  • A pair of reels in D minor on tenor banjo. The Glasgow reel is also known as Tam Lin. The version of Julie Delaney's, and especially the dramatic backing, is quite close to Bothy Band's version.
The tenor banjo is Pilgrim's Celtic Dawn model 2, and the backing instrument is a Finnish-made Oakbridge Instruments Irish Bouzouki in GDAD tuning.

    Niilo,
Just wanted to say thank you for all of the great videos! I am a newer mandolin player (Octave and standard) who is starting to make some decent strides in his development. I also play the Irish whistle (Low and standard D), and the Appalachian Mountain Dulcimer. My style of music appears to fall directly in line with yours. I love Irish tunes: reels, hornpipes, jigs etc. I have been eyeing an Irish Tenor Banjo for some time, but telling myself no, I cannot have ANOTHER instrument... but... you have pushed me over the edge. So, THANKS!!!
Keep up the great work man, people like you get other people excited about music!
P.S. I learned the tune Julia Delaney after watching this video, it's so cool!
    All the best, -Anthony
