The Razer Core apparently works perfectly on the new 2016 MacBook Pro's with Thunderbolt 3 under Windows. Apple sells a bidirectional adapter for USB-C Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 1/2, so you could theoretically connect the Razer Core to any Mac with Thunderbolt.
This was actually useful, I just got myself an iMac a few days ago and I want to try and use it as a main desktop. I already had a gaming pc but I felt like switching to iMac. Your video made me realize I'm better off gaming only on my gaming pc. Thanks again for your video
Gaming consoles are getting long in the tooth, I would still just build a $500 gaming PC that will easily outperform a console. Have it next to my TV unit and use the Xbox controller with. I only have PS4 & XB for exclusives.
Installing Windows is definitely cheating. The reason Macs can't game well is software (DirectX, driver optimization). A Mac running windows is just a normal PC, albeit a very well built PC with low end physical graphics hardware.
+Wongseifu548 Which prebuilt PC desktops and laptops would you call wellbuilt? I bought an Asus 15" Zenbook for about $1600 a few months ago. It has great guts, but I had to return because the screen was cheap, they keyboard wretched, and overall it was far too fragile. Much more fragile than my now old MBP. I think the only tough PCs I've ever used were the business class Dell machines. Those are A OK. Panasonic toughbooks are cool, but big. I love Toshiba and Samsungs, but they're hardly well built -- they're just nice and small/well thought out. Same things with Razers. I feel too protective around them. It's a serious question... do you know of any decently sized machines that are well built? Especially portable ones with high end GPUs?
Thank You. i have Imac mid-2011, bought in 2020 for the taste and installed 500 gb ssd, dual booting windows, have some games on SSD & HDD (Dragon ball fighterz, dragon ball xenoverse 2, cup heads, ori and the blind forest, streets of rage 4) and i love the experience and I have PS4 for gaming but still wanted more & latest on the IMAC. Even after 04 Years, your work is really impressive and helping people such as me. I don't know if the scene has changed but i just wanted to appreciate your work. very well done. liked the video and subscribed to your channel.
I was starting to get excited by this concept, because I have a late 2013 27" iMac and was looking to build a new computer to game on, but I really don't want two computers due to space limitations. I also can't really get rid of my mac altogether because I simply need a mac for programming purposes, and really would just like to have one do-everything rig if it were possible. Maybe someday the eGPU will be more practical, but for now it looks like I am stuck rocking two computers.
zhain0 A few advantages. One, mac is Unix based, which gives you a lot of power through the command line tools, and 2. iOS programming must be done on a mac...
Inb4 people shed hate in the comments, the point is that with a windows partition and an external GPU, it's possible. It'd be a handy tool if an editor or someone who dearly relies on a mac, but also likes to play games every now and then.(in this case the 5k iMac can 100% play a slew of AAA games on lower-medium settings, not to push it too far.)
You don't even need the external GPU, this is just overkill. I can play AAA releases just fine on high or ultra on my 2013 iMac at 1440p. I just need to reboot into Windows because that's simply where most games get released. Also I find it hilarious how gaming is such an important factor of a computers worth to so many, which shows the narrow-minded outlook some have (not you, I mean in general).
+TalesOfWar you can't even run some titles at max settings in 1440p on a 980M, how is what you're saying possible? Unless you consider rocket league an AAA release of course...
+TalesOfWar I doubt that. A 2013 iMac would have at most a GTX 780m. I can't run most AAA games past medium settings on 1440p, and that with a GTX 770, which is faster than a 780m
Alex R. Oh, odd then that I do. I run Rise of the Tomb Raider, GTA5, Doom, Witcher 3, ArmA 3, Wolfenstein: The New Order, Shadow of Mordor etc at very reasonable frame rates at 1440p on a mixture of medium to ultra settings depending on the game. Most are high. Apple actually use a slightly overclocked 780M in the iMac because they have extra cooling headroom compared to the typical laptop you'd generally find such a chip in.
