Speaking as an Elite controller 2 owner I can tell you that it malfunctioned after 3 months of use, had it replaced and the next one malfunctioning after 2 months, R1 only works 50% of the time this happened on both, and the left analog was left at a constant steady turn left on the second, meanwhile both my original controllers work absolutely faultless after 4 years of abuse.

I play with the elite 2 on PC. Love the feel of it. I use the sticks on full tension and only use 2 of the back paddles for warzone. Havnt found any abnormal stick drift issues like a lot of people mention but i did have one of the rear paddle actuator buttons fail. I returned it within the 1yr warranty period and got a new replacement on the day plus my warranty got extended for 1 more year from the return date. Im in australia so not sure of consumer laws in other countries but i was pretty happy as it costs A$250. One nice thing i like is that as its a microsoft product the software on windows is flawless.

I have had an Elite series 2 for just over 2 years and have used it nearly every day since I got it. I have 0 issues with it. There's no real noticeable stick drift so far as long as I don't bring the deadzones to the absolute minimum, it works like it's brand new. The only issue I have is that my A button is a little soft and it has basically always been soft. The rest of the face buttons all have that distinguishable click when pressed down and A has always been muddy on mine but the A button is also almost always mapped to a paddle so it is more of a non-issue for me.
The amount of customization you get through the app is way more than just button mapping too. Custom sensitivity and acceleration, how much it rumbles, where you want the triggers to register, there's a lot to it and each individual profile you make gets it's own series of customization on top of the button mapping. It's 100% worth the buy but I do have to acknowledge that I seem to be in the luckier group of people who just haven't had any real problems with it. Either that or everyone else treats their controllers absolutely horrendously.

I bought a near mint used Elite 2 about a year ago for $60 CDN (an absolute steal I couldn’t pass up). I was using an og powera fusion (the one with the ugly gold D pad and triggers) before that. This was such a huge upgrade from the fusion and I could not believe how good it felt. I love the weight, circular dpad and rubber grips especially. I have not had any issues with it yet and I do play regularly. I wonder how many people with elite 2 issues are man-children and have been too rough with it. I don’t rage with games (I play to have a good time), and have never dropped or thrown it. My money is not unlimited so I want it to last as long as possible.

The Elite 2 is the best controller for gaming. From changing tension in driving/shooter games, configuring the controller feel like an Xbox 360, to making or mapping buttons for every single game and making a profile for each new play style makes every time i turn on my Xbox more exciting. The controller also feels very personalized, and with additional parts you can further customize the controller. Wide pads help with driving games, replacement short paddles are less in the way for more rapid taps. The trigger stops are good but i barely use them. Only in fast paced PVP games.
Overall if you can manage to get a working controller and treat it right, the Elite 2 will perform very well

Go get a Power A controller; either the Fusion Pro 2, which has paddles on the back, or get the Fusion Pro 3 which has back buttons. The reason that I love these controllers is simple, individuals get adaptive triggers, they get a choice of back buttons, or back paddles, and the warranty is a year. To add onto the fact that the warranty is a year, they will replace the controller entirely for almost any reason. This means that no matter what it may be, stick drift, broken adapters, etc, you get a new free controller with another years worth of warranty on top of that. (You may have to buy it separately, and GameStop has a good warranty program as well.) This company is genuinely amazing and really hits hard on giving you controllers that last a long time, as well as feel great in the hands if your an xbox controller kind of person. Furthermore they have controllers which are cheaper, but only have 2 back buttons instead of 4, and some may or may not have adaptive triggers. These cheaper ones are anywhere from $32-$45. Where as if you go with the either pro version they run you just around $79-$85 dollars. With the warranty included if you so choose to go through GameStop, you are looking at around $101 buckaroonies. That is still less than half the price, I can not preach to anyone enough the quality, reliability, and performance of these controllers. Much love to those folks over at PowerA for bringing the people what we deserve. You will not regret getting any PowerA controller, Pro edition or not. To add onto that, you can change the face plates as well. Or just take the one you have on off which is held on through magnets and just hydro dip it yourself, then put a clear coat on. (on the pro edition controllers)

I'm not writing this to dismantle this video or disrespect it if what I'm about to say in this comment goes against anything I'll see in the rest of this video. I just want to stop people for making the same mistake I did. For people that play Apex or other shooters with 0% Deadzone DO NOT get the Elite 2. I got it and had it replaced immediately because right out of the box there was SERIOUS stick drift even at the tightest right stick setting . I put a work order in and the replacement had the same issue so I just returned it and am waiting for the money currently. I'm not saying this to be toxic or anything, I just want to possibly save someone the month I wasted waiting for the controller and it's replacement just for both to have serious shot affecting such drift. If I can help one person not make the same mistake I did this was more than worth it. I'm not sure about the fusion P2 but the P1 I used was solid for 1¾ before the left stick started malfunctioning which is still very solid for a 40$ controller.

