same as the first time I didn't realize there are two screws under the rubber! I easily found it in this video and it worked, and the new battery is charging, success! Thank you, nice and no fuss video guidance!
Perfect! Just wish I watched this before I bought a replacement touchpad. Had no idea the swollen battery could cause the touchpad to stop working. Thanks for the easy to follow directions.
Thank you for the excellent instructional video. For those without plastic pry tools, slide a credit card between the panels, pinching the edge of the credit card so only an 8th of an inch of the cc edge is exposed so while sliding the credit card in to separate the panels, the card doesn't slide beyond the seam and damage anything inside the seam. That worked for me.
this is what i needed right now. ;-; my battery is really big, and i've got the replacement battery on the way. 30$ and 10 minutes, is a lot better than 900$ for a new laptop. ;-;
Thank you! You have a wonderful way of explaining things....i think I'll do my own battery change now.....assisted by your clear, step by step guidance
After watching the video, I decided to take the back cover off to verify the battery model. It's the same one as in the video. My track pad was fully functional but my battery was very swollen. I removed the battery so I could see if I could still us my laptop, while I waited for the battery to be delivered. It does work with battery removed but when I started the computer, I was given a promtp to begin setup of the laptop. I kinda looks like what one would see when the first bought the computer. What do I do about this?
A flashing Caps Lock light on an HP laptop can indicate a memory-related issue. For example, if the light blinks three times long and then twice short, it could mean that one or more RAM modules are failing. To verify this, you can try swapping out the RAM: Remove the bottom cover and battery Unscrew and remove the access panel Remove the old RAM and replace it with a new kit Put the system back together and turn it on

Very helpful. Gave me the confidence to try and do it myself since no local assistance.

The back side of my laptop pavilion 15 doesn't look like this at all. No rubber "feet", no screws.
I installed a new battery I have HP Pavilion 15 - au109ni... The next morning the caps lock is blinking

Thank you I solved the problem.. I found that the RAM modules were the problems... 👌
I just bought mine at Microcenter
