Hey BEAT family, you know that if I ever call out someone by name, then it's pretty serious. I have a responsibility to warn the flock of false teachers. The Bible says quite a bit about that in the New Testament. Today I want to present to you several statements Joyce Meyer has made over the years and I want to encourage you to evaluate these in light of what the Bible says and then share your thoughts below. I hope you find this video informative and helpful as you assess and evaluate who you do and do not listen to. Blessings,

@Sam Fondren Honestly, I didnt read most of your post. I have no idea why your trying to argue with me, but what you're doing doesn't draw people to Christ, showing love does. We start off as babes in Christ and grow to mature in him. People need to know the whole Bible not just a part of it. What's to argue about?? That's the truth. Stop being augmentative, stop fighting your own brothers and sisters in Christ and put that energy into saving lost souls. God bless :)

No disrespect but you must be a calvanist?
Usually, i have noticed from studying behaviors and religion behaviors that calvanists quote teachers more than the bible. Usually they also look at titles like PhD, doctorate, MD, etc as a sign of trust, thus worshipping title over truth, even if the person has no title. The bible says in 2 Timothy 4:3
For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires.
If you follow piper, white and durbin, please i implore you to walk away from these men teaching false heressies. White even defends Islam, do your research.

Who is asking for a "perfect Christian"? Name one person. Pointing out someone's abuse of Scripture is not asking for sinless perfectionism. And while many can be deceived, please note that Meyer has claimed to receive messages from God, some of which she now appears to have renounced. So was she lying when she claimed to have God's inspiration earlier, or was she deceived? If the latter, why does she still teach?

I started as a young Christian listening to J.M.
I went and saw her in person at one of her conferences but sadly walked away never to go back at all ..She told everyone who wanted to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, speak in tongues, to stand up and she said a prayer ..Hundreds if not thousands stood up and it was chaos ...I knew that we were supposed to have an interpreter with only one speaking at a time ...I was hurt and disappointed..We cannot be misled because there's already so much confusion on that subject . Praying in tongues is a beautiful gift and not to be misused or misled..

I don’t have much knowledge of speaking in tounges but I’m pretty sure that one instance dose not need an interpreter and that’s your personal tounges. There is another instance where you speak in tounges to edify the church in a profetic way and that’s what needs an interpreter

@@sylviaa.ryndock2720 I fell for the same thing Sylvia - if Joyce Meyer has such a following, how could she be wrong, right?
I used to believe what she said as well but then - and this was not directed at Joyce herself - God challenged me to read the Bible as it was written, not understood by others and filtered by their understanding (which are doctrines of men or traditions of men (as Jesus called it))
Not so long God gave me a dream explaining to me that I am doing both - following man and God and seeing no results because of it.
I came to see how biased I was towards my favourite preachers but when challenged by what God showed me, had to learn that standing on the Word alone forced me to accept some things being said by these teachers were heresies. It was hard on me because I drank the Cool-Aid for so long.
I am not young anymore but slowly getting myself untangled from false teachings. I have also realized, until I know the Bible well enough, I cant keep on listening to teachings that might be false or some parts that are and ' eat the meat and spit out the bones' because I am not sure always what is meat and what is bones.
Slowly I am getting the hang of it because once you know the truth, it will set you free and you will be able to identify the counterfeit.
99% of poisons are normally good nutritional foods and only 1% the actual poison.

When prosperity and being a better version of yourself is preached more than salvation, Sin and Jesus's second coming you need to question is this from God or the devil.
God is not an atm machine or a genie in a bottle. We are already abundantly blessed by what Jesus alone did on the cross 🩸🐑🦁🙏🌏🙏✝️
Isaiah 43:11 I, I am the Lord, and besides me there is no savior.
Galatians 1:8-9 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.
      Revelation 22:18-19
I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book.

"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world."

@Justin Durham For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. Look: I, Paul, say to you that if you accept circumcision, Christ will be of no advantage to you. I testify again to every man who accepts circumcision that he is obligated to keep the whole law. You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace. For through the Spirit, by faith, we ourselves eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love.
You were running well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth? This persuasion is not from Him who calls you. A little leaven leavens the whole lump. I have confidence in the Lord that you will take no other view, and the one who is troubling you will bear the penalty, whoever he is. But if I, brothers, still preach circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been removed. I wish those who unsettle you would emasculate themselves!

