It's a pity this game is no longer on Steam, what an experience this has been with the storytelling and awesome voiceovers, coupled with authentic gameplay and ambience.

I didn’t quite get what happened to the family, did mother leave them? Is daughter doing better with her health or was there a completely tragic ending…. I feel like there is some open ending but I may be not grasping.
So due to their financial difficulties, the mother returned to be a movie star, leaving the daughter with the protagonist. the protagonist is superstitious and believes in a certain deity, donating tons of money to it. he was convinced that his daughter is sick and can only be cured by this deity. following the instructions by the mediums of the deity, he might have inadvertently resulted in the death of his daughter. It is likely his daughter has anxiety and some mental health issues, and does not have some incurable or fatal illness.

if i dont recall wrongly, i read somewhere they have some political-sensitive posters used in the game, which has since been removed..

I've watched barely 40 minutes and I feel exhausted. Too much reading needless notes such as description of "birthday grab ceremony" or "Tale of Cigu Guanyin: Spirit Serpent". This is NOT a horror game. Just another tale. As I said earlier. More reading, less action. So annoying...
