No snow here in the land of Lincoln (Illinois, U.S.), but more often than not we don't have snow yet this time of year. I'm getting tired of brown Christmases, though! We need a white one this year; it's just not the same without some snow! Missing my sister-in-law this time of year.... she would be knitting and crocheting dishcloths for the holidays if she was still living.
I live in Western Australia and we have just endured 7 days of plus 35degrees C heatwave. A suburban bushfire claimed 18 homes and hundreds of folk had to flee. Thankfully we have a cool change tonight 🥵
I live in southern Indiana and most times if we get a measurable snow, it is more likely in January through March. We will get a dusting of snow every now and then. Today it is 58 degrees , partly cloudy with rain coming on Friday. I am crocheting one of Meghan’s blankets. The one you showed is the one I am making,
Coastal NC. We had one white Christmas in my lifetime. 1989. It was a freak low pressure just on the coast that happened to coincide either with a cold front. 15 inches of snow on Christmas Eve, the day I planned to travel to my parents home. I was driving a low two seater car so, housebound delaying Christmas.
We used to get snow regularly over Christmas here in England but not these days. We sometimes get some before Christmas but usually we have the most in Feb/March.
Hi ladies. I am in Northern Illinois & it has been pretty mild here. We had 1 morning in October when it snowed, melted pretty quickly. Gosh, its been a few years since we had snow for Christmas.
I live in Connecticut and no snow mainly rain 🙄 I recently found your channel and I saw an episode where your mom showed her cute pink socks and I told my fiancé how nice it would be to come from a family of crafters cause im the only one in my family 😅 you all are super sweet ❤
I live in Quebec City and YES we have snow since October 30th or 31st. It's not rare that snow falls at this date but it usually melts away. This year it didn't and we've had a lot of snow during the last week so it's definitely there to stay.
The Netherlands and no never snow at Christmas. Our weather is more like Vancouver, rain, rain and more rain😊These last years it has been 14 degrees Celsius so warm. Last July we had 14 degrees and I said to my husband “ he it just like Christmas eh” hahaha from 1981 to 1985 we lived in St.Albert and had snow from October thru April. My first winter we had -40😱
We live in northern New Hampshire USA and we have snow. This time of year we could have snow normally. Sitting watching is something I look forward to each week. Thanks gals
I live in the Bella Coola valley in BC. We had snow about 3 weeks ago. We are in the shade of the mountains from about Oct 20 to Feb. 20 and get no sun. Usually when we get snow it doesn't go until Mar. or Apr. This snow was washed away with rain and so we have none.
Finally got to watch and I’m in central Arkansas USA, and we were at almost 60 F today 😅. Winter doesn’t exist here til late January or February and we’re lucky if we go below freezing. Not ideal for a knitter or crocheter 😅😅😅
I remember I started watching you after you went to knit city Ames you spoke to the Grocery Girls!! Years ago and I am still here waiting for each of your podcasts!! I am from a family of five girls so I feel right at home!! Love you all!!
Katie, it's called a Green Chriatmas, because you can still see the grass. Not black Christmas. Today in southern Ontario, we have wind and light flurries, feels like -6.
Katie, Of all the Throwovers I've seen I like yours best, it looks beautiful on you!! Years ago I made the cardigan version but after seeing yours I am going to copycat you!!
You wonderful knitting & crocheting ladies made my day. Thank you. Thanksgiving day here in center of U.S. but I’m cooking and hosting dinner tomorrow. No snow here - in fact have had beautiful weather, sun with temperatures in 50 degree range (Fahrenheit). I am about to finish my pair of Comfort and Joy slippers and planning my next pair or two. Again, thank you for the knitting motivation.
I'm so excited, I finally got to order a needle and notions from Jojo, and a matching project bag. I've had them in my cart for a while, now they're on their way !! I'm going to show them to my subbies in my next video. I've never had a chance to buy an indie made project bag before, so this is my first and I will treasure them😊!!!!
SE Michigan has had 2 little snowfalls, including today. Covers the grassy areas only. Katie, I continue to be amazed that you use a long cable for sleeves and the hat you were knitting. How do you not get ladders? Your hair looked cute up with a bow 😊
👋 I’m from Iowa and we’ve had no snow yet. It’s a bit early, although not uncommon to have by now. Usually it’s in the 40-50s F over our Thanksgiving, and while we might have a white Christmas, we usually have the most snow from January thru early March.
I love the look of knitwear, but I can also crochet. In fact, I think my crocheting is a lot neater, and looks better than my knitting. however, usually crocheted sweaters and shawls look horrible. But when I saw what Katie was getting ready to crochet. I got on ravelry and ordered that pattern along with her shawl pattern and the Kensington throw pattern. They all look amazing and I can hardly wait to start. Thank you for the recommendation.
South Eastern Sask…..no snow right now but, since the last week of October, we’ve had two storms with about 5” each. Katie’s Throwback is super nice….what colours did you use? I used to just crochet because I thought it was just easier having one stitch at a time to deal with but the patterns were not that appealing so I picked up knitting about 10 years ago. I do crochet occasionally but it does eat up way more yarn.
YES we have snow here in Eastern Idaho. It's been on the ground for a few days. More coming on Thursday, aka Thanksgiving Day. It is very cold. By Monday we will be down to 9 degrees Fahrenheit = minus 12.7 Celsius.
Great podcast, lots of ideas. Is there an MKAL coming? Sorry I missed the last few months and thought I’d hear about it as time is getting closer…..thanks.

NE of England and I can't remember the last time we had snow at Christmas, like a proper snow. I think I was about 12 and now I'm 33.
Sara, I place a stitch marker on the knit side of the garment so I know which side is the right side. I find this helps.
We live in northern New Hampshire USA and we have snow. This time of year we could have snow normally. Sitting watching is something I look forward to each week. Thanks gals

From Cape Breton, ns and in the Sydney area no snow as of yet.. and hopefully not soon or too much.. I can handle a “ green Christmas”
