I have a gray area. What if the doctor only documents the manifestation code Like F02.80 and does not document the etiology. Like Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s. So we only have F02.80, can that be coded alone?
Hi! Do you mean the physician is just documenting the code number "F02.80" alone instead of writing out the actual diagnosis in words? Coders are not allowed to code from physician selected diagnosis codes. The physician has to actually write out the diagnosis.
2024 ICD-10 made changes to G20. Now it is expanded. Great news for specificity in tracking our G20 pts with Dyskensia and the types.
