Little tip: You can store spare flints in with the wadding, with those lighters. Also, the fuel tends to evaporate over time, so a vape juice bottle with some fuel in it is always good to keep with it. Saves carrying a whole tin of fuel.
Maybe we should all get a mangle and a washboard, and a big tin bath to stomp the washing in 😁
@@ladyj5331 sounds like a. Plan.
It does sound like a plan but you can also get manual washing machines and get an extra grater for making soap flakes to help clean your clothes. Metal probably better than the plastic stuff you would find commercially generally like you say!
Even if you don't buy anything, just seeing old stuff helps you think about how things use to be done and may need to be done.
Car boots are good if you go to a big one they always have tools old and new as well as preppers gear if you look hard enough cheers mike 👍
Car boots to save money and charity shops. Nice place though 😊
I enjoy looking round places like that looking for old books and tools.
the singer has a locking ring on the end for when you move them , so you can usually get them really cheap if people dont realise
I'm favoured, $90K every week! I can now give back to the locals in my community and also support God's work and the church. God bless America,, all thanks to Ms Sophia Good day all from Australia cia
Well now, a few very nice oil presses 9:40 there, mate. Go into your local woods, gather up a load of beech nuts, press them and you'll have fresh, organic cooking oil for months. Thanks for the video, it was a really enjoyable tour.
My wife would love a Singer. Where was this?
And were these manual singers? With a pedal?
I liked that heavy lamp for £59.
How did you get on with your car re charging ?
Boot Sales have some random items that can be put to bushcraft/camp use. Sadly they are becoming wild places due to the migrant types that like to rob and steal there.
Great place, I love things like that. I also have a little obsession with oil lamps. I have a small collection, including two original Duplex lamps. I found all my lamps on carboot sales, where you can get a much better price than in such stores. I miss an original old storm lamp. Usually when I find one it is either very damaged or the price exceeds my budget. Of course I have a new storm lamp, but I would like one from the period when they were commonly used.
Good range at this place! Liquor party piece exciting. Perfect range for low tech and more manual based prepping. Tried and tested. Thanks for sharing and if passing by Doone will go there.
Great video
I have a thing for oil lamps i have 7 at present
