Thank you for this! What an amazing tip! They also need to be kept out of the rain. I just bought some beautiful mums and want to keep them as long as possible. ♥
On behalf of my mums, thank you for the innovative tip! 💮 I always wanted them and this year decided to go for it, so I bought white, red, yellow, a rust color, and of course, purple!
If you take your potted mums out of the pot break up the roots then plant them in the ground with a good fertilizer they will come back every year. Put them in the ground by Nov some cut the flowers back once planted and cover over winter with leaves for some protection.
Thanks for sharing

How long can they be kept indoors before planting ?
Thanks for tips. I just moved to KY 6 months ago from Iowa and bought my 1st Mum plant. Hoping not to kill it lol

Wow so nice 👏👌😍
Thank you!
How long should you leave the mums in the water container?
Depending on how dry the soil is, I usually let it absorb water for at least 30 minutes or until the pot feels heavier.
@@GardeninginKentucky Thank you so much!
Just in time- my mums from the farmers market are struggling 😮
Thank you for watching!
how often do water? thanks!
I do a finger test. When the soil feels dry, you need to water them.
