I love her beautiful singer songwriter undoubtedly the golden era for pop music and beat music beautiful miss that era and people Donna Summer gave many hits in those years
I used to listen to this song after my best friend Randi died in an accident. Donna Summer's vocals are soar and the music is fun and hopeful. It makes me feel good to think that my friend, and now Donna Summer herself, have finished their work for us, and they will carry on in a new existence somewhere somehow.
Wow it's funny you say this because the song also reminds me of a dead friend of mine who died of AIDS in the 90s and everytime I hear this song it reminds me of him
Carry On - one of the best ever Donna Summer songs. I will also vote in Stop Look and Listen as second best. Also, I will go with you - wow. The voice- amazing. Class act all the way. Donna - we miss you! Definitely the Queen of Pop.
La, la, la, la, la, la Carry on Carry on my love Just don't look back again Follow the dream that's in you Say so long Say so long my love Just get it right this time You know it's all up to you You've wandered down this road so long But faith keeps telling you to go on, go on Carry on, carry on Carry on, carry on Carry on Carry on my love Just don't look back again Look for the strength that's in you Say so long Say so long my love Trust in your heart again You know it's all up to you You've wandered down that road so long But faith keeps telling you to go on, go on Carry on, carry on Carry on, carry on Carry on Carry on my love Just don't look back again Look for the strength that's in you Say so long Say so long my love Baby, baby don't be afraid Baby you can make it baby Baby, baby, baby, baby carry on You can make it Baby, baby, baby, baby, baby Baby, baby, baby carry on

la più fantastica topsinger di tutti i tempi....eppure il suo talento non è stato ancora percepito legato troppo al suo passato disco...tutta da rivalutare .....
I did not know that and it's funny because this song reminds me of a very dear friend of mine who was originally from New York City who died of AIDS in 1995 when I was working at a gay bar in Melbourne Florida... his name was Robert Demaris... he was 46 at the time, the same age i am now!! 1995 was.. as you might remember, a sort of turning point with AIDS/HIV+ medicines. I worked at the gay bar ((It was called Saturday's then, and after that after my first lover and i quit/left, the name changed to a boring blase name of "Cold Keg", really a lame name for a gay club LOL)) in Melbourne, Florida from 1992 thru 1995, and in that 4 year period i lost so many friends, maybe 100. Of course, after 1995 less and less ppl were dying, thanks to new better medicines. Robbie was in so much pain that last year and he was on massive painkillers and this was before Oxycontin. He was taking methadone with Percocet for breakthrough pain.. as well as smoking marijuana to keep his appetite up and he was also using cocaine to combat the pain.. He also developed the classic AIDS look of that time.. he was very very thin and obviously sick.. and he was tall, like 6'5", and he hung around another sick guy named John Kidd, also very tall and thin, and he was even sicker. He died around the same time. .. So I dedicate this to my friends who I lost to AIDS Robert Demaris, John Kidd, Greg Stoner, David Boudreaux, Robert ??, Rick ?? and Roy??, Ben ?? and Jimmy Slater, Bill ??, Richard Goodnow, Jay ??, Fred Silva, Ronnie Patterson, Matthew (Mimi) Firebaugh, Misty Garrison, Karen George, Jessica Jackson, and many many many more.. (the last 3 were old school Florida drag queens of the pre 1995 era, and Fred Silva was Brevard County, Florida's first officially noted AIDS death... Fred died around 1988 or 1989
She is heaven.

Long live the music of the late Donna Summer.
She is so amazing and beautiful in this video she is very youthful and vibrant I would think she was no more than 39 or 40
