Good morning. I just want to say that you have been to me what Nik the booksmith and Frugal crafter were to you. You inspire me constantly. I am an acrylic and pencil artist and a jewelry maker who is branching out into junk journals. It’s been awesome. Thanks
Hi Pam! So enjoy your tutorials!! I was wondering if you could give us a minimal “travel craft tote” supply list for junk journaling to take on vacation. I always like to bring some projects for idle evenings or rainy days. But also thinking about packing limitations, I would appreciate your advice/list on what to bring as a minimum and maybe a couple add-ons, if space allows?Thanking you in advance!💗hugs for Sun-buns!!
I so enjoyed going through my fundle. So many neat interesting items. Loved to touch everything. Even my hubby, who does not understand my paper obsession, enjoyed looking through all the fun stuff!!!!
Poor bunny. So glad he won't need surgery. Wow! I had never heard of Sunny's breed before. I had thought he was a Maltese but he's so much more. And he is a darling boy. So happy for you all. I love how the cabochon or whatever came out so well. And the large one that caught bunny's fur is lovely. Can't wait to see how you use them both. Now back to the video....🥰 Wings of Wonder...I like that...what is it written on? It's very interesting. I love watching your videos... you are so interesting and funny. Love all the information you give us. Hi Sunny... so great to see you. Hope you had a fun outing with dad. 🥰. Thank you Pam. Sorry if I ramble, I have to make comments as it comes to me or I may forget, so I hop in and out. 🤪 Great chat today... as usual. 🥰👍🏻
Hi Pam Long time no hear I love that pic with the little boy on the modified pogo sticks that’s what they remind me of. The simple fun times. Times without all these mass shootings civil unrest. Thank you and Your joy sharing we all need it. Kiss Your Grey baby, Sunny Sonny, and your love birds if they are still in your Love giving home.
I literally laughed out loud at bunny’s mishap. Oh my, you are the most animated person I have seen in the JJ world!! Love every second. Hugs to you and Sunny. Absolutely love when you greet your hubs. Just sweet all around!! 💜💜💜💜💜
Desk gremlins! Indeed! Last week, I was working on a Tab Binded journal. I left if on my desk and when I returned to work on it, it was gone. After 3 hours of looking, I found it under a side table - all the way up against the wall! How on earth??? Anyway, this happens to me ALL THE TIME! So, I know them well.
Lol, 'after you get through your friction points'. What an honest statement. My first journal took nine months, second took six, third took two months, then I took off and now I can't stop lol!
Thank you for all your inspirational videos.. I love to craft along with you.. You have me laughing! You have a great sense of humour. You're my favourite UA-camr ... Big hugs to Sunny he's adorable and love his appearances.. Love & hugs from Australia. Xxx
I am new to journaling, but I am enjoying it, keeps my hands busy! My only problem is I overthink a lot of it. I have to walk away for a little while then return. I enjoy watching you and love how you explain everything. So many new ideas in my head!
Good morning, Pam! I love your little scrap-using paperclip thingies. FYI, regarding resin: Gi Kerr at the Happiness in Crafting UA-cam channel has just begun to use the UV resin to make small charms and things for her "dingly danglies." If you have a chance, watch a couple of her videos to learn how it works. I think it's amazing, and doesn't seem to be very expensive.
Very interesting to hear you tell about the different kinds of journals/diaries you have found, Pam! Speaking of the weather, I have really enjoyed writing a nature journal in which I write about the weather, birds, trees etc that come and go through the seasons. I think it will be interesting to read again someday. I put my thoughts and feelings in, but not too personal. I don't write pretty or draw like Edith, but I enjoy the process! I use the pretty bound journals that I had bought and collected for years. Haven't traveled as I thought I would! Travel in my microcosm here is good enough! 😊
Hello Pam, I’m new to this sort of crafting and am really enjoying making junk journals…. Presently doing one to decorate with my art work so it’s not hanging about all over the place. I love your videos and all the things I find on your shop site. Thank you for all the tips and ideas .🥰
I received my fundle and saw the funerary log. was wondering if that was what I was reading! So cool and don't want to cut it up lol If you haven't purchased a Fundle yet, what are u waiting on?! Lol so fun going thru all these papers!
