This is ITALIAN. Andre Bocelli is Italian. Most of the most famous operas are in Italian, though there are German operas and other languages as well. Italian is similar at times to Spanish when you here certain words or read some of them.
Exactly. Vidi cor meum is my other favorite opera but it was written by an Irish composer and based on Dante Alighieri's Vita Nova. It was used in the movie Hannibal.
What I find most interesting is each of these countries are unique when it comes to their music. I argue and say the best operas are typically Italian. The best orchestral works are typically German. The most sensitive is French and the most fiery passion is typically Spanish.
Operas are in Italian, French, German, and Russian, and Operettas are in the languages and include English and Spanish, Operettas have the dialog spoken not sung, they sing only the song. Guilbert and Sullivan and Broadway Musicals are Operettas.
Just saw Andrea Bocelli in concert this past Friday, and his voice was just incredible! His voice was strong and vibrant and sounded even better than it did years ago. Have been a fan since the mid 90's when he first became known...a true master vocalist.
@@albarton7189 - Con Te Partirò is Time to say Goodbye in Italian. Same thing. I have heard Andrea sing this in concert, solo and to me, it sounds the best that way. He made it a hit, after all, with no accompaniment.
Andrea. What a voice. I remember him as a young man. One of the best memories I have of him was when he sang "Nessun Dorma" in front of the packed stadium beside his friend, fellow Italian, and Leicester City coach, Claudio Ranieri when Leicester won the Premiership.
He’s a very famous Italian tenor. Absolutely stunning voice. Please do his duet with Ed Sheeran “Perfect”Symphony. So beautiful. “The Prayer” with Celine Dion is also incredible.
Yes, yes, yes!!! Don’t miss him with Ed Sheeran and Celine Dion. You can appreciate his voice in more contemporary pieces as well. Hearing Ed Sheeran sing in Italian is awesome. The video that goes with “Perfect’” is fun to watch. Ed travels to Italy to cut this version with Bocelli. You get to see his family and it is clear that Sheeran is blown away by this man’s talent. Bocelli is such a gifted individual. Glad you discovered him!
I first heard this song several years ago in Las Vegas, when the Bellagio hotel had it synched to their outdoor fountain show. It was the Sarah Brightman duet version. Come Christmas this year, you need to react to Bocelli's version of "What Child Is This", a duet with - wait for it....Mary J. Blige! Goosebumps & tears guaranteed!
grazie ragazzi per il coraggio..😄 ..and, it's in Italian anyway😅 ..I'm from Croatia, I live near Italy, so it's normal for us to speak Italian..anyway thank you for 'canzona'🤌👌
"People's reactions to opera the first time they see it is very dramatic; they either love it or they hate it. If they love it, they will always love it. If they don't, they may learn to appreciate it, but it will never become part of their soul." ~ Edward from Pretty Woman
I got to hear Andrea Bocelli perform live as an early teenager. I didn’t appreciate it at the time. What kid likes operatic Arias? But, I have the memories as an Adult.
First, I wanted to thank both of you for sharing Elvis with the new generation. I was lucky enough to have seen Elvis eight times live in concert. I fell in love with him when I was five years old and I’ll be turning 66 years old this year years ago, there was no charge cards so you had to sleep in the street and sleeping bags for days waiting online to get a ticket to see Elvis Presley. Needless to say I would’ve stood in line sleeping in the street for a lifetime Just for that one moment when he walked out on stage biblically, it was like the parting of the Red Sea. He is my American hero. I’ve seen him and fell in love with him at five years old and that love has never changed through the eyes of that five year old child. God bless both of you and thank you so much for what you do.
💕 Donna Summer sang a Beautiful version of 'I Will Go With You' in 1999. You should watch her video.🎶 The Queen of Disco passed away 11yrs ago on May 17th. She is greatly missed. 😔

There's a video of him and Sarah Brightman doing this together and it's glorious. She does seem to get very handsy with him. His name is pronounced in Italian Bo-chelli. Like chair. To get the K sound innitalian it would have a CH.
