Dude, Dom's kit has the most perfect and greatest tone I've ever heard in my life. If I could have one Kit in the world, it'd be his Resistance tour kit. It sounds unbelievable. My dad who's seen everybody worth seeing, Maiden, GnR, Sabbath, Queen, to name a SMALL few, said Dom's drums were the greatest sounding drums he's ever heard. And I'd second that, even though my concert experience isnt quite up to snuff with his.
shouldn't you then invest in the same microphones etc? As they're just as central to tone.
It does sound great and would sound great even without all the mikes etc, because Dom has a great ear and his own unique style of drumming. I am a drummer and have heard lots of bands, as well as played in touring bands and i agree with your dad.
Those drums are Q brand, a small niche builder. They are made from metal, copper, stainless steel or brass. My bet is on brass.
Chris is such an underrated bass player.
They should make a CD with all their "Jam" Songs....this one, Osaka, Jimmy...etc
My brain has whiplash from all the jump cuts.

I heard this for the first time back in 2010..still manages to make me go apeshit and jump all over the place. Never succeeded in getting the tone Wolstenholme has though
Masque Rade 2 years late but, you've got to know that without pedals, you can't get this tone.
Apparently you need an octave pedal, a fuzz one/big muff, and overdrive.

It was a jam when they came up with it. There's a difference between that, and rehearsing a set piece of music. Then they decided it sounded good, but instead of creating a song out of it, they carried on performing it.
If they had went into the studio thinking, 'I've written this riff, lets play it' then no that wouldn't be a jam. This is though
Its about what you can do on the kit not the size
Why can't this be on one of their CD's?

Did not amaze me. First time a Muse song does not amaze me. :/ I did not say it was bad. I was just waiting for much more, cause this is Muse, you know. I don't know why this didn't do it for me. And it was not because Matt was not participating either.
