    Whatever gives her better control over her work & regulating her community. I know streamers complain a lot about the lack of support tools on YT. Mod tools are super super important (baning bad chatters is good for everyone). I switched to watching twitch streams and yeah ads are annoying, but i pretty much just pay for my favorite streamer and occasionally catch gift subs. Its easier to watch people your not subbed to not-live bc then you dont miss anything when ads play and you can skip/rewind. What i really like on twitch tho is hoping POV to see the same events from a different streamer (i just run back to my streamer when ads get too much)

      yt mod tools are waaay better than twitch. I moved away from twitch bc limited options and don't want to give full control to a mod who can change anything including payment address. Yt can change settings on ai mod, only verified ppl, 1 account per phone, shadow ban, ban a country, save filters etc etc. Also chanters are based off streamer I can name many streamers who are very positive on both platforms bc streamer, mods, etc gets rid of it fast unless ya. Ppl are now making more money multi streaming now way more in fact. It's about $$$$ not community nor mod tools etc. Ask your parents what's twitch? then ask yt. More and more know yt and more streamers are now on yt live etc with way more viewers bc yt is worldwide. Look at the asia streamers on Yt hahaha. Soo many have crazy amount of views.

    i just hate how twitch doesn't let us control when ads happen anymore. like every 30 minutes I get a little notification that says an ad is about to happen. I'm just like I can't stop this. either subscribe or just suffer through the ads. i can snooze it but it doesn't stop it after 3 times and im just like 😓

    The culture is dumb. There is no difference except the quality is better on UA-cam, and you can pause and rewind a live stream. You can't do that on Twitch. If you're a lurker only, UA-cam is the better choice. Plus, UA-cam has fewer ads

    • @Athasin
      @Athasin 21 день тому +2

      There is more differences than that when you look at it from a Streamer side. Like the whole knocking and collab stream features. Too many people are only looking at it from viewer side when they think about the differences but she's not a viewer. She's a Streamer and streaming is just easier on Twitch because of the differences, primarily the streaming tools each platform offers.

    I'm canceling my subscriptions on twitch and just going to get turbo so I don't get ads. The only issue is that I don't get to be part of sub chat only mode or get emotes BUT it's not a big problem for me since I avoid chatting anyway because I get triggered by the flamers.
    A solution for Rae is to do what leslie does. She can multistream and ignore YT chat. Leslie has her music streaming on a different audio channel so YT stream and vods don't get demonetized they just won't be able to hear the music. Multistream, she can keep her YT viewers and still have her .99 cent subs going.

    • @88CDawg
      @88CDawg 23 дні тому +3

      I am actually surprised that the streamers that moved back to Twitch are against the idea of multi-streaming. Like why not? It doesn't seem like such a bad idea. And it doesn't seem like it would be a hassle to set up because Leslie is doing it.

    • @VROCSone
      @VROCSone 23 дні тому

      @88CDawg agreed. In Ray's case she didn't want to split her community up and she didn't want to have to read both twitch and YT's chats and it does kind of alienate YT viewers/chatters

    • @88CDawg
      @88CDawg 23 дні тому +6

      @@VROCSone But that is a crazy thing to say because it's not really splitting her community up when they can choose where to watch her. The chatters can choose Twitch and the people who don't care at all about chatting can choose UA-cam. You also don't have to have both chats up. Leslie only has Twitch's chat open and closes UA-cam's
      I am really having a hard time seeing a disadvantage to multi-streaming.

    • @VROCSone
      @VROCSone 23 дні тому +1

      @88CDawg i agree with you. I'm all for it. It's just that rae doesn't have it in her to juggle two chats, but she wants to appease everyone by including them in chat. You're right the people who don't care to chat will/can choose YT but there's people who out right just don't want to use twitch for all sorts of reasons but I feel like those people are far fewer than they seem. They're just louder than most of us. It's a one guy situation, and rae just wants to appease everyone.

    • @Jeescuh
      @Jeescuh 23 дні тому +2

      @@88CDawgI totally agree! Ludwig’s logic against this was that bc twitch is organized by most viewers in a category, it’s more advantageous for the streamer to keep everyone in one spot on twitch to stay at the top of that category. I can understand that perspective for sure, but I also think that the amount of people who would make the switch from UA-cam to twitch isn’t enough to keep your numbers That high on twitch, but obv idk the stats or percentages and am biased towards YT lol

    Twitch is killing their own platform with these absurd ad reels. Twitch has never been profitable overall, but they fell into the classic company greed where they act like they need to do this while filling up the fat paychecks of the higher ups. A lot of the people that helped build twitch up are probably gone now as well. I feel like UA-cam could literally end twitch right now by copying the few good things that set them apart (emotes, discoverability, etc.) but they aren't interested it seems.

    • @stormydesert

      Crazy how UA-cam can copy TikTok with shorts, but won’t copy some features of Twitch to retain popular streamers. They could absolutely body Twitch if they prioritized it.

    I loved the community on UA-cam for her, i loved she truly seemed to read like almost all comments. On twitch it wont be even close to that and 10 times more toxic with chat hoppers. Its great she has another source of income again but as a vod watcher i loved youtube and i dont use twitch :/

    • @aerodin.
      @aerodin. 22 дні тому +3

      The one benefit Twitch has over UA-cam are mod tools, yes chat hoppers are annoying but with enough mods, you can ban em all. An example of being able to supervise massive fast-moving chats is QTCinderella's Streamer Awards - she hired more mods to take care of the influx of toxicity in her chat, I believe Rae will probably do the same. UA-cam's live video having the ability to rewind/forward streams make it better than Twitch (along with not having the intrusive ads that Twitch has). So long as her team uploads her Twitch vods to UA-cam, then her streams will be somewhat accessible to her UA-cam only viewers.

    • @zm6rnachrnau
      @zm6rnachrnau 22 дні тому +5

      I feel like yall have never watched a twitch stream in your life if that's your take. Twitch has better and superior mod tools for streamers compared to YT's archaic mod system. In YT, toxic messages will still appear even if the mods deleted it already bc of the chat delay. This has been talked about publicly by Rae's and Sykkuno's mods who has complained that YT chat is just straight up a s s.
      In Twitch, you can community perma ban chatters. If all the Roomies streamers decide to do it, they can ban one chatter to all of their channels if that chatter is toxic to other streamers who's part of the Roomies. There's even a ban that you can straight up prevent the viewer acct from watching the stream and you can't chat too.
      So for yall to say twitch is full of toxic chat hoppers.... yall are outing yourselves to have never watched twitch recently.🙄

    I dislike Twitch, as a viewer, UA-cam is superior. Will I follow Rae to to Twitch if she goes and stays? I honestly don’t know. I’ve been not only subscribed, but a channel member for at least 4 years. My 4 years badge is about to be meaningless, and that sucks. 😅 I do understand that Rae has spent time considering these things. She had a lot more information than I do and she’s making an educated decision based on her experiences and knowledge of what’s to come. I can’t fault her for feeling the way she does. When they signed her on she was like a flagship streamer, they asked her for her input and said they’d use it to shape the platform, but they largely ignored her. They put “streaming” on the back burner and applied few of any of her suggestions. She has a right to feel jaded.
