    That bass player is Owen Biddle. I've been a huge fan of his since 2008 when i saw gym class heroes open for The Roots in Milwaukee. Owen was on Fallon for the first 2 or 3 years.

    Each time I listen to or watch Legend and/or Roots am blown away by how good they are. Do not get the attention they deserve.

    • @julienz2024
      @julienz2024 7 років тому

      You mean the 2 together, or separately? I mean John Legend is simply huge. He gets a lot of attention, no doubts about that. And the Roots have been the house band for Jimmy Fallon since 2009, for example. I'm sure that gives them plenty of attention, on top of the fact they are one of the most recognized hip hop bands of all time.

      @@julienz2024 all of the artists mentioned here haven’t been appreciated as much as I would like them to be as accomplished musicians ….(the origin version of this song will explain everything you’re questioning. ) Roberta did it best but this a very poignant version of her song .

    Im such a big fan...his music and resons for singing what he sings and how he sings it is so soulful unlike a lot of other artists today...I like that you kept the same drive throughout your music career so that your songs are still meaningful though the era has changed and the style of music globally has warped immensely ...I could listen to your songs all day... You are by far in my opinion the most phenomenal artist, vocalist and pianist combined thus far... love love love your music...

    Before he became a Ludwig endorser he has always said that Ludwig have made the best snare drums for the past 70 or so years, but then again he used a 1992 Yamaha recording custom 14 /3" brass piccolo snare for years. Im assuming its a Ludwig.

    @TheImposer I am not here to see which one of us know music more than the orther or feel what is true real music, but I am here to state the reasons for my first statement. Some songs should not be touch at all, some songs do not need a rap lyric in it, some songs are hard to remake because the artist doing it can't capture the anger and the spirt of the orgingal artist. The sax in the orginal was just as aggressive and the vocals. I like John Legend and l like the roots, but bad version
