Cure only lets me select a 0.4 nozzle size. How can I get it to give me more options than just that? I just swapped my nozzle to a 0.6 but I can't get anything to slice for 0.6
It seems that one cannot change the nozzle size in Cura 5.3. I've looked just about everywhere. It is not in the Extruder settings and one cannot set it in the same place as in 5.2.2. Hopefully someone will know 🤔
Question: my completed pieces all have a large "splash" layer at the bottom on all of them that I have to trim off. Is there a Cura (Cura 5.3 for me) setting to stop or reduce this? Thanks very much.
@@michaelsorensen7914 - Yes, the BRIM. That was two months ago. Now I have much more knowledge and experience (smile). Am currently using Cura 5.4 without problems now. Thank you.
I bought biqu B1 SE Plus...it came with Cura 4.8.0. what's the latest version o can use with this printer? Does it matter? PC is a Lenovo Yoga 730. Core i7 ⁸⁵⁵⁰u @1.8 GHz 2.0 GHz 64 -bit x64 Windows 10 home version 21h2 Experience pack 120.2212.4190.0
@@ThantiK i keep hearing that lol. it suck man. i had it printing amazing for about a month. then i changed the nozzle and it just hasn't been right. I might just do the manual bed upgrade..
It could be so many issues. If you just swapped the nozzle, and it won't print, try heating the hotend up to 220 degrees, then tighten the nozzle to 30 inch-pounds. That's the optimal torque. The reason I say that is probably because the nozzle isn't up against the heat break
Cura 5.3 writes "Unable to slice". Experimenting with settings, as well as choosing other printers and profiles, does not help. What could be the problem? Cura 5.3.0-alpha+xmas works without errors.
I went to the ultimaker site and only see 5.2.2. Is there supposed to be multiple release times?
Please turn up the volume. But great overview!

You’re not referring to a brim, are you?

@@edwardnewbold I just started all this about two months ago as well. MUCH more to learn than I realized!

I just downloaded it last night. But for some reason my CR10 Smart just won't print....been trying for over 2 weeks but just can't get it to print...
The problem is that you have a CR-10 smart. Every one of them I've run across has been a dud. :[

@@Tyguy266 why doesn't it print? make sure you tighten the nozzle AFTER heating it up to printing temp.
@@tyrell519 I will give thay a shot today. But I think either the bed is warped or I am just new lol

Better to stay away from 5.3 😢😮

Cura 5.3.0-alpha+xmas works without errors.
Cura 5.3.0 DOES NOT work without errors. When I choose Creality-Ender-3-S1-Pro then Cura 5.3 gives a 0.4mm nozzle and this CANNOT BE CHANGED 😮😮
Didn't show sh!t. Basically said download it and play with it.