"What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has FAITH [ in the righteousness of God ] but does not have WORKS [ or the righteousness of Christ in him ]?
      CAN THAT FAITH SAVE HIM?"
      (James 2:14)
"You believe that God is one
[ Christ and God are one ]:
      you do well.
Even the demons [ who do not believe in the righteousness of Christ ] believe [ that God is one ]--- and shudder!. "
      (V.19)
"Beloved, do not believe every [ manifestation of ] spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets
      [, FALSE MINISTERS/ PASTORS
      who teach AGAINST WORKS, ]
HAVE GONE OUT INTO THE WORLD.
By this you know the Spirit of God:
every [ manifestation of ] spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh [, or confesses the deity or righteousness of Christ, ]
      IS FROM GOD,
and every [ manifestation of ] spirit that does not confess [ the deity or righteousness of ] Jesus
      IS NOT FROM GOD."
      (1 John 4:2-3)
"Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. "Never, Lord!", he said. "This [ suffering and death ] shall never happen to you!"
Jesus turned and said to Peter, "GET BEHIND ME, SATAN! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men." "
      (Matthew 16:22,23 NIV)
This manifestation of Satan in the person of Peter was a HINDRANCE to Jesus' accomplishment of God's will and therefore also to His attaining the righteousness of His own --- the righteousness of Christ.
Likewise, every manifestation of spirit [ in the person of a teacher/ minister/ pastor ] that hinders a believer from straining forward to the goal of attaining the righteousness of Christ IS NOT FROM GOD.

I do believe in a person's evolution and becoming more inclined to what God truly desires for us as we move through time. I think God gives a grace to learn as we go and correct our stances from stage to stage. I think the teachings from her early ministry show her passion for christ, though they may have had some mistakes, I think today she is much more evolved and a lot less to teach in such a way that is heretic. I agree that we should never rely on them more than we do the Holy Spirit but God did gave them to us to help us. However, we are to automatically accept what they say but search the scriptures to see if what they say is true and many do not do that. They just rely on what their Pastor or others say. They spend more time studying the bible and with God and praying and God gives the understanding and revelation that they should share with us, if we are ready to receive it. So though they do have some responsibility towards us, we still have responsibility for ourselves. But haven't you had scriptures you have read a hundred times and yet there was something you failed to see or catch. We all do that but unless we spend a lot of time studying and meditating on scripture.........we may never have gotten the understanding we need. So many times I have a minister of God share what they have learned and suddenly that scripture makes sense. You just know its right. The more this happens, the more you realize how all of the bible works together. Those times it seems to contradict itself are times that we haven't rightly divided the word. One thing that Billy Brim teaches is that you have to know who they are talking to and talking about. Some parts are for the world and some for the church and some for the jews.

I am a massive, I mean massive fan of Joyce Meyer and while listening to your video about her being a false teacher, on some points I can understand why you might think that but to me that's like saying God dosent speak to anyone anymore especially to those that can be a vessel for his word and truth In this modern world which feel she Is where life and temptations are more prominent, powerful and harder to avoid everywhere today with Just about anything you do and want with everything and every temptation at the touch of a button etc, unlike 1000s abd 1000s of years ago, when God having given the people Jesus as his living sacrifice to the world for a better life and forgiveness from thier sins through thd death of Jesus on the Cross, yet even today there are still many around the world that still don't believe that truth and that's why I feel the world Is still In a mess and some are still sinning and sinning left right and centre In probably the most materialistic world that anyone has ever lived In and in a I want now attitude. Its not enough Just to take that all for granted what Jesus sacrificed Jesus went through that ment we would just be forgiven from every son by Just believing In him however many times we sin and been taken for granted today. God has to have a chalk line on forgiveness otherwise anyone at the last moment of thier life can Just ask for forgiveness and they'd get It regardless, if that's the case why Is there a He'll anyway then If was that easy. That's why some people Including Christians take that for granted as I said and as far as Joyce Meyer saying that Jesus went to Hell to suffer as well unless Jesus had personally told his disciples that on his return how would any of them back then have known otherwise, maybe he did or didn't but If he had and he not told them maybe It was because God and Jesus might have thought at that time that what Jesus had done was enough on earth for the people to understand about sin and forgiveness and salivation anx that he was, truly the son of God without having to say or do anything else. At that time that should have been enough for the people back then for that time and for all time really but for more than 2000 years later some people still doute Jesus that's why I feel you are wrong about Joyce Meyer she has helped me no end time and time again as she has helped so many others too and whenever I am almost completely lost at times It's Joyce Meyer that brings me back as well as God's word In the bible. She Is a great and positive preacher, yes a little hard at times and perhaps controversial but she Is an extremely good women who knows how to get Jesus through to people In this modern world where perhaps some people might even give up thier faith because so tough at times,
but not me some might think at times but they do anx some never return to God. When It was all written down In the bible back then that might have been easier bug It doesn't relate to them In the same way now, the temptations we face now are tougher In and around the way we live today. Maybe the finger should be pointed at the charlatans that Just preach fire and brimstone that from the bible that can Just scare the life out of some people should be critisized mire than are, where their compassion anx humility, that's not good or forgiving and loving God. Joyce Meyer In my mind Just trys hard to bring her personal beliefs and personal experiences to the table as well, to toughen people up rather than have them Just exspect candy floss all the time at every corner of thier lives without trying to change themselves inward anx outwardly as well asking God for everything. She's a great and positive preacher for a modern world in my opinion, In a world that needs that more than ever, listening to just what was said 1000s and 1000s of years ago and even before that Is not enough for some people today. After all It says " take the rock from your own eyes before taking the stone out other peoples" and don't Judge others that you be not Judge yourself or words to that affect. There are preachers other than Joyce Meyer that are doing more harm than good out ther than her In my opinion, for me she speaks for God and he speaks through her. My faith is strong because of her and It hasdnt always been that way. I Love you Joyce Meyer and God always will too. Check her out for yourself and don't just take l what's said about Joyce Meyer from this You Tube video she may even bring you closer to God than you ever thought you could be. 🙏 xxx

