My favorite tip is the lovely rhythm of having certain meals on certain days... I have been doing some form of this since reading Simplicity Parenting a long time ago, and my kids really love it! Thank you Sarah! I love your videos :)

It is such a perfect time for the parents to switch to healthy eating. After all these children need healthy parents for as long as possible!

    Love your videos!
Another idea is to start very slow
Replacing one item at a time, changing one key ingredient. Then keep trying it.
Don’t give up! Kids go through eating phases of liking not liking, but my family is slowly replacing what we buy and eat - with healthier options.
Then after a year you look back and are like ...Wow look where we started!

I sincerely appreciate how fair and even handed this approach is, especially for the adults. It can be really difficult to change ones habits for the better when they've been for the worse for a long time, but I really love the idea of really setting aside some time to cook something as it's definitely a method with a strong psychological impact for the better!

Part of the picture about eating well is the fact that mom and dad work outside the home and arrive home hungry and tired....and so are the kids!
Crockpot meals can be a lifesaver because the ingredients can be prepped the evening before, set up to cook the following morning, and everyone comes home to a meal that's ready to serve.
    Beans and Ham, anyone? Yum!

Thank you a lot for all of your Videos, Sarah! I love watching them. I have a question and hope you can help me out. Its about every day rhythm...I would love to create our own every day rhythm for the week for my son (2 years) but I don't know how to do it as we are very much away from home visiting friends, doing things etc and all of them is very often very spontaneous and I can not plan them as a fix "to do" for a specific day (like "monday is the day we are visiting friends") as it also depends a lot from other persons. So how can I still make a week plan with rhythmic activities? Thank you a lot!

Pasta. No, whole grain isn't that much healthier, you should make your own pasta from scratch with 00 flour and 6 eggs, now that's healthy!
