It's gorgeous in terms of the retro appeal, which is so much in demand in western markets. However, I don't think it will be well appreciated here in India, because some people might associate its looks with entry-level commuter bikes, and also because of the high asking price. I do feel that higher power figures could have been a game changer though.
Thats true but don't you think the fuel tank section could have been more muscular and and wider rear tyre . The bike would have been a mini w800 for sure . Anyways still not bad . Wish they brought the Estrella instead
Its sold in Indonesia like got cakes this might have a chance
@@MAKOS-ky5my Indonesia has a 250cc law bro. It is tough for them to afford 250cc+ because of taxes. They have no choice. Wo majboor hain aap nahi :P
This looks so bad
Yes, won't work, same price we have RE Hunter, old Suzuki GS150R made 15.5 bhp and this 175cc makes 13 bhp, won't work for current price tag, revise price for 1.15 to 1.20 and it will atleast sell
For an average height guy who loves retro machines. This is totally on the bucket list compared to heavier Enfield. ✔️
It looks like hero Honda entrylevel
Don't be discouraged by many people in India complaining about this bike. First, most of them are employees of Indian two wheelers who regularly target japanese brands on social media. And second, most Indians buy a feature rich bike with poor build quality, faux gear shift, vibration issue and after sales service.
175 cc engine is actually very nice bcos there are many people who doesn't want to buy heavy 250 cc - 350 cc engine bike and want the retro looking modern specs bike.
Yes but I can't pay almost 2 lakhs for that.
If Bajaj uses their 250CC engine, and make some tweaks in CT series, you will get a perfect made in india retro styled bike
Yes good idea ,bas ye Idea koi Rohit bajaj ko share kar de to maja aa jaye
Yes, very true. CT series or old vikrant are more suitable for modifying into retro classic designs.
At least old pulsar with round head light..
Don't compare japanese machine with...Bajaj.
they should, it is stupid of them to discontinue CT125x
First question, WHY?
I am surprised to see positive feedback on the bike in the comment section. At 135kgs, it may be light but 13bhp? My 17yr old unicorn 150 had 13.3 horses. Looks are subjective I understand, but I honestly don't know what Kawasaki is trying with this product. Regardless of how good the bike may ride/handle, the styling will keep alot of people from the even considering it. I understand retro, but this looks more like a 100cc commuter, reminds me of old Boxer CT(rear three quarters) may be a lil larger or Imperiale 400 with diet gone horribly wrong. And the pricing is being over optimistic. It may work for some, but I absolutely dislike it. May be seeing one in person may change my opinion, but until then its a big 👎 from my side.
Now that's a sensible enough comment.... exactly on point dude.... 🍻..the question is....why is this product even exist...??!
I was looking for this question and I had the same. Why? Neither in style nor in performance.🙄
I too thought the same.. since its manufactured here.. they started with a small one
It looks beautiful in person
The standard black is actually looking better from my eyes
Loving every bit of both the colours but the 3D emblem should have been given to the black one as well
The special edition looks stunning. As for the specs, it's competitors - Ronin and Hunter seem to be way ahead. However, the spare parts for Hunter would be expensive as expected of RE. TVS Ronin seems like a competition - it would be a real challenge if TVS is able to provide proper service, which many customers complain a lack of.
That is why Kawasaki w175 has a chance in the Indian market. It's retro look is well thought - we have a market for vehicles like this one. A market where demand doesn't meet supply.
At this price point W250 makes more sense with the same looks as W175.... but Kawasaki missed the opportunity here....
I think considering the pricing buyers will move to RE Hunter 350 as it looks more appealing also pricing is at par
147000 is too Much for this (177cc)
because
Enfield giving you 350cc. In same price and more attractive looks
@@kamalasavadatti966 even tho there's differences in engine cc, top speed for both bikes are similar..
45 kmpl millage
Tad look
Here ,I think Kawasaki miss calculate the mind of indian buyer. At the time hunter 350 and tvs Ronin 255, it is going to be total failure, as majority of buyer going to calculate basis of value for money.
At the price of 1.5 lakhs obvious choice will be hunter or Ronin. Price below 1.2 lakhs may be perfect for this bike as per current indian market.
But surely bike is looking damn good retro.
Ronin is 225cc
Finally competition for Hero Honda Splendor...
I wonder why Hero Splendor, Bajaj CT 100 Or TVS Radeon is not making a rounded head lamp to make them look retro.