God knows her heart and only He can judge. It's not for us to pick her faults apart. If anything, hurting the body of Christ by creating division. We should pray for Joyce as God loves her very much. As brothers and sisters in Christ she probably has been given correction from other believers. We are supposed to use the word of God to correct and edify the body of Christ. I hold Joyce up in prayer. Her intentions are not to harm people but to help people. Saints, we don't have to agree with Joyce, but let's agree with bible.
When apostoles write their letters they referred them to Saints not to sinners. In Romans 5:8 bible says that while we were still sinners Christ died for us. We WERE... .
Bible says because we believed righteousness of Christ is imputed to us, scriptures about us being made righteous are multiple. We are righteous not with our righteousness but the righteousness of Christ. Yes we still stumble and sin, and get up, because we do not love the sin as we did while we were sinners, we are NEW CREATION now, sin is not something normal for us anymore.
If Sinners doing righteous dids they not become righteous people, when righteous fall ,it doesn't make him a sinner. Bible in 1 Peter 2:9 call us a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people..... .
Saints, search the scriptures, see that after we were born again we are not called sinners. It is quite liberating to understand what Jesus done on the cross.

It would be nice to have a “then” and “now” study so that people can compare previous teachings with the most updated ones (e.g., clips from 2020). That’s my perspective as a Christian pastor and as a former TV news reporter. People’s hearts and minds change throughout time. If that’s the case, showing two sides of the coin would be a great suggestion to follow. Still, thank you for honoring the Word of God. As teachers, much is expected from us. Our actions as Christians will be judged at the Bema.

Her book that was quoted in this video was written 20 some years ago as well. 20 years ago when she was not a mature Christian and before she knew a lot about scriptures. She admitted in a more recent service that when she started out preaching she acted like a "baby Christian" and did a lot of things that she now realized were wrong. She now teaches straight from the word of God and is just WONDERFUL!!! We all have to learn and grow in GOD's word. It takes time for sure.

I really appreciate your content and I think it's necessary especially in this day and age where there are false preachers left right and centre. However I will say as someone who used to listen to Joyce Meyer as a early Christian and stopped for years, then resuming she has definitely grown. The views and style of teaching have definitely changed as she has grown with Christ. Her recent teachings in the last few years have absolutely changed in tone and she is using scripture throughout, she even dedicates sermons to learning chapters of the Bible. I believe God has and is continuing to work on her and I do think that she may already realise the error in her earlier preaching hence her rectification and honesty through all her sermons about her early days in ministry.
I am not saying this because I am a fan of hers but I am also a Christian who, when starting out had questionable beliefs that did not align with the Word but I knew I loved Jesus. With time and continued surrendering to God, He has continued to reveal what needs changing and so just like us all, I am a work in progress.
Ultimately as you concluded, you are able to discern because of your knowledge of the scripture and your own personal relationship with God. I believe it is imperative as followers and believers of Christ to know the word of God for ourselves and have our own relationship with him.

