That said, the Hela nerf DID kick her deck in the balls. It made a two combo piece into a MANDATORY three combo piece. This is vital for consistency. And the results are there to prove it. She was left out and now Clog dominates even harder lmao.
I do agree with Alex saying that Copycat change makes the card feel worse, it also killed the card in Mill. Also, I want the old Loki play-style back. I don't care for the numbers right now, the old play-style was so good and unique. Now, Loki is only used to reduce Arishem's deck size
I want the 4/5 Loki but remove the discounts. He already runs quinjet and it fixes every problem. Loki comes back as an archetype and is much more bearable for the opponent, and Arishem loses the synergy. The current Loki feels awful to play. 2/2 when trying to cheat out many cards feels like a waste of board space and then it's also luck which cards you draw, which feels even worse to lose to

Alex said that all the Junk in the meta is what is hurting Madame Web but that's what is really hurting Symbiote Spider-Man. I believe that's why his win/cube rate is low. I killed with SSM his release week. But then the meta shifted to a Counter (Cosmo)/Junk meta.
Galactus is a fun card, but I don't like how it reduces the amount of Season Pass XP you get. You get 10 XP per won location, and when only one is in a contest, that can be a significant reduction long-term
Clog being clog. Ironically, this was the season I reached top-500 just by snapping literally every game and beating clog. Clog fells ass to play against, but at the end of the day, it’s rather predictable and not that strong. White Widow still needs a nerf, tho. Yet another one.
SD really fumbled with card text this season. Araña has the exact same text as Firge, with move added on, and that card works in the exact opposite order than Forge.
Alex, do you think Loki would be better as like a 2/2 activate that said “Replace your hand with 3 cards from your opponent’s deck. They cost 1 less.” That way you can’t do moon girl nonsense and it can be more fun and immediate than it is right now.

I played snap for a couple months just over a year ago. And randomly got the snap chat in my UA-cam algorithms and decided to watch them and see what's happening in the game, I've been hard playing the game for the past 4 months and tune in every Monday. Keep it up guys ❤
All cards except Silver Sable have fallen short. They didn't survive the overhype. For me: Symbiote Spider-Man 3⭐ now with 4⭐potential. Plan B with Nimrod and Namora. Too telegraphed, too weak to Clog and locations cluttering the board. And honestly, a boring card for me. Silver Sable 4⭐ and 5⭐ in Bounce. Simply a perfect card. She gave us what we expected. Good buy with tokens. Madame Web 4⭐right now in a Clog world but a 5⭐ star in the future because she is a unique card, that not only changes the way we play Move, she has also made powerful hybrid decks with a small move package. I would buy it with tokens. Araña 3'5⭐ Madame Web, Nico's Spell and Grapple Arrow can Move It to the right too so it's not as unique. I wouldn't spend tokens. But its a nice card to have. She improves Madame Web and Phoenix Force decks. Scarlet Spider 3⭐ Perfectly fine card. But we live in a meta of big numbers and Clog, so it falls way short. Few synergies. I wouldn't spend resources on him.
This is EXTREMELY accurate. Like I've played for an entire YEAR NOW starting in September of 2023 when Loki first came out, took a break for this season and I don't feel behind at all, like MAYBE I'll get scarlet spider or Madame Web with tokens in the future

I think a factor that wasn't touched here is that season pass cards seem slower or rarer to show up in Spotlight Caches, therefore buying them with tokens is a much more alluring prospect. For f2p players saving up and waiting for their season to end is the fastest way to acquire a card like Gwen and Kate Bishop, I personally bought both of them in September. But in general when friends ask me what to buy with tokens, as long as they have somewhat of a collection already, I usually recommend finding a deck they like and working towards it. Like, if you enjoy zoo you really should get Gilgamesh and Mockingbird asap and those are more likely to improve your experience playing the game than, say, Red Guardian, even if he's kind of a staple. Not like you need 100% copied decks to play the game anyway, unexpected tech is very powerful in Snap. Nocturne has been dropped from many midrange decks since her nerf in favour of the other 3-drops but I still run her and am still very pleased with her. This kinda goes into buff/nerf overreaction by the playerbase though, which is a separate topic. Maybe for a future Snap Chat? :D
I would love to see the token shop done as a tier ranking. The amount of series 4 and 5 cards would probably take awhile though. Thanks as always Alex!!!
I'm sure they could always do a tier list for Series 4 and Series 5 separately or even a Top 5 or Top 10 list. Since Series 4 and Series 5 have different costs in the token shop, doing them separately might actually be better.
symbiote spider-man is bad bc so many clog decks, maybe u guys havent played againts some of those, but againts Debrii, goblins, Hood and widows kisses, symbiote is a dead card
I've been playing offensive move to toss opponents around like ragdolls forever. It's super fun. Kingpin, Kraven, Spider-Man, Polaris, Stegron, Cannonball, Aero, Magneto, etc. I'm stoked for Scream, but a little bummed that the masses are finally gonna figure out how fun that deck is. Bring on the mirror matches!
I'm surprised clog was not nerfed, viper being 3/4 would make sense now, maybe give cannonball his nerf back. Clog has too many tools now and is arguuably much worse to play against than hela