+TalesOfWar Yeah, exactly. Any iMac ordered with the best or even second best video chip is at least as good as the highest end gaming laptops people love, and sometimes better. They're certainly lighter than most of them, with the exception of the Razer Blade. :)
That doesn't solve the problem of underpowered hardware. Which is what that external GPU enclosure is for. Also, hackintosh is the act of running Mac OS X on non-apple hardware since most Intel based Macs support dual booting Windows via boot camp
Mikat Why would anyone who buys a PC want Mac OS on it? Why not just remove the nic card and install a 14.4 baud modem? Call it a Macputer. Tell Mac fans its a new rare release and sell it for $20,000.
This all ends up being so expensive you might as well just get a mac and a PC and then not have to worry about compatibility issues, performance loss, updates and jankiness etc.

I just never upgraded past my 2010 Mac Pro 12 core xeon at 3.4Ghz, 40GB 1333Mhz RAM (still need to buy more I still have space), a EVGA GTX 980 SC, and a cheap 200GB intel SSD runs on windows 10 and Mac OS Sierra and has never given me issues on playing any game over 60FPS maxed out and best of all there is no random cables lying all over my desk and I only have to use 1 display if I wanted to but I prefer dual.
Very nice man, finally someone picks up this topic and talk about it now. very good and detailed information. I was thinking about TB to pcie passthrough as well, please do more of this kind video
In short...Macs cant game. When macs can game without any compatibility issues or performance caps then we have a diff story lol. Oh..and not having to connect a massive 2nd PC to it too lol.
+TechSource They can game. Just not well. I'm certainly not ditching my two PC gaming rigs. LOL. It is neat to see partial compatibility, however, and hopefully let's us see into a future where we can game with desktop-grade hardware despite the platform or machine we use. I'm not optimistic, but I like to think it's possible. LOL. Thanks for stopping by.
I don't know if you already seem this, but on Kickstarter there´s an external graphics card called the wolf, that does allow Macs to play top games and it seems to work 100%.
You Were Right, WTF Is Up With Apple. They Need To Update Their Mac Pro. I Take It They Probably Spend Around 4K$ To Make It. Imagine The Amazing Power They Could Have Fir That Money In Mac Pros If They Used New Hardware
It'll be cool to see the future of eGPUs. If the cost gets low enough it'll be a pretty cool way to upgrade any laptop or thing to a "gaming" grade computer
So even though the gaming performance would be affected, does the Thun. 2 affect the use of CUDA performance as well? (reduced CUDA core usage because its not Thun.3)
+MrxTgK Disagree. Running Windows is sanctioned by Apple, therefore, completely applicable to this test. It's still a Mac even if it's running Windows.
Even if it is sanctioned by apple, windows removes a lot of (if not all) of what makes a mac a mac. It seems a waste to do a test like this in my opinion.
You can find some additional benchmarks here: bizon-tech.com/us/bizonbox2_benchmarks If you have any questions about the BizonBOX, just send a message to sales@bizon-tech.com and we’ll be happy to help.
apple tech geek That's fine for old PC Games, but not for PC Only Recent Titles, e.g. I not going to be able to run Forza Horizon 3 on my Mac with Wine
Mustaine_24 the Razer Core does not work on the current Macbook Pro yet. Hopefully soon it will. But Bizon is pre-selling their TB3 version for $600. Too expensive.
Just installed a Titan X Pascal in my 2010 Mac Pro runs great, wish that Nvidia hurry up with the web drivers so that I can get the Titan running on the Mac side
Bizon Box? Bison box is a modified Akitio Thunder2 that costs 400$ more with no additional features!!!! That product is so fraud!!! Buy a thunder2 box for 230$.
Biggest problem are driver optimization with OS X so no matter what, if you wanna game on your mac, youll have better performance with windows installed in bootcamp. Just try by yourself by installing the same game on both OS, you'll see a major diff.
Mac would very soon reduce it's share to the small group of fanboys, and enterprises that has already all-Apple policy. It's ridiculous how bad support, performance and predictability has become regarding anything produced by Apple. MacPro users was ignored by years, every fucking time fed with outdated, controversial and overpriced devices(not only them). I believe the day X has already came.
