This is the first version of bohemian rhapsody that I ever heard and that was the context I heard it in. I was VERY confused and quite disturbed. But after having seen it a few times, I can appreciate the genius behind it :D

She was at every rehearsal up until that point unlike Finn who still got to have all the solos and spotlight after quitting like 3 times. Realistically we can get into the implications of making her seem “lazy” especially after Amber Riley(the person who plays Mercedes) won DWTS and worked her ass off. That show did not want her to shine and thats why she didnt

Bet On It seems like a vocally challenging song and that was HSM 2 but he says he wasn't told they'd be using Drew's vocals in the first movie so it wasn't up to him. I think they even had him record the songs but still ended up using Drew's, or they mixed them or something.
TheSinkingShip Bet on it is vocally challenging, but it’s written within his range. Plus, at that point he had access to more resources and had years more of singing experience below his belt

Mike was the least problematic character in the show. Quinn, Santana, and Brittany were annoying at first but after the first season their character growth grew on me.

I didn’t like Emma at all and here’s why
Literally she keeps on obsessing over Will and I know she has OCD but in season one she went after a married man (yes will’s toxic relationship)
She’s not a good counselor. In season 4 when Will was going to Washington, she wanted to stay to support the kids and stuff but she does nothing. All Emma does is give them irrelevant pamphlets and call it a day. Literally when Kurt was being bullied the only person who truly helped was Sue. It’s *Emma’s Job* yet she didn’t do anything to help Kurt. She didn’t even help when Tina when Finn died she just gave her a weird *pamphlet* they just trashed her character.

i genuinely mean no offense to you personally, this is just where my stance lies on characters and people like these. i recognize that glee is a work of fiction and people deserve the freedom to like and admire characters irrespective of those characters' perceived "goodness" (in fact sometimes liking a morally grey or even bad person who is fictional is the whole point - since stories allow us to explore ideas and morality in a space free from real world consequences) BUT! here the conversation seems to have veered off to the point of arguments for sue being an actually good teacher. and i won't stand for it!
@@oof-rr5nf Personally I agree that Sue is a good teacher, because it's shown that she genuinely cares about her students while at the same time getting results.
It's in the episodes where she's the principal that really show that she cares. She stepped down from her authority position and became a cheerleading coach again, just so she could look out for Kurt and other students in similar positions like him. I doubt many people would do the same thing.
It's reasons like this why I personally think she's a good teacher.
Ummm... actually you’re right. Sue was better than Shue, but like only Beast and Emma were good. Sue has her faults and was a bully, but she also did plenty of good things. She took the fault for Becky shooting a gun in the school, genuinely gave her cheerleaders opportunity with scholarships, and protected Kurt from bullying. As soon as Kurt told her Karofsky threatened him, she got him expelled. Shue legit knew how bad the bullying was and never stepped in. He also was very immature in pursuing Emma when she was married, and I hated most of his story line. He’s a middle aged man who married his high school sweetheart, taught at his high school and restarted his high school glee club to relive the glory days. In comparison, Sue was just played up to be a villain so that there would be conflict in the story and so the writers could use offensive humor.
@@Evast23 TBH I also liked Holly Holiday as a teacher, because she actually listened to all the students and not just to Rachel. This was literally the main reason the students liked her. They were finally being heard and doing songs they actually liked as opposed to just doing Journey songs.
The only ones who disliked her were Rachel, because she wasn't in the spotlight anymore and Schue, because he was afraid she'd steal his job.
Holly's way of teaching was odd, but it was also effective, because IIRC she did help the students win an academic decathlon championship. Though you can just chalk that one up to pure coincidence, since it was an oddly specific question.

The saddest thing to me is that people actually think that this is what show choir is. As someone who has done show choir for YEARS this is not at all what show choir is.

Amber Riley is easily the best vocalist from the entire show and I'm so glad to see her success
fun fact: im pretty sure she was an opera singer of sorts before glee and she actually wasn't a belter at all which is nuts
