Video shows how to change or set the screen resolution in Linux. The demo uses Ubuntu Linux, but the xrandr program is available in many different Linux distributions including Debian Linux, Kali Linux and Ubuntu Linux. Having a screen resolution problem is annoying but can be simple to fix. The xrandr program is a Linux Bash Command Line program.
The webpwnized UA-cam channel is dedicated to information security, security testing and ethical hacking. There is an emphasis on web application security but many other topics are covers. Some of these include forensics, network security, security testing tools and security testing processes. The channel provides videos to encourage software developers and system administrators to perform security testing. Also, the channel educates the next generation of security testers and bug bounty hunters who want to respectfully, legally and ethically help system owners that allow security testing.

So Helpful - Thanks so very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks its work
What if I have a resolution maximum that is not listed such as 1980x1080 and I would like to make that my res?
If it is not listed than may be it is simply not supported by some component at some level. In your case it may be the driver that is being used by X server (at the moment when you were querying the modes, there can be other drivers available).
I'm Starting learning Linux and math and other os