Based on the results, it seems like it's best to stick to 1080p resolution and no higher with Thunderbolt 2 Bizon-box. That's completely A-OK for me! I'm actually in the market for an E-GPU, and Bizon-box suits my needs. Really wish they would improve that case design though. If they could fit everything (including the bigger graphics cards) in the box without wires sticking out the top, I think it would be great.
We a working on a bigger case right now. You can like our Facebook page and subscribe to our UA-cam channel to see the news about our upcoming products.
Hello Bizon Computers. Do you have an ETA (estimated time of arrival) for your next Bizon Box version? For example, is it coming out this year, or next year? I'd rather buy the new bigger one if it's coming out soon.
Which GPU did you get? I really don't like that Snazzy Labs didn't reveal the GPU, even though you can get GPUs as good as and better than most gaming PC laptops in an iMac (but not as good as the high end purely desktop chips, unfortunately)
Exactly, but PC BROS just need something to do so they heckle macs because thats all there is... My Mac mini 2012 is getting an EGPU upgrade even though I can already run ANYTHING...
what CPU does your test bench have? and which CPU is the iMac? if youre running with the i5-4690 in the iMac, that may be where you getting the performance hit. that i5 bottlenecks at 1080p with the gtx 970 so I can only imagine it's maxing out pretty hard with the gtx 1080 at 1440p ultra wide. just a guess though.
+Snazzy Labs interesting. maybe if you had another 4790 in the bench and ran the tests again you'd find more similar results. if not I'd be interested to see what hardware would cause the drop in performance. my first guess would be the thunderbolt 2 - pcie.
+j7a1k1e I'm 100% sure it's the lack of bandwidth in Thunderbolt 2. Most benches online pit the 4790 ahead of the 5820 in gaming. Not to mention they're both pretty recent CPUs so I'm sure they're not the bottleneck.
imacs remind me of those B&O Music Centers of the last century, amazing design but overpriced, you could buy separate units, amp, turntable, etc to build a vastly better system, for your vinyl needs
It's pretty neat to think that gaming on any computer might be a possibility in a few years with increased eGPU support and stability, wouldn't you say? Cheers. :)
well thats not the point of this vid tho, he is talking about a mac that can actually play games using external gpu.. he isnt specifically saying that mac is better than others but he is saying that its possible to play high end game on a mac using an external gpu.. not everyone like or even familiar with windows..
well just an opinion here without that external gpu the mac cannot game on moderate settings for newer games it's that simple, heck why doesn't apple push for more hardware support and maybe even make a gaming line that has highg end gpu support and pay developers to develope for mac to until it becomes a viable platform.
+Michele Marai Yeah, both Windows and Mac OS are good for different things. Just like it's no way bad to own all the consoles. They're all cool in their own way. Overall productivity edge for many goes to Mac, except for specialized applications or things you just can't get on a Mac (like Xara, which oddly, is a very Mac like drawing program haha). Gaming edge still to Windows. And Windows 10 on a tablet is hideously fun to use. Very futuristic and fun way to browse the net and read quite a variety of content sources. IOS could learn a thing or two from Window's modern UI.
***** Do you have steam? Almost all the games require windows, not IOS. Of course some games could run "quite decently" but that doesn't matter when most of them are locked to windows. The thing that mac has running for them is status and gui.
Asian Cheat Codes There's no "status" with Mac, you buy one because you like it, it suits your needs, or both. And yes, I have 99% of my games on Steam, a good 95% of them running on OS X. Among them are AAA games such as Tomb Raider and Arkham City, and there are plenty of others available that are extremely popular, such as CS:GO, Shadow of Mordor, The Walking Dead, Bioshock Infinite, XCOM, Alien Isolation, and many, many others. Secondly, even if it's Windows only, it is so easy to install Windows via Bootcamp that retards can do it. So even though GTA 5 is Windows only, I still run it on my Mac.
