Beautiful work Tammy! I have been watching Djamel's videos for several years!! He's a genius, and a very generous person with his teachings. In his video number 300 from two years ago he shows how to prep a canvas for this technique, if you do not want to use the mdf boards for kitchen.
I APPRECIATE IT A LOT .... THANK YOU SO MUCH TAMMY YOU EXPLAINED THE TECHNIQUE PERFECTION. IT IS AN ARTISTIC AND THERAPEUTIC TECHNIQUE, SIMPLE AND WITH MAGICAL RESULTS I SEND YOU THE BEST WISHES MY FRIEND THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR NOBELTY AND YOUR GENEROSITY 🌹🥰🙏🙏🙏
I follow Djamal and i think he’s one of the best artists due to his beautiful work and creatively. Watching his videos feel like interacting with viewers and always shares tips . He’s great as you are Tammy, sweet and caring about followers 🌸🌸

Thank you Tammy this video made me want to try again. After a time away. My little buddy Hector died really suddenly and my paints have been sitting there. Im gonna use them in multiple ways. You're always an inspiration ❤
I just watched a video of this same technique, the gal was in Germany, except she spread a base texture using thinned paste. She added the paste making different textures then allowed it to dry before adding color. Just bought a bunch of new canvases, going to try it now. With and without the texture base. Love learning new stuff. Thanks Tammy.
Your so awesome Tammy,!! So many incredible ideas in your head. Your so helpful in so many ways. Thanks again for always sharing your incredible imagination with us. Have a wonderful week. 😊🩷
I've watched many of Djamel's videos coz his work is so mesmerizing! There's an old, traditional technique for decorating furniture which gives very similar results to this. It's called vinegar painting or putty graining. The base coat was oil paint and I believe the glaze was made with vinegar, sugar, dish soap and dry/powdered pigment or tempera. The technique was (still is) used to create faux effects like marbling, malachite, tortoise shell, wood grain like elm, maple, mahogany and loads of other intricate effects. The putty was rolled over coloured glaze to create endless patterns and effects. Rags, sponge, newspaper, combs, anything really, can be used to create gorgeous patterns. It's a really interesting technique with stunning results very similar to the one you are demonstrating. It's great that acrylic paints can also be used.
Been watching him for a year. His techniques are so cool. Keep going back to watch. He does amazing things with spray paint that I have been able to replicate as a base for pouring. He is awesome.
Its a clever technique. Iv watched Djamel for a long time and got my self some laminated boards. I love the 3d look of it. You achieved that. Its such fun.
I have watched him for a couple years now,I love his work, glad to see someone else finally take his work and hopefully make it their own, mix up technics,ECT. He's watercolor color is also amazing

Never get tired of watching your ingenious painting ideas.❤ Decided it was time to stop watching and start paintin'. I bought a set of Arteza Canvas Boards in different sizes I want to use. Plan to try what you are demonstrating to see what I can come up with. Did you say you were using a canvas board or a regular stretched canvas?