Hi Pam, love all your videos and absolutely adore seeing Sony. Have you thought about scanning the funeral ledger and sell the digital pages on your Etsy shop. Xxx
Mornin Pam. Craft chat usually gets me doing some early morning crafting...this is a good thing. 😁 I've been working on using up scraps but I just might have to toss some out as it's taking me FOREVER. 😳 TFS Regards to the menagerie and Papa too. Hope you all have a great day. 🌞
They never ever ever never get "used up" --it's all in the math 🤓: create 1 project = scraps enough from 47 projects 1 use-up-scraps session = scraps enough from 112 scrap sessions 🤯 😂🤣😂 sorta like the Everlasting Gobstopper from Willy Wonka-- "...It not only changes colours & flavours... but also NEVER gets any smaller or disappears"----but with paper.
@@TheCrabbyCrafterlol😂 most definitely. They just keep growing and growing...which is why I think I will have to grit my teeth and toss some out. At least that's what I keep telling myself 😁
Pam, love the tutorial on the paper chips. And all the questions you answered thank you for all the advice. When I'm making Junk journals my biggest pet peeve is getting my holds lined up, you make it look so easy. But once I get pass that it's Kool sailing. Thank you .
You would prob have a heart attack seeing what “little” bits and pieces I throw away….lol. You would have fared well during the depression using every bit of EVERYTHING. I luv it
My friction point is the cloth cover of a journal/decorating the cover/getting it wrapped around with everything looking neat/edges hidden etc. on both the inside and the outside. I’m getting better at it but its still intimidating every time.
I love all these ideas! I feel silly, because I use triple thick to make paper or mostly paper ornaments for Christmas, but for some reason, I never thought about making dangles and other oranments for my journals!!! 😜 😂
Pam, I figure this has been mentioned, but there are 2 types of resin used in crafting, primarily. Epoxy resin refers to 2 part resin that chemically cures. Different companies have different rates of curing, clarity, yellowing protection and fumes. Clear resin needs a fair amount of time, usually 24 hours, but 72 hours guarantees complete curing. UV resin is 1 part and curing by UV light. Generally, there are no fumes. Curing is generally 2 to 20 minutes. UV resin is pretty easy to get started in. You need the resin and a UV light. Most people find a UV nail lamp works for what they are doing. I think you could do amazing things with UV resin. I highly recommend looking at reviews of lamps. You need a fairly strong lamp (better than 40W) since you wiil be working mostly in things with sides (as opposed to silicon molds), but you don't want something that will burn you. Nail lamps are generally the best way to go since hands are supposed to sit under those lights. Hope this takes some of the nervousness out of resin. As always, I love your videos.
Hello Pam! Not much time lately to craft, but I still watch you. I did make about 20 cool buttons a few days ago with you. My friction comes when sewing the binding and getting all the holes lined up...even with a template...and with getting the edges of pages lined up. I recently bought a good cutting mat with grid lines so I can try your ruler, Exacto knife method. Love you! Lorir6
Thank you for a wonderful beginning of my day! Love to hear all those questions and answers! We can all learn a lot! Sunshine makes me laugh so hard! I ❤️ him so much! Tyfs!

Because I was sick I was not in school for part of second to third grade. Three adults were my cohorts in crime, Pappy who taught me cursive and art and common sense, a librarian whose name I don’t remember, and Ms Morris, a lawyer. My first journal kept every day, dates from that year. It lists the weather, what chores I had to do that day with a check mark if I did them, and any visitors. I also had to draw something and copy a Bible verse or a prayer. I think it was because the pattern was set by the ladies of the Farmers Almanac.
About diaries I just keep a log of sorts, things to do, what I've done and I put in the 'weather'. Like we're expecting a major storm tonight, 8'' of snow, then 1-2'' per hour tomorrow. I haven't had to shovel at all this winter but I have a medical appt tomorrow.