Amanda B this is very true but in James 3:1 (aptly about taming the tongue) it says teachers will be judged more strictly for what they say and do. Has she ever actually come out and admitted her error and apologised or did she just gradually change her teaching hoping no one would notice? Genuine question! It takes a lot of humility to be a leader in the church, sadly I don’t often see that with these teachers.

These video extracts are so old and raw that I'm convinced one will have to dig a little too deep to find them. One will have to be motivated by the need, the desperate need, to find something negative to say about this woman.
The Joyce Meyer I have listened to over the past few months is nothing like this. She preaches hope, love, faith, keeping the strife away, casting your cares on Jesus, forgiving and even praying for people who have wronged you, and moving on from our mistakes as God does not want us to dwell in them.
That woman opens her mouth and she gives upliftment to the broken, hope to those who need it and frankly if we all consumed her teachings, there will be a lot more peace and compassion in the world.
That's the Joyce Meyer she has become. I have never heard her preach about prosperity or wealth and I'm guessing she must have outgrown such teachings at some point. Yeah, OUTGROWN, because we're all growing, and women and men of God are not left out of the fact.
Of course, we do have to draw the line at some point on how much heresy should be permitted and dismissed as merely growing, but this is a woman who has actually owned up to her mistakes and now teaches from a heart of love, maturity and divinity, and even makes examples of her own past errors. She is a blessing and nothing less.

I think what we are hearing here is Joyce Meyer adding information to scriptures in a possible state of immaturity. She herself has said that she did not receive proper schooled biblical teaching. In the early years of her ministry I think she did say some things that were incorrect. I listen to her from time to time and have listened to her for the past few years. I definitely here a difference in what she says now vs her earlier days. However, I do think it's a bit unfair to cite so many dated examples from nearly three decades ago to build a current case of heresy against someone. I'm sure there are many preachers and teachers of God's Word that may no longer subscribe to certain interpretations or belief patterns that they once did. The wonderful gift we all have to mature and grow in Christ presupposes that we will take His yoke upon us and "learn of Him."
So yeah, brother, keep doing what you're doing in the Kingdom as God gives you the grace and opportunity to do so. On that day many will say to me, Lord, Lord, didn't we prophesy in your name, drive out demons in your name, and do many miracles in your name? Then I will announce to them, I never knew you. Depart from me, you lawbreakers!!! One truth....not multiple truths(denominations). In order to remove the veil of ignorance, you have to remember this.....paganism & gnosticism was severely rampant during the days of the first church, that Scripture reveals to us in The Book of Acts. Roman and Greek influence was ubiquitously immense. Just as different interpretations are just as rampant today! Read Revelations 22. It talks about cowards and those who continue to live in sin. This is a question I’ve struggled with recently. I’ve watched and listened to Joyce for years and I truly love her and pray for her, but I’ve been hearing people calling her a false teacher. It’s funny because she’s actually one of the preachers who encouraged me to read God’s word for myself. She’d always say, “it’s nice that you listen to me, but that’s not enough. You need to go to God’s word for yourself.” I’m paraphrasing. Anyway everything I’ve heard her say that was wrong, it’s generally from the 80s or 90s. It’s possible she’s changed her view since then. Of course, it would be much better if she made a public statement denying anything theologically unsound. The whole charismatic stuff isn’t such a big element of her ministry now.

I discovered Joyce Meyer a few years ago. I bought a few of her books & subscribed to her channel. I suppose God allowed this bcuz I was in a deep dark funk & needed to hear some positive messages (such as it's never good to complain, we should never let our feelings or emotions dictate whether we're saved or not). And I needed to hear those things.
But for over a year now, I hadn't looked at any more of her videos. This seems to coincide with my renewed effort to get to know God & start a real, bona-fide relationship with Him.
So thank you for confirming my suspicion. I'll unsubscribe from her channel shortly.
But at the same time, let's pray that God truly convicts her of the real truth!