CT110X is the closest to being a retro styled bike
The price is almost similar to RE Hunter 350 retro. It is a 175cc with less power output, it should have been placed with more aggressive pricing to gain attention of Indian customers.
Bruh it's Kawasaki, ofcourse they are going to charge a premium.
Also with shit design...
Kind a looking like bikes used to see in mid 80s nd early 90 s
Isn't it
@@needimanh extra for shit
@@sudeepnayak4568 yes! India is a huge market and kawasaki completely failed in understanding the market.
@@sudeepnayak4568 well , that's the whole purpose of this concept in the first place
They are trying to catch the 150cc-200cc market in India I guess. Looks wise and the quality of parts may be good. Assuming ride and handling to be good. Also, I like the flat seat(comfortable for rider and pillion). Though this is a like 175cc bike with 125cc specs, 13 ps power, single disk and single-channel ABS? Front shocks look thin.
Inspired from Bajaj ct100 😀
The CT 125x looks way better Neo retro than this... for like what half the price...
CT 125X look like for business men bike ( dukandar ) rural bike
Kawaski W 175 is a urban retro classic bike
@@yambungcha1973 it was said satirical way
0:19 - Bike looks gorgeous. Chunky rear tyre and metallic rims would have made this look even better. Dual ABS and LED's needed for this price. Else, a better price.
Looks like Yamaha Crux. What a wonderful bike it was of its time.
Yes, looks like Yamaha curx or TVS rodeon or old hero honda cd 100
Only thing we get is a Kawasaki branding... Nothing more to expect... Many other options available with better pricing and service.... 🙏
Kawasaki branding is enough to pull the sale !
Hello Rohit,
This motorcycle bears a 175 cc motor. Kawasaki has already surprised us (the Indian market) with a 175 cc engine in the Kawasaki Bajaj Eliminator back in 2000. Can you make a comparison between the two engines/motorcycles? For ease you can have my motorcycle, I have a very beautifully maintained Eliminator. Also, this will help people like me to acquire spares (when needed) for the eliminator if they're the same for W175... Hopeful to get a response from you.
This engine seems to be the same one(modernised though) of the same mill that was on the Eliminator 175, whose base design was used to design the pulsar 150/180 engines. So it has like travelled all the way back to India after 20 years.
@@EmotoZ apke video kyun nahi aarahe hein bro?
@@PATTANAIK_GAMER very soon.
Why Royal Enfield
Seems compitition is with splendor
Splendor is lethal beast in front of this.
don't you dare diss my boi splendor like that..
I publically apologize to all splendor lover 😊
Hi people, Let me put my point of view here, I think this bike is not for "THE" Indian market but its for a particular group of customers in the market. The group which loves the retro looks, mechanisms, and riding conditions. You guys might know there is still high demand for RX100 and other RX series and bikes from other brands that came as its competition. The RX100 in perfect condition is selling for 1.2-1.3 lakhs in Chennai or even more. Considering the new bylaws reducing the age of bikes to 20 years (i guess) and considering the mindset of most of the Indian families who would be happy or comfortable with their son/ daughter buying an "old" bike for such a high price. This will be a good option for that group of customer who is crazy about the retro look and feel and the people who would take up a retro bike without a second thought over other modern-day bikes. Also, the test from the Philippines shows that the top speed is 131 km/h which is more than enough legally. Also, I believe people who love retro would understand it's not always about high speeds , racing or power. I'm having a 2011 thunderbird now and I love cruising it at an average speed. I think this comment might be helpful. THIS BIKE IS NOT MADE FOR ALL and yes it might be hard for all to understand.
Also, you can any day put in bigger tires and LEDs if you want to. That solves the issues with the looks. I have seen many Indonesian W175s looking like a beast.
At the least the colour options available in Indonesian model should have been offered.
This is the best lightweight retro bike... I will go for this ❤️❤️
I also booked this bike
@@greenloveshayari4020Hi bro, can I buy this bike?
This is not chapri bike.. This is kawasaki and quality is 👌👌❤️❤️
superb ....bike, waiting for road test videos . as a whole this is real good branded bike with bhp , torque , weight & price .
hope kawasaki come up with chrome tank and chrome front fender in future .
thank you sir .
dual channel abs would have been great as an option
I think kawasaki still struck in past.I really expect something more from kawasaki in retro style.
If it's come with alloys, and dual abs ,
Then it's considerable
Should have been w250 at this price point
Yes. The price is almost similar to that of Hunter 350 retro.
