Excellent talk, Tyler, very much admire your courage and honesty. Also loved your book, read it several years ago. You are an american hero, in a deeper and much more meaningful way than any athlete.
He still did the really hard work for years, the doping didn’t do the work, but he knew he couldn’t compete without the same “equipment” all the others had.
He actually stated that he won more races without doping than he did whilst doping. It shows how Armstrong threw everyone under the bus to save his own ass, so much admiration for Tyler Hamilton, Frankie and Betsy Andreiu and Emma O'Reilly for their dignity.
He may have been involved in the doping program, but he was also forced into by Armstrong and despite all that once the scandals showed up, he knew he was done and unlike Armstrong, confessed to everything and voluntarily gave up his gold medal. I admire him for rebuilding his life and give public talks of emotional fragile he was on the whole program.
Tyler is charismatic. I like listening to him and it doesn't bother me he cheated for years during his time at US Postal. However, what I find interesting, and what I think bothers me on some level, is he seems to be making a fairly decent living talking about being a cheat. Being a liar and a cheat is still lucrative even when the game is done. It just serves to show there is no natural justice and even no real human justice for that matter.

this TDF doping story has another aspect to it that does not get much attention : the medical profession's role in all of this -----these MD's and their staff's and the drugs they made available while telling the athletes there was no risk to their health did terrible damage........all of these athletes that doped THAT DID NOT DIE shortly after starting on the program, are all still going to have a shorter life span than they otherwise normally would..........IATROGENIC EVENT definition : Doctor caused disease or death..........these Doctors lied through their teeth just to make money ----- and these athletes lives ?? who cares.......
Unfortunately business is the bottom line of everything- it all pends down to the question: How can we make the most money from this? Sports might be entertaining, but nobody works, or in this case plays, for free- and ultimately there's no point in putting in as much time as it takes to be a professional athlete if you aren't putting asses in the seats and making a certain amount of money- you have to meet that quota- and unfortunately the best way to do that is to take your top players, pump them full of something that'll give the fans and world something REALLY worth paying attention to and paying for, and presto: You've got a cash cow. It benefits everyone- the players make more money, the owners make more money, and the fans remain satisfied- everyone wins- even it's a giant stinking lie. Does it sound insanely awesome that a guy could win one of the toughest races in the world 7 times? Of course it does, but the point is: It sells. Money makes people do unbelievably crazy shit- and this is just another example of that.

Money makes people do unbelievably crazy shit- and this is just another example of that.
pass a mic, no question hearing possible, I'm not doped, so have no X-Ray ears
Today is way worse than those days!
naaah I don't buy it...first making money with Lance, then making money of Lance
He betrayed Lance.
Elliot Flowers thank god. If he didnt we would still believe his lies
he only narc'd cos he didn't want to get done himself. he narc'd for immunity.
so, it's better if all those cyclists continued to lie so you can continue adoring your heroes? - your heroes are NOT what you think.
Nope. He only came 'clean' after Landis was going to implicate him. They all folded. Lance didn't until he had no choice. A true cyclist.
A true doper you mean. Lance betrayed everyone who trusted him and admired him. Get your facts right.
I have zero respect for any man with a pony tail. Just saying. He looks ridiculous.
Haha, what a gay little pony tail.
He sounds like a complete dolt.
The new dope is Electric motor's inside racing bikes
Watch Froome accelerating downhill away from the motor cyclists following
He does this because he cannot be checked going downhill - it's too fast
It can be checked with infra red cameras uphill but not downhill
Its too fast to follow by camera
🤣🤣🤣🤣