It's a bit of stretch to say that a Crapple can game, when you are (a) installing Windows 10, then (b) soddering around in a 500+ bucks kit to fit a GPU, then (c) adding another external display ON TOP of the iCrap display! LOL! Macs can't game, Windows + Monitors + GPU + Keyboard + Mouse (which = PC) can game! But hey!! We already knew that!
Apple never lead in any way... Not hardware, not software, they never had any inovations... I dream of a day that apple fanboys will stop thinking apple "is the shit" or "was the shit", because it never was, it isn't, and it will never be.
***** You clearly know nothing about computer history do you? Apple brought the modern computing interface and mouse to the market first. apple have an incredible amout of firsts, it's apple who have shaped how modern computing works in every way you can imagine. That's why they make more profit than any business on the planet. do your home work mate!
***** You really are ignorant. The literally brought the first GUI and mouse computer to market. it's hard FACT. That's just one first. I was there, and watched all their firsts first hand. There is a reason why apple make more profit than any company on the planet. They created the most sold product by anyone in entire human history. You clearly are very uneducated. Heck, you can't even read wikipedia? How dumb can you get.
Lol, is this video suppose to make me less skeptical of macs? I have to drop $550 on that bizonbox to use a decent gpu on a mac (with huge stability issues). I would much rather buy a high end gpu and not worry about stability issues with the $550.
Pc guys always say that... They game fine on normal graphics settings... my 2012 mac mini hasn't been upgraded, save for a new fan, and I play any game on the market in 2018... Stop spending your money
I have a mid2011 2.7 quad core with ssd and the machine is still blazing fast have not had any problems and no reson to buy a new one other than the its about that time for a new computer i mean how long can you have a same machine for ! Im positive with the 2018 mac mini I will be just as fine as Im with that 7 years old mac lol and I do game on steam although you know 7 years old graphics card ? mostly ive played them of fortress 2 without any problems but seriously dude 7 years old computer ?!?! I bet you have 3 at least windows machines over past 7 years
Snazzy Labs when you stilled the nexus on your car I saw màna and other songs in Spanish. And I wasn't surprised because I'm the same skin color as you
I was so excited that my macbookpro 2011 had this crazy new port called Thunderbolt and how some day I might be able to upgrade it... looks like it is never going to happen
As Vulkan support for macOS probably isn't going to happen, my best bet is TB3 support on the Surface Pro 5 and an egpu. It's not going to appease the Apple fanboys, but AAA gaming on a tablet (technically a tablet:) is pretty cool!!
Hello, I just wanted to say that I love your videos. You make quality content, idk the way you explain it makes me understand very well, and an other funny thing: I only watched this video and I already subscribed. gg
I did this myself with the Akitio, 970, power supply and cables for £270. DO NOT buy the bizon box, it's just overpriced crap you can assemble yourself for way cheaper. The box itself costs more than my whole setup with a GPU at £460 + shipping.
Just ran into your channel, and am generally very impressed with your content. Great work! But I don't understand why you have "Mac Stock GPU" in the listings, instead of listing the actual chipt? While as of this writing the GPUs in the Macbook Pro 15 have gotten obviously old and long in the tooth, a high end iMac with the best GPU is going to be at least as good as, and sometimes better than, the very best gaming laptops. I would agree that if you want desktop performance, go ahead and build a little PC around a state of the card art. That will be amazing. Of course. But for people who think gaming laptops are fine and dandy, they'll be well happy with an iMac with the best GPU on offer. And, on a funny note, a 27" iMac may actually weigh loss overall than some of those gaming laptops, actually, hahahahaha. Wow, except for the Macbook like Razer Blade 15 (which only has an 970, not the 980), those things get awfully bulk and heavy!! :)
Awesome video! Love it! Did you try playing Elder Scrolls Online on your Mac? I just figure once all the technological issues get worked out, Thunderbolt 3, better driver support, price coming down, more Mac support for newer Macs, and a better way of getting it set up, then I think it can be very viable. It's just going to be a very long way to go to get there. Anyway, great video and keep up the great work! Peace!
...Or you could always optimize your game, call Metal APIs or use efficient Unity shaders and leave it to the integrated graphics. I did with my game development...
