    Nice review Jake, and what a lovely little rifle! I know Chris is very happy with his, and they really do appear to have gained a deservedly growing following. It's nice when something just works straight out of the box (a rareity these days) Very much looking forward to the improvements that you'll be applying. Honestly, if the manufacturers of the various rifles you've fettled over the years arent watching your channel, they should be, and asking themselves 'Why can't we do that...' ;-)

      Very impressive little rifle to be honest, not much around its price point that competes, I would have one of these over the maverick or dreamtac any day, and I like FX rifles. Thanks for watching.

    I am interested in this rifle because I have a short LOP (12 inches) and looks like this would fit me and it’s adjustable. Look forward to seeing the upgrades you’ll be doing. Think I better start saving up for this Katran C compact.

    I watch all your stuff but excuse me for not always commenting- your technical knowledge is just the best but you don’t need people blowing smoke every day I’m sure.
    I’m hoping to buy the .22 version even though the transfer port sleeve isn’t available yet.
    I expect it will be more air efficient than the .177 but I can’t find any reference to the actual shot count of .22 @ sub 12. Do you have any idea?
    I like the C as the fore end is a better place for a bipod. I know you can throw £150 at the CB and fit a rail but with the sleeve I think the C is the better end product.
    Cheers
    Andrew 💨

    • @sub12airgunners
      @sub12airgunners  Рік тому

      Thanks much appreciated, not sure on .22 shot count, you could be best off contacting Chris at CDR guns, I am pretty sure that the sleeve is now available from the factory, as it makes such a difference, I much prefer the look of the C over the bottle but its all personal preference. Thanks for watching

    Question for you. Why is it not advisable to shoot below the regulator pressure on an FX impact or any other quality pcp. Just curious as to what damage may be caused . Thanks 👍

    • @sub12airgunners
      @sub12airgunners  2 роки тому

      Most regs wont get damaged by under pressure, but when you shoot the rifle below the reg pressure at a point there will not be enough closing force on the back of the reg, so after a while the reg will let go and dump the air from the bottle. Thanks for watching.

    Hi there sorry not really same subject as vid, is a smooth twist x barrel far much better than a regular smooth twist barrel in your opinion?
    Regards phil pinkney

    • @sub12airgunners
      @sub12airgunners  2 роки тому

      The smooth twist barrels were the older version of the liner system, they can be good. The STX is the liner system, both can be good or bad, there is not really a better system, but if I had a choice I would have the newer STX liners. Thanks for watching.
