I bought Legion because its one of the few gaming laptop that still has a numpad. Why do I prefer numpad? Because as an architect I work with AutoCad, Sketchup, etc... I needed to put numbers as fast as possible, so yeah for me numpad is a must. Well that's just me...

@ 10:48, didnt even knew that a numpad is an issue. I've always hated laptops without numpads as its quite hard to do fast numbers heavy inputs without it. Plus my name an an enye / ñ, hence I couldn't type it on a regular keyboard without a numpad as I needed to type Alt+164 the 164 digits being needed to be on the numpad as the numbers below F keys just doesnt work with that, I always had to go to google to copy paste an enye just to type my name on my work laptop that doesn't have a numpad.

I really love your video man nice work. I don't know if you ever reviewed the legion 7i ? It's on sale here on 2k bucks with rtx 4070. I'm considering buying it because portability and battery over the 7pro
I did review the Pro 7i but not the Slim 7i. I actually would recommend the Pro 7i over anything especially when it's around $2k. It's one of the best gaming laptops around for sure.
I know that must be a financial choice but I think maybe you should review the legion 7i and really figure out if it worth all the hype since you have reviewed all the behemoth (7ipro / legion 9). It would be interesting to have your input after having so much power 😊
If I buy GeForce Now Ultimate for 20 years, I still would not pay as much as for this laptop, which will be literally ancient at that time, while GeForce Now will offer up to date GPU whatever it may be in 20 years. So this is actually very bad purchase from the financial standpoint, only for modders, Star Citizen players and emulator lovers. But for that money? I’d rather not mod or play that infinitely under development space sim demo. And I love to play without feeling like I’m sitting right next to the Airbus engine on runway 😂
i have this laptop as my work machine lol, needed something portable to lug around which holds my LLM models and training workloads nicely, sadly my company don't allow gaming :(
@@Ev_Alexander_Filmseh, my Pro 7i’s fans were completely inaudible when gaming in Quiet mode, and it still delivers great performance even in demanding titles. I had the 4080 model. Truly the quietest gaming laptop I’ve ever used

Cool to see more laptops reviews on your channel! What is your favorite laptop this year so far? Do you plan to review the Blade 16 OLED, too? I had X16 R2, Asus G16, Blade 16 2024 OLED, Legion 9... and finally went for the Blade 16. I had too many latency and stuttering issues with the Legion 9. The Blade is simply better in almost every category, I just would have liked to see a less reflective screen while maintaining its gloss, similar to the G16's implementation. X16 R2 was nice, but my units were faulty... after the second faulty unit, I didn't want it anymore. G16 was probably the best portable laptop for me this year, I just think the 4090 could have got 20-25W more. I had to return it because the touchpad was rattling and it was bloody hot. I'll buy it again with AMD and maybe wait for the next iteration of the NVIDIA GPU.
Thank you! Hoping to publish more laptop reviews in Q3/Q4, so stay tuned! I'm trying my best to get a review sample from Razer but we'll see where that goes, probably will wait to see what update that receives when new Intel/AMD chips are available.
@@HeyMarkL Mark you never into with g14 ? and what makes you decided to go with legion 9i? Is this supported by lenovo or you got this for your own personal use + day to day ?

The num pad is why I'm buying this laptop.
Can you shut all those RGB off? I wanna use this in a work environment without looking like a child.
Yep! You can definitely do that. It automatically turns off when you put the laptop into "Silent Mode" fn + Q. It's stealthy that way.
I switch mine to single blue color. Don't really like rainbow.
The rainbow effect makes me want to puke. This laptop looks cooler with just a single color.