So basically "mac game can game" is not about mac actually being able to play games, but mac being able to play high end games in highest settings. I think I am ok with Steam and my standard late 2013 Late iMac 27'' thank you very much. But the video was definitely informative though highly misleading so a thumbs up from me.
It isn't about whether it can. It is about it being an insane price for performance that is not very good. Basically, for the cost of a Mac that can push 30-40fps on triple A titles at low to medium settings, you can build a PC for several thousand dollars less and plays at ultra settings at 60-144fps. PC is just by FAR the better value.
I simply bought a HighPoint RocketStor and it worked like a charm without any modifications except for adding a better PSU. $250 (w/o the GPU) Also I didn't use a Mac, fuck that.
I am not a Mac user but this video interests me for portability since I use a laptop for college work and want to game on it as well without buying an expensive "gaming" laptop from Razer or MSI, etc. Might look into the gaming laptops that have the GTX 1060 graphics cause they will be cheaper and lighter than the better 1070 and 1080 laptops also they aren't mobile GPU's (allegedly) but rather desktop grade GPU's inside a laptop - wicked! However that might still not be worth it for the here and now since I travel a lot from home to college (college during the week and home on the weekend) and can't have 2 computers for gaming at both places. Thus the eGPU would be the perfect fix for my dilemma or a pure gaming laptop which as I said earlier is too expensive at the moment. What do you guys think? I have made a mini-ITX gaming rig but then I lose out on SLI and other expansion card options such as WiFi cards and so on and of course sacrifice on watercooling and more hard drives, etc. My mini-itx rig is working quite well and fairly good temps so far and I will see how it works out with travel at college etc when I go there next week. Are there any cheaper DIY GPU options?
Step 1: Plug HDMI cable from Mac into external Monitor Step 2: Switch on external gaming PC Step 3: Remove HDMI cable from Mac and plug into gaming PC. Voila!
Yeah, I would say the same after all, but it is too sad to find it out too late for me. I bought Bizon Box and GTX 1080 for my MBP2014, it was awesome to play game on it, but with this boot issues it becomes a pain in the ass. Here I found another issue: sometimes GPU just hangs and displays are become black and only one can help is just reboot the mac.
There are so many people here that think they are so smart. But Snazzy shows something cool and suddenly so many commenters think they're the shit smeared over this video.
I don't like how you make it seem like Bizonbox is the only option, you can put together your own external GPU for way under that price point as seen in many UA-cam videos.
... It's drawn back not always by it's graphics but by It's API... "Metal API" is utilized primarily by the operating system, compromising lots of head room for the GPU. An external GPU will not solve all of your performance problems as the operating system as far as gaming is the chain's weakest link. A great solution is to Boot Camp with Windows! (Find a tutorial on UA-cam) With or without an external GPU is still a great answer to performance issues doomed specifically by Mac OS X and it's Metal API.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just build a second computer and use that only for gaming?
it would
Wouldn't it be a load cheaper not to buy the mac in the first place?
Gaming consoles are getting long in the tooth, I would still just build a $500 gaming PC that will easily outperform a console. Have it next to my TV unit and use the Xbox controller with. I only have PS4 & XB for exclusives.
Not for $500 from scratch (case, motherboard, OS, keyboard, power, cpu, RAM, video card, storage devices).
Yes it actually would be, this is not $500 with a gpu included, so you'd have to build a pc wihthoug any gpu in order to match it.
Installing Windows is definitely cheating. The reason Macs can't game well is software (DirectX, driver optimization). A Mac running windows is just a normal PC, albeit a very well built PC with low end physical graphics hardware.

And for worse, Apple isn't going to implement newer OpenGL and Vulkan.
A well built computer is one you build yourself.
True, but the machinery alone to build your own motherboards is ridiculous.
My simple solution for this problem. PC for gaming, 5K iMac for work. Simple as that
+nazhif1 Good solution.
