  • Bruce and Mark (BAM!) walk through the beautiful & tranquil grounds of Golders Green Crematorium in Golders Green, in the London Borough of Barnet in England. Thousands of people have their ashes dispersed in the gardens including many famous names - Ronnie Biggs (Great Train Robber) - Marc Bolan (Musician) - Enid Blyton (Author) - Ed Devereax (Park Ranger / Father in the Australian Skippy series) - Sigmund & Martha Freud (Psychoanalysts) - Sid James (Actor) - Yootha Joyce (Actress) - Keith Moon (Drummer from The Who) - Anna Pavlova (Russian Ballerina) - Peter Sellers (Actor) - Bram Stoker (Writer) & Dame Barbara Windsor (Actress). The crematorium offers services in the Bedford Chapel and the grounds boast being some 12 acres in size (4.9 hectares). More than 323,500 cremations have taken place at Golders Green.
There are thousands of plaques on the many walls, with ashes being dispersed in a number of lawns or gardens beds, but I would assume there are many early funerals and cremations where a plaque could not be afforded.
This place would have to be amongst one of the most tranquil we have encountered.

Was that a dope plant I saw amongst the rhododendrons? Probably helping Keith Moon with his peaceful and spiritual journey? A lovely and informative video thanks B And M.
