Lui-nee has such protective big sister energy even behind the scenes.
Youre looking too much on the surface, Lui has hella little sister energy but that little sister is only like 2 years younger
very cute. iroha trying to protect lui-nee and telling her to value herself more and other wholesome stuff like that.
I came into this video expecting bad things, but it's wholesome lol
Lui-nee : what kind of adult chooses not to protect their kids?
Well, Lui is HoloX’s Executive Officer after all but I understand Iroha’s concern that Lui could get herself in trouble for constantly pushing back against management.
I also think Lui’s background coming from a black company makes her more straightforward and assertive since she knows what it’s like being treated unfairly and doesn’t want her genmates to be pushed around by management too much. Not if there’s something Lui can do about it.
The comprehensiveness of Iroha's answer gives me a very big clue as to who sent this question in.
Who?
that’s what you develop when you are an ex office worker especially in sales and have to dealing with customer
Reminds me of Hikigaya from SNAFU
i think i understand luis part of it. im really not the most assertive person, but if i notice that my co-workers in a new project or something are even more hesitant about problems, i try to speak up for them too. its just something that you start doing when working for a while, especially under conditions you arent satisfied with.
having plentiful work experience and being able to read people well - which is both the case for lui - helps to gauge how far you can go with your opponent.
Oh this came from Iroha-my bad. I should have noticed Lui was just there for the meeting.
Hi just an input, I think it would be better to use lighter colour for Lui's caption so it's easier to read, you can use her hair color for example.
But overall it's a good clip.
Or changing the outline/midline(?). Having the letter and mid-outline both being dark didn't help. This makes me think... why having two outlines? One is more than enough.
I agree
But Lui-nee is Lui-nee~
The type that would score 200% on Kuukiyomi. Somehow always feel like they had to make everyone happy even if they sacrifice themselves in the process. Being overly nice would also appear as if you were being condescending to others.
It seems that for every Hololive generation, there's always the Big Sister / Mature person in the group.
Gen 0 = AZKi
Gen 1 = Akirose
Gen 2 = Choco-sensei
Gen 3 = Marine
Gen 4 = Towa (used to be Coco)
Gen 5 = Botan
HoloX = Lui-nee
ReGLOSS = Raden
I'm not sure of the EN and ID counterparts, but I'm sure there are also mature people in each group there.
Even with subs I don't understand anything.
Lui has an experience working in Thailand before so she's more relaxed when talking to superior. Thailand working culture is easy going compare to Japan😅
What does this even mean? I feel like it's mistranslated or some context is missing.
I think the gist of it is that Lui is often the one is is most vocal to management about what the others in Holo X need and making sure that they're all being heard. Although you're right, the translation isn't really all that clear and it requires a bit of guess work to make sense of it.
She's probably just pushing back at management when there's something they don't agree with, where the others are more apprehensive of conflict.
Basically Iroha is saying that during meetings Lui throws herself to the center of things with no consideration for how it could affect her, whether that means covering for the others or saying the hard things they may be brooding over. So Iroha is saying "Hey, worry about your own a little more and don't throw yourself in just like that, rely on us more!"
It is actually wholesome to see how much they care about each other.
I do think there is some missing context too yeah
I'm fairly certain they were being intentionally vague. But the gist of it is that whenever any of HoloX has some sort of grievance or disagreement with management, Lui is the one that brings it up and fights for it. Lui is claiming she is just voicing her own opinions, while Iroha is accusing her of sacrificing her own reputation with management for the sake of the others.
Chances are Lui really just is the type of person who speaks up for what she wants. That type of personality is a bit rare in Japan due to the cultural pressures from a pretty young age to stay in line and conform. Whether or not Iroha's worries are warranted really depends on how the people she is interacting with in management feel about these interactions.
Iroha is so cute for worrying about Lui like this, but I hope Lui doesn't change~
Just like a certain dragon it is imperative that boundaries be pushed, lacking conditions be addressed, and good ideas not be cast to the side out of management's over-cautious fears~