I listened to Joyce during the years 2003-2010 and during that time her preaching just made perfect sense to me . It actually saved my marriage and started a growth process in me that was life changing . I wouldn’t be where I am today had I not heard some of her preaching so when I came across this title by accident I thought what ? No way ! Lol. I noticed the clips you’re referring to are from almost a decade before I started listening to her . She herself has said in one of her sermons that I was listening to that she didn’t always get things right when it came to her walk with God . None of us are perfect and we do get things wrong sometimes. There is this thing called spiritual maturity and I wonder if that’s all it was with her . She just wasn’t as spiritually mature or as knowledgeable then as she may have become in recent years . I Know I could still be wrong but even I have changed in major ways spiritually and otherwise since 1993 . It doesn’t mean we’re bad people who might not have good points to offer as we mature and grow in Gods word. Do you have anything more recent? I don’t like the idea of scrutinizing people so much yet I do understand the value of careful discernment. I don’t think she did anything that she didn’t feel in her heart was right by God so I don’t feel it’s fair to paint her in a bad light . It’s like another commenter said on here . Is it possible we should extend some grace to her and see how she is today in 2020 ? Also in the last example you pointed out , if the reward she was speaking of was not monetary but within her heart and emotional health then yes , I think anyone can benefit and deserves to benefit from that . I wonder if the Word reward was Interpreted wrong ? Anyways, I do appreciate your videos as well lol. Those are just things I was wondering about as I watched this one . Thank you for your time 💜🙏🏼

tina halle has she forsure backtracked these specific teachings? If she just said generically “I’ve made mistakes in my theology in the past” or something like that... I think that’s concerning. I’m genuinely curious you sound like you know her teachings well, I don’t. I also believe in spiritual maturity and I understand you grow in knowledge on your faith journey but she should never have been in the position to teach if she was this theological uneducated. Because these clips are out there and she can never take them back. It’s a warning to people that want to be teachers to make sure you are biblically sound. I hope she has changed, pray she has changed, I don’t know her heart.

Hi Tina, first of all I’m pleased your marriage was saved. When those steps on stage to proclaim the word of God we all must understand that they are held in a higher accountability for people come to hear, understand, learn and trust what is being spoken about Christ. The Bible clearly speaks about this matter and it’s everyone responsibility who’s born again to point this out. Regardless of when those times were she clearly should’ve not spoken such foolishness. There’s times when tough love has to be administer. I too have gotten a uneasy feeling in my spirit listening to her reasoning of things concerning God. I’m not saying that you don’t but I leave you with this, dive in head first with the scriptures. Choose to put the word of God first in your life above basically anything. The Word surely will guide you in every step of your day and will alert you in your spirit what’s wrong as well as right. I too do not have anything personally against Ms. Myers but I do stand with with Mr Parr against everyone that chooses to stand in the position of a shepherd and lead vulnerable souls astray. As a fellow born again believer I wish you well...

I feel very very sorry for you during this terrible time that the world is going through..you have the audacity to run down a woman who has been chosen by God to preach the message. She's up there with Billy Graham... she's passionate about our Lord and saviour..she herself has gone through hell in this world from all the sexual abuse she endured as a child...she decided to forgive her tormenter...she helps to counsel women who have also undergone the same torment. She helps women who are trafficked for sex....she gives thousands of pounds to charity....... she has helped me personally to get over the death of my spouse.HOW DARE YOU. You are a hypocrite..yes she DOES get revelation from God.....but you wouldn't understand that because you are being used by Satan himself by broadcasting this muck. May God forgive you because you know not what you are saying.Give it a break....there are many many people dying at this moment....we need the Lord more than ever.... SHE gives us encouragement and hope which is more than you do. You are definitely NOT a Christian.... you're like the Sadducees and the pharasies.May God help you on judgement day for spreading such false news

Have you seen yourself any of her new videos? I have and when she pauses for applause and don’t get as much as she wants and criticizes the right side of the audience because the left side yell and clapped their hands louder than the other side that is shameful to the audience. Does she wants the glory for herself? It’s what she showed there. If she made so many mistakes throughout the years when she started it should tell that she wasn’t called and prepared for ministry. She was preaching out of her emotions and fantasies. When I preach or teach I backup my words with the Scriptures, not the other way around. Also God does not call unprepared and ignorant people to the ministry. Beware of those who rushed into ministry. It takes many years, patience and a lot of humility to start a ministry after being called. After all the Lord Jesus started his ministry at the peak of human maturity. Is different for everybody but there’s a time for getting prepared and to mature. In conclusion, she wasn’t called or prepared because the videos and her own writings testify against her. She have honed her speaking skills and throw in a few biblical truths in between but is still a hollow message.

Listen to testimonials from people who have left her ministry. Her apologies are very shallow and it's not great to learn from someone who did not always have sound theological sermons when there are so many teachers. If you're looking for a woman minister, I recommend Sarah Jake Robert. I got a funny feeling while listening to one of Joyce's new semons and prayed on it and found testimonials from those who worked for her that solidified I should not listen or learn from her.
