MicroCenter was going to charge me at least $49.99 for installation + a mandatory $39 fee to run the diagnostic program(?) + cost of new battery to replace old one. My son suggested I look up on UA-cam how to do it myself. Miracle of miracles there was your easy-to-follow video walking me right thru everything thus saving me at least $90! Thank you so much! God Bless You. I bet you have a very proud mom! 😊
Thank you so much, I am finally able to use my laptop again after a year and a half of having to have it plugged at all times because the battery drained so fast.
Thanks for this video. I searched many other videos but all of them showed the screws on the sides, not under the rubber feet. I couldn’t figure out how to remove the back cover and I didn’t want to try prying it off and possibly breaking it or damaging the laptop. Thanks again. 🙏🏾
Thank you, I just replaced my battery after I watched your video. I got everything all back together and it seems to be working normal. The only thing I noticed was that I can scroll on my mouse pad, but I am not able to click on it. Did I miss something? There was also a long skinny magnet that I was not sure where it went it was stuck to a metal area, down at the bottom of the mouse pad?
My battery is at 0% even when its plugged in, schools starting in a few days. Gotta order my parts fast, thanks for the simple video :) and the time bomb warning
i have a question, as we can see that in the hp 14 series, there is place for and HDD at the corner which is empty in laptops with ssd, how can we utilise that space to install more battery to get more usage time
But for that one must use only M.2 SSD and leave the HDD Slot empty also, one need to reshape the battery shape to match with it. So, technically it is possible. But doesn't make any sense, coz, anyway you have to charge it in the end of the day.
Thank you. Do you happen to know where the CMOS battery is located on these laptops. Ive removed the battery and am still getting the cmos checksum error.
Hi, thank you for your video! I changed the battery in my HP Pavilion x360 14 Convertible, but my HP Support Assistant kept telling me to calibrate the battery and when completely drained, it always erased the BIOS setting. Now the Support Assistant keeps saying the battery needs to be changed again. Any idea to help? Thank you
What a stupid design. It used to be so simple and easy to replace the battery. Now you have to unscrew and take the back off. Thanks for the tutorial however. My laptop is only 2 years old and the charger is struggling to charge it! Unbelievable.
I have a HP Notebook - 14-dq0002dx I call hp and they wanna charge me almost $200 for diagnostics and replacement they ended telling me they have to order a new battery and more bla bla I ended in UA-cam just for $19.99 I fix my problem also I received new screwdriver 😂😂😂
because peoples electronics are nasty.. no joke.. i just replaced the battery in this laptop for someone.. it took me longer to clean its outside than to switch the battery..
