- Today we are taking a look at the Vevor Dual Burner Propane Forge. It features a two burner assembly with independent valves to handle a variety of blacksmithing projects. Follow along as I assemble and test this forge out for the first time. There are some key steps when getting a forge ready for use, none of them are too difficult. The Vevor propane forge is a great alternative to coal and charcoal forges for beginner and advanced blacksmiths alike.

So good to see - and hear - you!!
Technical difficulties 😂 I've been having some issues with my Mic having a hissing sound, so I have to export the audio out and clean it up in another program, then import it back in. Then I forgot to change some settings back for the final video 😥
Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend.
I wouldn’t say it’s a waste of charcoal or coal when heating the middle.
Watch Valhalla’s “why your coal forge sucks” and you will get a better understanding of what’s going on and not wasting… if you want to not waste your pile of fuel that is.
Thanks for the review though all and all a good review man. Good job.
I’ll check it out and see if I can get things working a little better. Thanks!
Love Valhallas content
Can you connect one of those brass gas valve directly to gas hose, instead of this steel two hole pipe?
Thanks for the video. I just purchased the stainless dual burner model. The manual says the Kaowool is "Rigidized"...how much more rigid did yours get after applying rigidizer? Mine is fairly firm...closer to a q-tip than a cotton ball. Thanks again.
That is pretty accurate I would say. It firmed up, but still would deform with mild finger pressure.
@@GarageHobbyist Thanks!
Can you use the other brick to block off the back?
You can. I have some extras I use to retain heat. You can also use just one burner with the rear blocked for small items to save fuel.
Bought this in the UK and it doesnt come with the cement or stabilizer which seems unsafe to me, thankfully i watched a few youtube videos and knew not to use without the cement.
That is strange. Mine came with the cement, which is a must. Honestly, the stabilizer is really only helpful when dealing with the bare insulation, and getting a firm base for the cement to cure on. Once the cement has cured it is pretty difficult for the fibers to get airborne. A respirator will keep the fibers out of your lungs while working with it.
"Not that expensive" - Your link says it's £24. That's expensive IMO. That's over a quarter of the whole budget I planned on. The single burner unit was only £62 on Sunday. It's now jumped up by £10 over night and also you get no cement.
Yeah that is expensive I hope you figured everything out though!
@@LolWhoCares3 I ended up just getting MAPP gas torch. No room for a forge really anyway
Great, Thanks a lot. Another hobby that interests me I didn't know I'd be so into... lol... Is there anything Vevor doesn't make/sell?
They have a ton of stuff, don't they?! They had almost all of the hydraulics needed for the tractor I had started planning at really great prices. I've seen some people use their wheels for minibike/trike as well🤔
BUYER BEWARE: THEY ARE NOW SELLING THESE WITHOUT THE REFACTORY CEMENT! And the prices have jumped up. No ridgidizer either. I asked them for the contents before buying and I'm glad I did.
I just bought one and it did include the cement but not rigitizer
@@johnwillittsjr5823 It strikes me that this company doesn't know what it's doing. When you talk to them it's clear that they give generic sales responses and don't answer your questions when you point out that their pictures show different things between them, because they put a different model in there. Typical Chinese communication... "Yes yes yes" and it turns up and it's not what you wanted. I ended up staying away in the end and just got a MAPP torch which is better for my needs anyway.
Just got mine and it came with the refractory cement. This is probably a varies by country thing, I know some refractories are restricted in the EU that aren't in the US.
I just bought the stainless dual burner model for $119 delivered...and it did come with cement! March 2024. The manual says the Kaowool is "Rigidized".
@@Master...deBater I'm starting to get the impression that the sales people have no idea what is in their own product, as it's not the first time I heard this. Unless they walked back the decision to omit it because they were loosing customers.
Did the kit include the refractory cement? I contacted Vevor and they said they don’t include it when purchasing a forge.
Mine did. It may have changed since
@@GarageHobbyist thank you 💪🏻
based on what everyones saying it seems the sement being shipped depends on where its being sent to due to varying shipping laws.
My dual burner stainless model did...bought March 2024 for $119 delivered! The manual says the Kaowool is "Rigidized".
Does it get hot enough to forge weld
I haven’t tried yet, but it should with both burners on.
Yes, it does! @@GarageHobbyist
Good to know, I still haven't tried it. Life got busy@@24934637
How is this forge working out for you?
Pretty good! I haven’t used it as much as I would have liked, but it will be in some videos coming up!
