11:22 Indurain part
Indurain..He is my idol.. for me, he will be the best ever !
Lo mejor que ganó todo eso y limpio.
And still some people claim that Indurain came from nowhere to dominate grand tours. The man developed year after year, improving, in the most natural way possible.
I agree. Unlike Armstrong, his development to the very top of the sport can be traced right back to the time he started in the sport. He has ALWAYS been an elite rider and his rise to the top was not even remotely surprising.
@@MrBendybruce
Armstrong was also a very talented young cyclist. In a clean cycling he had been a great one.
But there are others who come from nowhere and start winning Tours like eating biscuits. Froome for example, he was a nobody in cycling world until he got to Sky, and now he has six grand tours. Its strange.
LMAO, he was well connected with Dr. Conconi, but ho ahead and call him natural.
Doping scandal started with him
This is not about Inurain, its on a small portion. Hate click bate BS and cyclingnews should be above this . I can hear abou this chick and Sagan on another of your posts. Big Migs career deserved more real journalistic effort than this.
Spanish EPO legend Indurain...... on another story I won't mention names but have ridden on the road with some of these women ( Ontario region) on my 15 kg alloy road bike and they were simply dropped on their 6.8kg lightweight bikes. Without these 6.8 kg bikes not only would the speeds collapse on the flats but also many of these riders would not be racing at all.
Any proof? Or it's just jealousy? 🤷🏻♂️
@@Souliban Are you alright there bud?
It’s quite obvious you have never actually attempted to race on a 15kg 250$ road bike vs a lightweight Carbon road bike. Not only you have 7 gears vs 10, but you are also overcoming the aero shape of the cheap bike. For the record I do have a 8 kg Carbon with 60 mm carbon wheel set and know full well what it takes when I switch from the Carbon to the 15kg, it’s worlds apart on the amount of energy that is required vs the lightweight bike. This is why you seeing smaller and thinner riders on these tours, back when bikes were hovering around 10 kg back in the late 70’s the bodies were massive compare to today. Most of the riders I see in this area are all on lightweight carbons and still have to cross chain due to 20-39 km hr winds common around here, so yes they can’t ride 15 kg bikes they simply don’t have the legs for it. Even with aero bars on the 15 kg road bike I blow away my times on the Carbon bike with no aero bars. I have turned the 15 kg bike to the point where it’s a 7 speed sleeper bike, I am running zirconia balls on the freewheel hubs, Single 47 tooth Chain, loose bb bearings setup for maximum movement. Basically it is the fastest 15 kg bike I ever seen, it was a 250$ road bike from amazon, after setting it all up it’s a speed demon.
@@danfuerthgillis4483 any proof? Or it's just jealousy?
@@Souliban You sound like Joe Biden when they ask him the same question and he forgets what he already said lol
@@danfuerthgillis4483 And you sounds like a jealousy rat 🙂
hahaha, guy saying about how BigMig won the Tour IN A CLINICAL WAY... sooo true...
what year did amgen start marketing its EPO brand? 1988 or 89... it wasnt all blood bags back then in Espana
Cheap defamation without any knowledge here???
@@joseignaciovivas4372 To this day, on a 10kg bike, before anyone had heard of "marginal gains", before anyone thought seriously about nutrition and diet, and at exactly the moment the entire peloton suddenly went 2 kmh faster than before, and a whole bunch of previously completely ordinary, mid-career riders were suddenly at the front of all the GT's....to this day, Indurain on his 10 kg, piece of crap bike, is 2 minutes quicker up Alpe d'Huez, with his enormous arse, on his big ring, than Chris "modern era, carbon fibre bike, everything Team Sky can throw at cycling and the strongest cycling team ever" Froome.
Obviously, Indurain is a freak of nature. Obviously.
@@winstoncat6785 Do you know "Secretariat" the horse? the full story (size of heart).
Great, now I have a crush on Sarah Gillow as well. Thanks inCycle...
deserves her own centrefold
That's why I laugh when I hear people say that Greg Lemon never doped.
Indurain was so great and so humble, it was almost to the point of being a sphinx. Still, no one came close to what he did except for Lance... and Lance was a dick... could've used some of Indurain's personality traits. Consequently, the two were friendly and always regarded one another well.
Good episode.
you cant believe any riders didnt they all dope back then didnt they have to
re Indurain: Does anyone else notice the elephant in the room?
How do you profile a guy like Indurain without mentioning PED's?
You NEVER hear anybody say it about Indurain, like it is its own omerta, unmentionable, he's untouchable, like a boulder in a stream...the water flows around him. Even LeMond acknowledges, EPO came along in 1991 and the peloton speeds were suddenly hypersonic, ended his career...but Indurain is never talked about. Everyone is on EPO in the 90s and Big Mig is totally clean, wiping the floor with everyone, like a shining example of integrity in sport. Instead of Big Mig, they should call him Big Enig(ma).
When you're a nice guy, people leave you alone. One other multiple TDF 'winner' never learned that lesson.
conconi, fuentes & amgen made the 90's
ha ha... the pond was too small & l.a left nothing for the other yankies.. to his later demise - but indurain was more humble & fragile ( eg didnt become a mountain goat ...)
Didn't become a mountain goat? What do you call someone who never got dropped in the mountains of the TDF for years? If not that then what are they?
Indurain is the best ever
Best doping user ever.......
I dont think he lost a Time trial when he started his winning streak
Started with him siping scandals 1991
indurain doped ffs people who refuse to see this just wanna bury their heads
We have one such person in the comments. But there's probably 10 or 20 million more just like him in the doping epicenter of the universe, Spain/Espana!
SOIDS! "THE! TOUR! DE! FRANCE! LEGEND" MICHAEL!!! INDURAIN!!! THE! SPANIARD! THE! TOUR! DE! FRANCE! (G,O,A,T)!!! SOIDS! NOW! YOU! KNOW!
I clicked on this video because I’m researching indurain. I had to sit through a load of bullshit to get to the tiny part about Big Mig. Please stop with this click bait bullshit. We only have one life and every minute is precious.
He started winning because of using PED, that’s when it all started 1991 Tour de France
if you think he was all natural you are kidding yourself. he was just as dirty as the next batch of guys that were all dirty
Basque,no spanish.