I feel like the biggest issue with activate is not being able to activate till the following turn so it’s play isn’t till at best the turn after while just being raw stats the moment you play it. If activate gets a rework where you have the option to activate on the same turn you play it’ll really help activate. Playing activate cards on T6 is nothing but an average stated card.
One of the catchphrases I've never been able to keep count of is how many cards you claim to be "plug and playable", because I'm telling you now, it's just about every card and at least once a video. 🤣

I’m not surprised the stats are low. I don’t feel like Symbiote Spider-Man is that good at all honestly. Generally easy to tell what someone is doing and you have to play a specific way for it to work. Just feels pretty convoluted in a lot of games.
The reason the activate cards fell flat is that you can't activate the same turn you play. So many times both of the spidermans were terrible b/c i couldn't use them when i had them available. Activate should be used to make something more flexible, not restrictive. 4/5 cost cards as activate are going to be tough. Hell cow works well b/c you have a card you want to play on 6 that needs it.
While I know scarlet spider isnt as good as we thought, i feel like this meta is part of why he feels so bad. He doesnt beat hela and clog also dunks on him

I'm not the biggest fan of the "this oe that" style of token shop talk. Would've really liked a top 5 or top 10 list considering how meta focused the game is as Cozy said. Sometimes I never know where to put my priorities and it would be nice to have some feedback without comparing each one to Arishem. That's the one card I know I DON'T want, but knowing where to best soend the resources right now would be very helpful.
How can you be surprised about Symbiote Spiderman? I almost want to snap when the opponent plays it. It is so telegraphed (the actual word) that if you get caught, that's on you. Cosmo/Red Guardian ruins this card.
This season was an especially strong let down after the relative joy of the previous season. Nothing really special and nothing that felt compelling to play. Considering how hard it is to get new cards, cards that don't pop aren't going to get played.
Mailbag Question: With the changes to 3 costs (Luke cage, Elsa) awhile back I noticed that cards like these get board wide effects. And majority of 2 costs have single lane effects. Would it be time to bring Cosmo down to a 2/3?
Post infinite statistics are a mixed meh. I personally only look at top 10% for card evaluation. As they are honestly the more consistent players who mostly only play meta
Move is a great place now. I don't believe changing how move works is a good idea (or the structure of how cards are scaled) and making web a better card in other architype is either. A 2/3 web, that is just a better jeff, in my opinion (feel free to disagree). Move shouldn't have to take a hit for web to be better in other decks. It would be sad if move was made mid. The point of move is to think more through how and when one is going to play there cards. Hence, one wrong move with move can really damange one's board state.
War machine essentially turns all your cards into a Jeff, he single-handedly butchered Jeff like a horror movie victim, I Def regret using 6k tokens on him and plan on using up to 4 keys for wm next week 🤦♂️

Sable was card of the month
Thanos is one of the worst series 5 cards. The pick between him and Galactus is about as easy as it gets.
That’s because thanos requires you to actually think about what you’re doing compared to other decks

I’m not surprised the stats are low. I don’t feel like Symbiote Spider-Man is that good at all honestly. Generally easy to tell what someone is doing and you have to play a specific way for it to work. Just feels pretty convoluted in a lot of games.

The reason the activate cards fell flat is that you can't activate the same turn you play. So many times both of the spidermans were terrible b/c i couldn't use them when i had them available. Activate should be used to make something more flexible, not restrictive. 4/5 cost cards as activate are going to be tough. Hell cow works well b/c you have a card you want to play on 6 that needs it.

I agree with u on the loki take, I think if he came back changing your hand but only cards that started on your deck could be fine? Or maybe giving the cards -1 power too, idk I just dont like the new loki

I'm not the biggest fan of the "this oe that" style of token shop talk. Would've really liked a top 5 or top 10 list considering how meta focused the game is as Cozy said. Sometimes I never know where to put my priorities and it would be nice to have some feedback without comparing each one to Arishem. That's the one card I know I DON'T want, but knowing where to best soend the resources right now would be very helpful.

How can you be surprised about Symbiote Spiderman? I almost want to snap when the opponent plays it. It is so telegraphed (the actual word) that if you get caught, that's on you. Cosmo/Red Guardian ruins this card.
This season was an especially strong let down after the relative joy of the previous season. Nothing really special and nothing that felt compelling to play. Considering how hard it is to get new cards, cards that don't pop aren't going to get played.

Post infinite statistics are a mixed meh. I personally only look at top 10% for card evaluation. As they are honestly the more consistent players who mostly only play meta

Move is a great place now. I don't believe changing how move works is a good idea (or the structure of how cards are scaled) and making web a better card in other architype is either. A 2/3 web, that is just a better jeff, in my opinion (feel free to disagree). Move shouldn't have to take a hit for web to be better in other decks. It would be sad if move was made mid. The point of move is to think more through how and when one is going to play there cards. Hence, one wrong move with move can really damange one's board state.

War machine essentially turns all your cards into a Jeff, he single-handedly butchered Jeff like a horror movie victim, I Def regret using 6k tokens on him and plan on using up to 4 keys for wm next week 🤦♂️

One 'minor' qualm though....why are all the Snap creators creating other channels regarding Pocket? Isn't Snap paying the bills or somethin? Seems like what I've seen this meta is a lot of greedy 'we got an wong panther player here' power hungry 200 power in lanes, maybe snap has corrupted some creators to also be chasin MOAR?

It's so annoying to me that Symbiote doesn't work with Araña nor Scarlet Spider. It reads to me like SSM should merge with those cards and reset them (like they just revealed).