He has the best voice. I have a cd of his, can't understand half the songs, but I could listen to them all day. Ed Sheeran had him sing his song Perfect with him. It is so pretty it'll bring you to tears. I believe it's Italian, but I"m not sure
He does have some of his songs out in Spanish which he I grew up on, being Hispanic. Watch his performance w Sarah Brightman for sure! Oh and before you do that, yes, he is blind. And it’s pronounced Awn-drey-uh like the female name here. In Italy that name is primarily masculine.
The reason why Andrea Bocelli can be intimidating to anyone who sings with him, is because he can also hold those big long notes ...and that is what David Foster said of the man. He is legendary. If you could checkout or react to La Voce Del Silenzio - Live From Teatro Del Silenzio, Italy / 2007 ... it's amazing. Elisa is also quiet amazing in this duet.
If you want to hear a truly moving song you guys simply must check out Andrea Bocelli & Mateo Bocelli (son) Fall On Me. There’s a version that is partly Italian and an English version. I don’t speak Italian but that was the first version I heard and I swear I knew what Andrea was saying. It made me feel very emotional. Then I heard the English version and I was blown away by how accurate the words were in line with what I had thought he was saying. You weren’t really that far off by saying Spanish because I’ve noticed that many Spanish and Italian words are very similar.
I T A L I A N !! Andrea sings a duet with his son Matteo called FALL ON ME. beautiful song and beautiful video. give it a watch. won't be sorry. you guys are great.
It’s Italian…. And the music video/videos with the Orchestra is absolutely wonderful. There are a couple HOWEVER a must with SARAH BRIGHTON and ANDRE… 🤩🤩🤩
I love a ton of world music. Of course I don't have a freaking clue what's being said but that's ok. I enjoy the overall music. A good one by him you should check out is "Sogno". A good Chinese song is "Tian Mi Mi" by Teresa Teng". And try "Intern A Trent'Anni" by Mimmo Locasciulli.(Italian), and for some Spanish/Mexican, "Golpes en el Corazon" by El Ejemplo. You could go down a serious rabbit hole with world music.
Da Italiano orgogliosissimo di un grande della musica come Pavarotti. E grande ammiratore di un altro cantante che sta nascendo come (Angelina Jordan) Ciao Asia and BJ vi seguo sempre
BJ made a comment about being to visualize the music being played... for myself, after all the live music I've experienced, I can no longer turn that off. Got a concert going on in my head any time I hear music. 😊 Andrea Bocelli's son and granddaughter sing with him now. He also has some beautiful crossover duets with Ed Sheeran, Ellie Goulding, Allison Krauss, and Celine Dion.
Sarah Brightman. That's the version I requested, but they couldn't do it during the stream bc it's a live version. The one where she is in the white dress is amazing.
Years later, German boxing legend Henry Maske had his last fight of his career. For this they took the Blind Andrea Bocelli and the Wonderful Sarah Brightman together, and recorded the title in English for his last fight. It immediately became number one in Germany and many other countries. To See in the Live Video.
Please explore more opera. There's a beautiful song called 'Pianissimo' that Andrea Bocelli does with Cecilia Bartoli, a wonderful Italian mezzo-soprano opera singer. You could also check her out singing the aria 'Sposa Son Disprezzata' it's exceptional!
“Ma signore, che cosa mi domanda ?!! Sono veramente innamorato di questa bellissima lingua, la più bella del mondo. Ho soltanto bisogno d’aprire la mia bocca e involontariamente diventa il fonte di tutta l’armonia di quest’idioma celeste. Shame you didn't choose the semi-English version (Time To Say Goodbye) with Sarah Brightman, but an evergreen pur sang nonetheless imo. PS: hoping to see you two react to late legend Lucio Dalla's 'Caruso', performed by another Italian legend who is no longer with us; Luciano Pavarotti and preferably his live performance in Paris in front of the Eifeltower. Enjoy first, thank me later 😉

Yeah , I’ve heard both of them perform it separately but as a duo it really is a masterpiece.
His voice has always blown my mind. what a talent he is. Blind but he has accomplished so much