I like the elite because I can program the controller R3 and L3 to the paddles using MS software. I want to avoid putting as tension I can on the sticks . And for BDO I can transfer the space to A and shift to the paddles, works perfectly for BDO. after a year of use the side skin is pealing off , the left joystick does get stuck minor issue for me. Honestly I think that these high end controllers aren’t worth their price when they can develop stick drift in months. I’d much rather use a stock Xbox controller that has a back paddle attachment (as long as it’s quality), and swap it as I wear out controllers. That or a really long warranty on parts for wear and tear.
The PS4 back paddles as well as the backplate kits you can get on amazon to me seem so much more worth it when compared to the SCUF/Elite/120$+ controllers.

This is a small thing, but for future videos of this type it would be helpful if you refer to the controllers by their names. In my case, and I assume I'm not the only one that ever does this, I was attempting to listen to the video while doing something else. You always referred to the controller as "this one" or a variation of that. If someone is only listening they have no idea which one "this one" is. No big deal, just a convenience thing for your subscribers I suppose. But it would be good practice in case you ever decide to do sponsored videos.

Exchanged it for another, bought the 3 year extended warranty through Microsoft, after 1 year the LB started having issues the LT internal pad had shifted so it was sticking to the stop... I sent it to Microsoft for repair and had it back in a week (they repaired my controller, they did not send me a refurbished unit). Haven't had any problems since. I definitely recommend the 3 year warranty through Microsoft, it's only $20 and guarantees you'll get your money's worth out of it. Had all 3, razer wolverine was given to my wife as i did not like it at all, the elite version 2 went back to argos after a week of use as the x y a b buttons werent registering unless u pressed them really hard, currently using the power a fusion pro 2, and i love it. great feel, remove two of the paddles on the back, mapped to B AND X, (crouch and revive for destiny 2), my honest oppinion, the power A is MUCH MUCH MUCH better value for money over the elite, i couldnt justify the price, sure its nice, nice box etc.. but its heavy, and prone to problems, plus the power A is less than HALF its price and does the same. get the power A or better yet, get 2 and you have a spare if you develop an issue.

Get a mat with a logo, the same dimensions as the top camera so you can see where it will be able to see. as not only a way to promote with a specific camera view, but also to let you jusdge the frame and use it effectivly.

They need to just bring back the 360 controller with a updated dpad. These new controller sticks are too loose. You can tighten the elite sticks a little but price is too much

This!! I used to have a really good shot on any fps shooter with the 360 controller because of tight sticks. Ever since I switched to the Xbox one, it is hard to control my aim because the sticks are so loose. I literally went from a great player to an average player over night with the switch. I just can’t aim with extremely loose sticks 🤷🏼‍♂️

I've owned the PowerA fusion pro 2 for over a year, paid $60 on Amazon. I have had not mechanical issues, The only issue is that it is a little heavy for a controller.

I can vouch for the sticks on the elite series 2, they won't come off accidentally unless of course you drop it or throw your controller (which why would you mistreat your premium controller) THE ONLY COMPLAINT I HAVE TOWARDS THE ELITE 2 IS BUTTON UNRESPONSIVENESS

Having a fusion pro, I will say i do not like the triggers and bumpers. I wish they had a couple things.
    1. I wish they were textured a little different so my fingers wouldn't slide.
    2. It would feel better if the bumpers extended just a tad farther out like the default xbox controllers and elite series controllers.
    3. The trigger stop is pretty much useless. I really does not change that much at all.
I mean you get what you pay for. So cheaper controller, cheaper quality for sure. It is still a decent controller for the price(at least the fusion pro is/I don't have a pro 2).
But i will be very excited for when I get an elite series 2.

I just exchanged my Elite 2 today. The controller is really good, but I had a feeling it wasn't that durable, so I bought the extended warranty. Sure enough, the right top back button stop working. It lasted about a year, granted, with everyday use.
If you have a Micro Center near you, their warranty is reasonable. Two years for 20 bucks with the option to buy another warranty with the new item. I rather pay the 20 bucks than another $180 or even $60 for a basic controller. I could use the basic controller that came with the system, but it probably would have worn out after a year as well too.
Funny thing is, I did experience a little drift, but then that went away lol!

elite series 2, with my personal experience, own 2, once had 3, 1st was so bad after a month of having it (brand new from GameStop) i turned it in for my 2nd controller. Which done fine... until RB stopped working, Left Stick Drift and non operational momentarily. My fiance has the 3rd, A button sticks a little.
My next controller will not be a Elite Series... for the expense far too many issues
Controller is honestly a great feel, but ultimately, i want my money's worth. I shouldnt have to be force to buy Warranties. Its as if they knew they were selling an issue

My Elite 2 Controller is 7 months old and i have still no problem with this controller all buttons function very well and my sticks have no stick drift. I hope Microsoft release a Elite 3 very soon because I like the feeling of the series Controller. Take a series Controller combine it with all features from the Elite 2 and my dream Controller is done.
