Even if I turn off the auxiliary indication of distance box, it still shows up on my screen. That ever happen to you? Also the double click on lrf button doesn’t make it go away. I’d prefer not to have the box show up at all.
@rm10002 If you go into the main menu and look at Device information, see what firmware you are on .(4th line FWx.x.xxx) make sure you are on 3.3.100 or 3.3.101 if it's Thermion.
@@foxoptic5887 Let me back up and thank you for all the content you do. When I saw your latest video with ray diagrams, I knew I found someone knowledgeable on thermal optics. Thank you for the suggestion about checking the firmware update…but that doesn’t seem to be the issue in my case. My Thermion 2 LRF XL50 and new XL 60 both do the same thing and show the aux distance box even when I toggle it off…and they’re on the latest firmware it offers to me 3.3.100. My older XP50 pro is on 3.1.001 and it doesn’t give me the aux distance box…so I haven’t done the firmware update on it because I’m worried it will start doing the same thing. Any other suggestion you have would be welcomed. Thanks again!
The auxiliary distance indication box is turned off under the Ballistics section of the main menu. It's not a simple on/off toggle. (make sure your not under the rangefinder section turning on or off THD or the Angular readout of the LRF itself) Again, under Ballistics 2nd line item Auxiliary indication of distance short press to open. You have 3 choices Off, bound to reticle mark, bound to SPOA mark. (Default is bound to reticle) roll the triangle to off and then be sure to press the encoder button a short press afterwards to confirm off as the selection.
