matches and also won the first test match in Mumbai by winning the toss and choosing to bowl in a subcontinent ,that shows how confident Aussie Contingent that was and wrapping up the test in 3 days
On the other hand India have just come out of the match fixing saga , Azharuddin banned ,Sachin left captaincy, and Ganguly becoming the new captain, also his captaincy was on the swords in this test series and after the first test ,Late Bishan Singh Bedi declared Indian Cricket as dead , so this test match and also the series win gave a new lease of life to Indian Cricket

There were multiple heroes in this test match..it will be an understatement and deceiving to say it was because of Laxman or Dravid or Harbhajan. The fact is all 11 members of this great team out performed the greatest test team of that era convincingly after having their walls against the back. The catches, the bowling, the batting, the keeping, the team spirit was so great to watch!!

Ravi Shashtri... part of the 1983 world cup winning team , post match presentations , commentator during both the iconic world cup winning moments 2007 and 2011 and now as the head coach ...decades has gone but he hasn't ! 😂😂😂😂

The way Laxman playing Warne, coming down the pitch is truly amazing skill. I think he never or very less used to sweep. Amazing player!! Kudos to Dravid as well. I remember Aussies using all type of techniques to get under the skin of these 2 players, but both Laxman and Dravid were mentally tough and it showed in the final result. Also many thanks for uploading the entire test match highlights. Thanks sir.

Dada's captaincy brain and best trick to give Sachin one over and with the ball he took 3 imp wickets like haiden, guilcrist and warne in one over changed the game to indias favour because there was very short time on 5th day to get the last 10 wickets to win this match to make History after defeating such a team which was unbeaten for consecutive 17 tests all around the world and different types of pitches. ..and chennai's nail biting test there was a sachin's magic and total team game performance to win by 2 wickets and to win a historic test series by 2-1, it was beyong our dream because on those times aussies were on their Supreme power.. Full strength.. And Ganguly got a talented young indian side and his captaincy mind game ❤🎉 Those golden memories.❤🎉🌷...and now todays bothering 20-20 era..just disgusting... Its not cricket, its a entertainment packed money making business,, now a days😢