Nah man the brand value of Kawasaki is more than RE don't expect the W250 to be below 2.60 lac OTR if there is any chance of launch
@@unknownanimist2200 🤣🤣
India doesn't work on brand value, but value for money. Seems like this won't sell as expected. Too pricey..
@@unknownanimist2200 okay w250 at 1.5 is over expectation.. but w175 shouldn't be higher than 1.3
Common yaar you are giving a basic bike with no features and power.. what are you charging 1.5 for ??
I'll pick Honda CB350 or RE anyday over this..... seems like Kawasaki is still in 2000s mindset where people didn't really care about specs and data was not easily accessible as it is today.
The red is nice but I prefer the black . But I’d be tempted to do something stupid and do a chrome/paint tank . Maybe remove the stock tank and store it safely and buy another one that I can go crazy with ?
How easy is it for a company like Kawasaki, that makes the world's only supercharged motorcycle production engine, to make a simple 350 or 400 long stroke, slap it in a decent chasis, sprinkle the package over with a bit of classic looks and "heritage" (Kawa has a lot) and launch it within months. It's so easy for a company that makes supercharged motorcycles just for the fun of it. But alas, strategists don't divine such simple truth apparently.
No rear disc brake at 1.47 lakh 😟
Because, "retro".
(Sarcasm)
I think some Indian think tanks from Kawasaki india has made this marvellous looking bike feel commuter type.... Again i feel indians are being with held or neglected from experiencing premium features like extra bhp, usd forks, dual abs etc...
If you say the ex-showroom price is 1.47 .. But when it hits the market it'll be at least 1.67 ex-showroom especially in South Indian States. And that's why i feel we need Uniform Price Code.... Seriously.
Black is good but golden lines missing... i will wait for more colour option
gift for lean people who loves retro style
As per me, GOOD ONE. But see, today all companies are giving more features...! So KAWASAKI also must add
1. DUAL CHANNEL ABS
2. TUBELESS TYRES
3. METER CONSOLE RPM they should add. And is there any TIME, GEAR SHIFT, AVERAGE MILEAGE, DISTANCE TO EMPTY like these features INDICATORS?
4. POWER and TORQUE still more they should add
5. TYRE SIZE littlebit wider they should add
6. LED LIGHTS must and should. DRL lights.
7. SIDE STAND cut off
8. Is there Kicker option?
9. SEATS littlebit littlebit length and slightly wider they should add
10. ANY BLUETOOTH Connectivity is there? CHARGING SOCKET any?
11. GPS Maps location???
12. Traction Control any??
These all above features if they provide means DEFINITELY this bike will rule the Indian Market for few years...! NO DOUBT...!
13. And yaaa SERVICE CENTRES they should bring in almost all cities and sub cities as well...! Spare parts they should be ready to provide very fast.
Need green color and also we need chrome elements. That is missing
Except exhaust note remaining of the bike looks like caliber but the exhaust sound is superb & is unique
Eu gosto deste tipo de motocicleta perfeita! Tragam para o para o Brasil
I like this kind of perfect motorcycle! Bring it to Brazil
enough space for pillion , finally a good bike for families , hope it has good millage . instead of xpulse 400 , hero shd work on 200cc splender . there is no family bikes in this segment . this bike looks like upgraded version of splender cool
Good decision from Kawasaki, India is in need of good engine motorcycle at budget cost and retro look. Otherwise our option is limited to those alien looking style from Yamaha,Honda and not really retro good looking Ronin !
I think this bike is more suitable for Kawasaki big bike owners who need something for the city and visiting local grocery, doctors, lawyers, social gathering etc. But is not into scooters or sitting inside cars.
They will get this riding a retro feeling daily, with more fuel efficiency than their big bike while staying different visibly from the fellow road users on a Bullet 350 , as they do when they are on their big bikes.
Kawasaki had a bike called the Eliminator though.
If it is lighter weight, lighter cc then price also should be lighter.
1.77 Lacs on road price for 175 cc is more in my view.
Coming to brand I accept its Kawasaki big brand, RE also big brand and getting a 350 cc bike less than 2lacs.
So they has to think about price in this huge competition field.
At least they has to give seating some stylish way like w800.
It's looking like upgrade version of CT 125x.
RE is not as established as Kawasaki
It looks sturdy and simple. Only thing I feel is that the chain cover spoils the overall look. But l love this bike. 👍 Good review 👏
Some memories with kawasaki Bajaj Elementar 175. In 2001.
You stuck the right point it's same cylinder bore piston setup from eliminator tuned for BS6 norms . Actually it's eliminator in classic looks . Like YAmaha ,Kawasaki is fooling Indian customers by giving outdated technology .
