Anyone besides me find it odd that the scene from 6:30 - 6:50 that Lucas didn't change the stars to hyperspace for the Special Editions? They're supposed to be in hyperspace on their way to Yavin, as stated by Vader just before this scene. Lucas has edited and added so much other stuff to like every other scene, it's weird that he didn't change that one.
Given how much the Death Star was foreshadowed throughout the Empire years, I like to think that Obi-Wan's line was the sudden, horrifying, realization of all the little tidbits, all the rumors, they were all true. This was what the Empire was creating, and he had to get Leia and R2 out of there, no matter what.
@Samuel-li9nk And now because of Solo, its cameo in RotS is a continuity era because it's in its Original Trilogy appearance instead of being white and blue.
Just finished building the UCS Lego Millennium Falcon. Absolutely love this ship...hate that fucking Rey gets it in those shitty excuses for films though.
I wish the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run ride of the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge area at Disneyland in Anahiem, California and Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida had also been given the same cockpit design.
Interesting....they never could get the hand movements the same across the movies. Apparently hyperdrive is either push the levers forward, or pull them back, or cycle them forward-back. That's some old-school sci-fi right there..."Details?? Continuity?? Who needs those???"
Thank you for watching, and your support. Some alterations where introduced in SOLO to enhanced the views of the cockpit, since in the movie it is so dark. If you can share it, it would be awesome!
I just noticed something...those white light strips inside the cockpit line up with each other is SOLO, but in NEW HOPE they dont and also EMPIRE they do! Ha, weird, like the cockpit has been twisted?
The cockpit was built for a New Hope following the production blueprints but when George made the visual inspection he wanted the cockpit smaller. The prop department move the background lower and twisted it to the left side to compensate for the difference in radius. For Empire the built a new cockpit and added extra panels to the roof to make it deeper than the cockpit on A New Hope.
Internal power and back up thrusters, would have to be powered by a fusion reactor, the only problem with a fully functional fusion reactor is the cooling in the magnetic field mechanism machine blocking the plasma, from escaping, if those go back the ship will explode with hundreds of tuns of tnt.