+Snazzy Labs or hackintosh ;)
***** A top spec iMac is only $2299. A decent gaming pc & monitor is $1000-1500.
Michael J A hackintosh is unwise when your whole life's work depends on it.
lel why just not buy one good pc with windows and a good monitor, you can even install multiple operating systems if you love os x that mutch

It'll be cool to see the future of eGPUs. If the cost gets low enough it'll be a pretty cool way to upgrade any laptop or thing to a "gaming" grade computer
Agree. I like to dream of a future where it doesn't matter what computer you buy because you can always "plug-in" at home to higher-end components. :D
External gpu= weak ass computers on life support
You really did a good work here, lots of tests and money spent. Nice 🤘💪
Hey I know that guy!
So even though the gaming performance would be affected, does the Thun. 2 affect the use of CUDA performance as well? (reduced CUDA core usage because its not Thun.3)
The way he said your name tho
I am using a stock iMac 27 5k with 16gb of ram. I am running bootcamp windows 10... I am able to play games at great frames no extra equipment needed!
Saying a Mac can game would imply being on OS X as well, not installing windows to turn it in to a Windows desktop machine.
+MrxTgK Thanks for your opinion, but I disagree.
true
I agree with MrxTgk. Can you even call it a Mac when you're running Windows and or using a egpu? Without an OS its just a box full of computer parts.
Exactly what I was looking for. Answered the question for my 27" iMac. Thx
This is a joke
the mac or the video?
+Wongseifu548 both
+Alan Naranjo Oh god your profile pic... I havent seen this gif for ages
ya
Was actually contemplating buying this for my MacBook Pro. Luckily I watched your video first. Thanks for saving me a wad of cash.
You can find some additional benchmarks here: bizon-tech.com/us/bizonbox2_benchmarks
If you have any questions about the BizonBOX, just send a message to sales@bizon-tech.com and we’ll be happy to help.
But should pigs fly?
I have a 2013 mac with a nvidia 2gb 775m, i can run bf4 on high graphics at like 60-80 fps. Good enough for me!!!!
A Mac may game, but what OS will you be using to play those game...Windows Maybe? XD
Lolololol XD
apple tech geek huh?
apple tech geek That's fine for old PC Games, but not for PC Only Recent Titles, e.g. I not going to be able to run Forza Horizon 3 on my Mac with Wine
***** HYPE!
Dominik Ø. Windows is objectively better.
Giving unlimited budget, the newest 15" MBP with a razer core and a 4K display is the perfect setup for work *AND* gaming.
Mustaine_24 the Razer Core does not work on the current Macbook Pro yet. Hopefully soon it will. But Bizon is pre-selling their TB3 version for $600. Too expensive.
Curious Tinkering Isn't the razer core TB3, as well as the new MBP? Or is it just a driver issue?
I don't know the exact technical details. You can get more info if you watch +DAVE2Ds video on the latest Mac and the Core.
the 980 gets better performance than the 1060?
Yes, the 980Ti is a better card.
That Mac is just a glorified, overpriced GPU that still manages to bottleneck a 1060
I'm glad it works, but I'm not sure I'd go through the effort here.
I'd rather buy the new bigger one if it's coming out
soon.
There is no ETA for now. As soon as we will have it ready, we will share the news.
I installed Windows on my iMac. Even ran the new Battlefront on maxed out graphics. Had no problems.
what are your specs and resolution your playing at.
Which GPU did you get? I really don't like that Snazzy Labs didn't reveal the GPU, even though you can get GPUs as good as and better than most gaming PC laptops in an iMac (but not as good as the high end purely desktop chips, unfortunately)
I play most games at 2K Max graphics.
chemicalsam I have also done that. Ran Battlefield 4 with ultra graphics, didn't have problems and i got about 100 fps.
Exactly, but PC BROS just need something to do so they heckle macs because thats all there is... My Mac mini 2012 is getting an EGPU upgrade even though I can already run ANYTHING...
excellent video as always!
Thanks a million, Devon!
what CPU does your test bench have? and which CPU is the iMac? if youre running with the i5-4690 in the iMac, that may be where you getting the performance hit. that i5 bottlenecks at 1080p with the gtx 970 so I can only imagine it's maxing out pretty hard with the gtx 1080 at 1440p ultra wide. just a guess though.
