Happened to get the 158 for my birthday back in April. Just a real top-tier watch from Casio, not my daily per say (An F91, version is mine), but one I take pride in wearing, on special days, for those great memories. Nice to see how this one is assembled. I've got numrous of casios all over 10 years now, but this one has always stood out. I even have a Casio with a battery thats over 15 years now, all original. Always nice, to see how a battery change is done, despite not needing one anytime soon, just to know incase.
Is there a warning before the battery runs out? I don't know how old mine is, and thus not how long the battery will last for. (and I'm scared I'll miss my alarm some day)
You probably removed that white nylon isolation cover from the battery cover. Put a piece of nylon back to it leaving only the top and the bottom extenders touching the back cover. Insulating tape, or cellophane, or maybe something with less glue, something nylon or a piece from vinyl gloves it will work fine.
