I was surprised to hear the high D at 7:44. In the album version, it seems to have been achieved using digital manipulation, and as far as I've been able to tell from the limited quality of people's phone recordings, the other live performances I've heard have left it out.
Yes, in other recordings the top note is a B (the third of the chord). Here it looks like one of the high D sopranos is in the front row, far left in a pink top (beside the woman in green who's beside Jason). You can see her toss her head a bit when hitting that D, and since it has to be held for so long she briefly turns her head away from the audience to exhale and return to the note. Due to the video quality I can't figure out who else is singing it. Update: in this video (ua-cam.com/video/C7gw5YHnVLY/v-deo.html) it looks like the red top in front of the choir director is also hitting that D.
@@masvocal2765 I'm pretty convinced by watching the other video that the first woman I mentioned is hitting that D. Maybe the one in the red top isn't, but at least one other person is hitting that note, yes?