+j7a1k1e 4790K in the iMac; 5820K in the bench.
+Snazzy Labs interesting. maybe if you had another 4790 in the bench and ran the tests again you'd find more similar results. if not I'd be interested to see what hardware would cause the drop in performance. my first guess would be the thunderbolt 2 - pcie.
+Snazzy Labs maybe try running the test bench with the external setup to see how it performs.
+j7a1k1e I'm 100% sure it's the lack of bandwidth in Thunderbolt 2. Most benches online pit the 4790 ahead of the 5820 in gaming. Not to mention they're both pretty recent CPUs so I'm sure they're not the bottleneck.
+Snazzy Labs makes the most sense to me. good to know.
imacs remind me of those B&O Music Centers of the last century, amazing design but overpriced, you could buy separate units, amp, turntable, etc to build a vastly better system, for your vinyl needs
Lets face it Macs are for editing And PCs are for gaming
nah... Macs are smoother, Pc's are like drinking and driving... your gonna fuckkking crash soon.
I love how they wrote "trashcan" next to mac pro
All you see is "Trashcan" as one of the reviews... lmfao oh god
Good to see your defending your heritage
;D
HAHAHHAHHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAH
HAHAHHAHHHHAHAHHHAHHHAHAHHAHHHAHHHAHAHAHHAHA
AGHHAHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA
Fucking macs.
Still funny after all these years. Let's start calling people 'macs' when they act really stupid. Imma do it today.
It's pretty neat to think that gaming on any computer might be a possibility in a few years with increased eGPU support and stability, wouldn't you say? Cheers. :)
Macs are a fucking joke.
Macs are a fucking joke.
You sir, just got yourself a subscriber
Or you know you could buy a better pc for $1000 less that has an os that most games actually support
+Ross Reynolds Which is exactly what I said...
well thats not the point of this vid tho, he is talking about a mac that can actually play games using external gpu.. he isnt specifically saying that mac is better than others but he is saying that its possible to play high end game on a mac using an external gpu.. not everyone like or even familiar with windows..
well just an opinion here without that external gpu the mac cannot game on moderate settings for newer games it's that simple, heck why doesn't apple push for more hardware support and maybe even make a gaming line that has highg end gpu support and pay developers to develope for mac to until it becomes a viable platform.
AND YOUR PC IS AS BIG AS A HOUSE ! AS LOUD AS A DRYER ! AND THERES PLUMBING TO CONSIDER! DERP!
Good guy snazzy, never bechmarked before but doesn't talk over when shows the charts 👍
Just buy a real pc...
As he said in the end
+Dominik Ø. Sadly... They are real.
+Dominik Ø. I have a Macbook pro...
+Dominik Ø. Not really it's the older one. It doesn't even boot anymore. My point is that I like both os
Make sure you watch till the end before hating on this dude.
Do what all pc gamers do: don't play on a mac
Asian Cheat Codes even better, don't buy one
Or accept the fact that some of them can play games quite decently and stop acting as if building a computer makes you better than everyone else.
Rainbow Dashs BBFF what 'needs' exactly? And don't bother mentioning Final Cut. That's just a stupid excuse.
I really like this look.
Nah, Macs can game, but you have to spend about $5,000 or more on a Mac that has an i7 4790 and at least a GTX 970 xD
4K or 5K display, depending on the screen size? Sure. iCrap display. Go take your bias somewhere else.
Samuel S. Mandal most adults aren’t buying a computer with video games in mind.
Samuel S. Mandal iMac displays put other all in one displays to shame even some expensive monitors
OMG I've come back to the times of free range, gluten free Quinn
Where the fuck is thunder bolt 3 on macs??? It's so fucked up.
On the next Macbook Pro. Thunderbolt 3 and USB Type-C is still young.
Kaminishi
I doubt it, we will wait and see. Apple used to lead now they are behind.
Apple never lead in any way... Not hardware, not software, they never had any inovations... I dream of a day that apple fanboys will stop thinking apple "is the shit" or "was the shit", because it never was, it isn't, and it will never be.
