Y’all made a believer out of an atheist in me. Growing up religion was never forced on me, and when I finally became interested in it I had some bad first experiences. It wasn’t until y’all started talking about the idea of being gods vessel, empowering the god inside of you, that really helped it click for me. That, paired with a lot of the books y’all recommend has really changed my perspective on god and life in general. Forever grateful and forever a fan. Aten.

I got VHS of me dancing round a pool with two black women dancing with me with Licensed to Ill Beastie Boys rocking the tape deck on a stereo. Ive been a drummer my whole life. I once was wanted in an all black band but these cats werent in the pocket enough or original enough for me. talk about disappointed cause i expected, you know what i wanted, groove and expression, i wanted to do shows that tackle race and class issues. they looked at me like i was out there. these dudes made it in my list of shit i like. Wow, when you actually see someone that is for real motivated and inspired by God, it’s really a sight to behold. I’m a believer. But I felt something once that was so powerful and so awesome, that sometimes I kinda feel bad like I’m chasing that feeling again. It seems like God only speaks to us a few times, here and there, and it’s the in between parts where we have to have faith. But it sure seems like it would be nice if it weren’t so rare. That connection to God. The thing is…. It’s easy for people to be overwhelmed by it, and actually kinda go crazy. Or at least, appear to most others around them to be crazy. It’s hard to tap into and control that energy and download of information and emotion. But it was about half way through this video where I realized these guys are feeling that. I’m excited for them. Hold on as long as you can and have faith.
