Something that you should know about FLOOR JANSEN. She started singing in a symphonic metal band at just 16 years old. After Forever (1995-2009). Then she created a new Progressive Metal band, ReVamp (2009-2016). In 2018 she released a personal Hard Rock project (Northward). In 2012, she was invited by Nightwish to finish their world tour, after the band's second female singer (Annete Olzon) left. In 2013 she became Nightwish's full time lead Vocalist. She is a singing teacher. She sings in Dutch, German, English, Spanish, Finnish, Swedish, Italian and Latin. She sings Heavy Metal, THrash Metal, Pop, Rock, Symphonic Metal, Aria and Opera. She even sang rap. In March 2023 she launched her first Pop solo album "Paragon". THE BEST SINGER TODAY IN THE WHOLE WORLD.

If Floor sings it she owns it. You should watch Beste Zangers 2019 to see Floor's versatility it's a Dutch tv show/series where 6 or 7 singers take it in turns to sing each others songs or their favourites. The it's all good but the first episode is great as most of the other the singers hear her for the first time. The look on their faces is a picture.

Floor solo live is an absolute treat. I have seen her once yet cause every time I wanted to get tickets again she was already sold out which happens quickly. She is - for me - the greatest female singer of my lifetime.
To give you another treat of this Amsterdam show I would refer to Slow love slow, which is an old Nightwish song way back at Montreal Jazz Festival - and yes - it is like sitting in a Jass bar and enjoy a good whisky.

The former lead singer, Tarja Turunen, is also a highly skilled singer with great versality.
And have you heard of the band Iona? The uillean pipe player Troy Donockley has also played with Nightwish. Iona is a very progressive band that combines elements of celtic, jazz, rock, and other genres; and their lead singer Joanne (or "Jo") Hogg is a fantastic vocalist and songwriter who has appeared on BBC. She is also a licensed physician, having been raised in a home of medical missionaries. Iona and Joanne Hogg have performed with former Clannad lead singer Maire ("Moya") Brennan and her sister Enya, as well as Contemporary Christian Music artists Margaret Becker, Christine Dente, and others. Iona's music was initially distributed in Christian music retailers, but this band is as good or better than any band out there.