*****
You clearly know nothing about computer history do you?
Apple brought the modern computing interface and mouse to the market first.
apple have an incredible amout of firsts, it's apple who have shaped how modern computing works in every way you can imagine.
That's why they make more profit than any business on the planet.
do your home work mate!
*****
You really are ignorant.
I'm glad this channel exists, proving all of the non-experienced mac skeptics wrong.
Lol, is this video suppose to make me less skeptical of macs? I have to drop $550 on that bizonbox to use a decent gpu on a mac (with huge stability issues). I would much rather buy a high end gpu and not worry about stability issues with the $550.
Of course you can do anything on a Mac if you install widows and add extra external components I don't think any one was skeptical of that.
the people who lack experience are those who buy apple products
dislike, mac can't game :/
I bet you have 3 at least windows machines over past 7 years
Bitter af
Here in INDIA, most people like to go for Custom PC as its easy to replace the hardware if someone wants to upgrade.
do you speak Spanish
+T1GR3S13 Yep.
You can send an e-mail to sales@bizon-tech.com with your MacBook Pro specifications, we will look up if it is compatible with the BizonBOX.
add up the price of a graphics card and the case might as well build a full gaming pc that can be customisable in the future
I use my 2014 5k iMac to play GTA V, I can play 30+ fps at ~2040x1440 on High with anti aliasing off. Far Cry etc all perform well
As Vulkan support for macOS probably isn't going to happen, my best bet is TB3 support on the Surface Pro 5 and an egpu. It's not going to appease the Apple fanboys, but AAA gaming on a tablet (technically a tablet:) is pretty cool!!
Hello,
I just wanted to say that I love your videos. You make quality content, idk the way you explain it makes me understand very well, and an other funny thing: I only watched this video and I already subscribed. gg
thank you dude 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I like how everybody’s Mac works GTA5 but mine can barely work minecraft with shaders.
This has a very interesting future. Looking forward to future MacBooks and cheaper eGPUs
I'm happy with installing nvidia drivers on my 2012 macbook pro.
But the video was definitely informative though highly misleading so a thumbs up from me.
dude its been forever since you posted
That GPU looks so sleek with that aluminium look.
*2:44** Mac Pro (Late-2013) **_"trashcan"_* 😂😂
If Apple begin to support thunderbolt 3, would be better results
Even if they support thunderbolt , it won't be gaming oriented. As you will have to install windows to run DirectX games
That EVGA is super sexy, holy
"Mac fanboys you can stick your play stations" best line in the whole video. shots fired
I simply bought a HighPoint RocketStor and it worked like a charm without any modifications except for adding a better PSU. $250 (w/o the GPU) Also I didn't use a Mac, fuck that.
thank you for this vid, very instructive informations! it would take a lot of time to find these informations without the video...
correct me if I'm wrong but now in 2018, the recent Max OS X Higher Sierra's biggest update note was to support external PCI gfx card
I would've enjoyed seeing how the new Bizonbox 3 worked with the new MacBook Pro and an old MacBook Pro (via adapter from USB-C to thunderbolt 2)
Maaaan i remember watching your videos way back when u used to review iphone stuff before you left youtube
I can play all these games with my Mac.
I'm just here to make my VR work.
That’s what I’m looking for
Really interesting video and I haven't seen anyone else try this. Any idea why the Mac was worse across the board, just Thunderbolt 2?
+Strat296 Yep. Even the Razer Core with TB3 is only supposed to squeeze about 90% performance out of the GTX1080.
Step 1: Plug HDMI cable from Mac into external Monitor
Step 2: Switch on external gaming PC
Step 3: Remove HDMI cable from Mac and plug into gaming PC. Voila!
Thank you
I'm not a professional english speaker, but in the last 5s it looks like if he say "stay nazi"
"Stay snazzy." It means to say: "keep being cool or "keep being classy."
+Snazzy Labs Greeat error! jajajajaj sorry about that😰
A mac can game, with externals cards and stuff, but they still only have like 5 options on steam unless you run dual Os