One question, a 175cc engine, why not a 300-350cc engine? I mean Kawasaki is known for their high displacement engines. So, why its not arrived. Or any plans in the future for local manufacturing.
I think this bike is for middle class men becoz now a days petrol price hike 100 rs per litre and this bike daily purpose retro look bike i like this bike
Middle class? Middle class peoples at least they expect minimum 60kms mileage inside city...! Will this bike gives 60kms mileage inside city???
Take love from Bangladesh ♥️
Zigwheel please do a test ride review, it's so unfortunate you haven't done the review yet
Gives Bajaj caliber 115 vibes. But at this spec needs to be a sub 1 lakhs bike. This won't sell at this price. No way in hell.
Even the caliber looks much more better than this even today
Caliber 115, and wind 125 were their last but few of their best commuter motorcycles of those days...
@@varunmurali6367 that's why I bought two calibers and I just sold my 2nd bike last year☹️
Black looks stunning 😍 👌
Unlike Ronin, hunter and other bullshit, W175 actully looks Retro.
Price sensitive market like India might welcome this new bike. Wish Kawasaki Success....
Definitely failed product
is this going to be in the Philippines next year?
Kawa should launch a 350cc long stroke Engine bike & it should look like W800
Would like to see these imported into the UK.
For the price of 1.47lakhs...it should have come with dual channel ABS and LED lightings and digital instrumental cluster
Digital instrument cluster? My guy it's supposed to be a retro motorcycle.
looks like the Bajaj CT100B from a distance
Does it worth at this price point ?
Absolutely no. Go buy hunter 350 with that 1.5 lakhs
Wah amazing. 13ps not even 15, i guess Yamaha influencing Kawasaki and gave them a challenge to make a higher cc engine with low power output
These came out off the 80 s stock from their godowns and priced them with the current market .
Looks like Bajaj Boxer - the classic doodhwala bike. game over Kawasaki!
cruise in 180 cc with better sitting posture...something which we waiting for the alternate option for RE in maintenance and average .....
This BIKE is nice n TIKAU with little bit more power...perfect in India..price I think 10k more but its KAWASAKI
Kicker starting ?
Heading for a head-on collision with the style department
Where will I get this? In only kawasaki showroom or... Pls tell
Simple bike. Looks promising. Incompetent Kawasaki dealers will screw it up
Very nice model. 👌 I loved it.
Fantastic humble bike
beautiful kawasaki w se
Why didn't they release it in Kawasaki green?
An alternative to CT 100... 😄😄😄 Bajaj will sweat from tomorrow...
Bajaj won't 🤣🤣the price of the CT100 is two times cheaper than the W175
@@raajrane Dude... Really... And you took it seriously...?😄😄😄 I know that CT100 is a sports bike and shouldn't have compared it with this bike as Overdrive did it with an RE...
Is it FI or carborator?
Simply good review like the motorcycle.
I wish they had this model in Canada.
Overdrive if u could appeal Kawasaki to also launch w175 scrambler street tracker along with its siblings.we didnt have good enough luck to deserve zx25r but we do deserve w175 scrambler.please Kawasaki please bring it to India.
I am felling it has the retuned Kawasaki eliminator engine
Hope so
A good bike doomed to fail for - one price and second power figures. Kawasaki should have considered bigger displacement twin engine retro bike. Commuter buyer is definitely not looking for retro with this kind of output
Donot know what kawasaki is trying......is it another Rajdoot in India? I think this bike looks better in international markets....
Reg price,TVS Rolin has 225 cc engine almost same price methinks....
I am sure the engine is going to be refined and bike of good quality. But isn't it outdated. Retros have also evolved so much.
Are they rear set foot pegs?? Or front?
When did other colours are coming to India
Good design and be competitive to Royal enfield. But my suggestion is develop with double side gear lever rod as in Royal enfield..
It is fuel injected??
Sir good but running charge battery switch where is said my w 175 Kawasaki battery is dead one 20 days battery dead
Definitely the black colour looks better imo. Anyway I have to see it in flesh before taking a final call...
Look wise byke so awesome😊But I'm disappointed for aircooled engine.
Green me hai??
Vintage look... Awesome..!!! but i don't like tube tyre.. 😔 should be tubeless..
Only service problems are coming to those owner....
Grand looking Official classic commuter bike
Onroad price is what
Spoke wheels ?
Only noticeable demerit is tubeless tyres not present in this bike
Whats the top speed?
