I think JW worked so hard to be back for the start of the season, that he ran out of gas by mid season. You put that with the fact that JW didn’t totally trust his knee yet. So he’s burnt out and had no confidence in his knee. I think this offseason of rest and another year of confidence on that knee. He’ll be back to punishing people again. Coming back from injury takes two years. The first year you aren’t going 100% because you don’t trust your knee repair. That’s my opinion anyway

There are a ton of what ifs, ever since Elway drafted Paxton after SB50.. but i like what's happening now, rebuilding and it seems the culture's changing 😎
Jovante looked like Sammy Winder last season.
The Broncos really feel like they have a lot of B+ grade players but very few stars. Would love to see you guys talk about who might blossom into a star on this team. We need people to step into elite status. Do you see anyone who could be elite?
Honestly though, no matter how JW preformed. Russ still couldn’t see over lineman in the pocket. Can’t throw to the middle or seam. And always, always climbed right out of the pocket (because he can’t see over tall guys) which led to sacks and 3 & outs. We led the league in 3 & outs in the second half of games. No RB could overcome Russ’ limitations. Which is going to drive the Steelers crazy, when Russ is missing open receivers in the middle and rolling out for a sack. I just don’t see a difference with a healthy stable of Backs masking Russ’ inability to run Payton’s offense

My “what if” is…what if he doesn’t get hurt in the Raiders game and the team hired Dan Quinn as the head coach over Hackett? The team would be much further along than it is today.

Maybe I’d take Russell Wilson again and roll with building this team. I think Sean would figure it out and get Russ to get us some hope. It will be more fun to do these what ifs once we see what Nix actually looks like.
