I’m so sorry this happened to you. I know how it feels to not be supported by some family members. All though you kinda have to understand from your parents perspective. They love you and just want they best from you. The internet can be scary and unsafe. There are tons of bad people. They probably just wanted you to let them know before you do anything on the internet without their permission. Even though sometimes it sounds unlikely, many people get inappropriate ads, threatening haters, and even sometimes kidnappers. So bringing me to my point, I can understand how you feel like you have to hide things from your parents because of how they would react to it. But I also understand how the parents probably just want you to be safe. Now obviously I don’t know your personal life, but if you don’t know the real reason why they want you to ask 1st, I just hope you trust them. I’ve just definitely learned my lesson years back. This is basically my mother but I only told my father and he's the one that respected me the most of my channel, He never told my mother. I don't tell my sister cause I feel like she will tell my mother.
(Read the bold if you just want the general idea) The 3rd of December is kinda sad and a little bit scary. It was a typical Thursday of 2020 and it was the last period of the day. I can remember when we we’re sharing our weird stories when we heard a bang that sounded like a bomb was going off not to far away from where the campus was. Around 10 minutes later, my class was messing around when we heard an announcement. It was so loud in the classroom from people talking that I could barely hear the principal talking about what had happened but I was able to make out a couple of words. I told the class that he said something about evacuating to the field. I thought that it was just a typical Fire Drill since non of the fire alarms were going off, but once I got outside, I saw black smoke coming out from behind the trees from the left side of the campus. Most people starting laughing because they thought it was a joke and y’know, it’s middle school. The teachers eventually brought us to a different area on the right side of the school on the opposite side of the fire. We waiting so for around 20 minutes when we were told that the school day was going to be cut 45 minutes short due to the gas explosion on someone’s house. I don’t really know what happened next after I left because I was once of the first to leave the school, but I was told that they cut the power off a little bit later. This explosion became the talk of the school for about a week but eventually people did get bored of it. I did some research many days after the explosion and found out it was from a house that appears to have had a gas leak that caused the explosion. 2 we’re caught in it and we’re seriously injured as well as one firefighter who suffered, mild injuries. On January 14th 2021, 1 month and 11 days after the explosion. The son of the 3 who we’re caught in the explosion died. I still find this odd, since it happened to the point where we had to do an evacuation for the rest of the day. *Anyways, long story short there was a gas explosion outside my school during the school day which someone had died. It’s sad, I know and I will never forget that day :(*
To be fair, if I was a parent and my kid was putting stuff for the public on the internet without asking me, I would be a little scared too! I mean, it isn't that dangerous, and may not seem like a very big deal, but checking with your parents first, rather than going behind their backs is always a good idea. I'm sure they would appreciate it, at least! :)
It is a good idea! I like to have my parents keep a general eye on what I watch and do online, but I still have some privacy while they maintain a level of trust with me!

Fr I used to have a channel with 500+ subs and I was well on my way to growing a lot more but my lil sis found it and told my mom, I got in trouble and deleted all my vids 🤦♀️
I remember when my mother found out about mine- she was gonna make me delete my channel but my dad said my videos were very unique and so they let me keep it.
My mom knows i have a yt, luckily she doesn't care- nor check it She says "as long as you do good in school and keep up at your job- you can continue to post on yt" And that's how it's been since 2017 (when my first channel was made)
I can understand this quite well (my parents don't know yet but the thought of them finding out frightens me), i often hestitate when making videos for this purpose alone. Even though there's nothing wrong or harmfull in the videos you make your parents still don't allow it and it sucks. Hope your situation gets better and your parents understand :)

I’m so sorry this happened to you. I know how it feels to not be supported by some family members.
All though you kinda have to understand from your parents perspective.
They love you and just want they best from you. The internet can be scary and unsafe. There are tons of bad people.
They probably just wanted you to let them know before you do anything on the internet without their permission.
Even though sometimes it sounds unlikely, many people get inappropriate ads, threatening haters, and even sometimes kidnappers.
So bringing me to my point, I can understand how you feel like you have to hide things from your parents because of how they would react to it.
But I also understand how the parents probably just want you to be safe.
Now obviously I don’t know your personal life, but if you don’t know the real reason why they want you to ask 1st, I just hope you trust them.
I’ve just definitely learned my lesson years back.

(Read the bold if you just want the general idea) The 3rd of December is kinda sad and a little bit scary. It was a typical Thursday of 2020 and it was the last period of the day. I can remember when we we’re sharing our weird stories when we heard a bang that sounded like a bomb was going off not to far away from where the campus was. Around 10 minutes later, my class was messing around when we heard an announcement. It was so loud in the classroom from people talking that I could barely hear the principal talking about what had happened but I was able to make out a couple of words. I told the class that he said something about evacuating to the field. I thought that it was just a typical Fire Drill since non of the fire alarms were going off, but once I got outside, I saw black smoke coming out from behind the trees from the left side of the campus. Most people starting laughing because they thought it was a joke and y’know, it’s middle school. The teachers eventually brought us to a different area on the right side of the school on the opposite side of the fire. We waiting so for around 20 minutes when we were told that the school day was going to be cut 45 minutes short due to the gas explosion on someone’s house. I don’t really know what happened next after I left because I was once of the first to leave the school, but I was told that they cut the power off a little bit later. This explosion became the talk of the school for about a week but eventually people did get bored of it. I did some research many days after the explosion and found out it was from a house that appears to have had a gas leak that caused the explosion. 2 we’re caught in it and we’re seriously injured as well as one firefighter who suffered, mild injuries. On January 14th 2021, 1 month and 11 days after the explosion. The son of the 3 who we’re caught in the explosion died. I still find this odd, since it happened to the point where we had to do an evacuation for the rest of the day. *Anyways, long story short there was a gas explosion outside my school during the school day which someone had died. It’s sad, I know and I will never forget that day :(*
