My understanding is an accurate whelping date is calculated 65 days from the LH surge. This surge is what triggers ovulation.
Generally we don’t use lh surge anymore. Pg is simpler

We just had a natural breeding. Should we solely go off the progesterone level for the delivery date?
I had my bulldog stud on day 9 and day 11.
So you said progesterone level will be 2 when 2 days away from C section . So what will the level be when it’s 12-24 hours before ready for c section ?
Mad cause vet gave me run around on getting my girls csection and lost one puppy cause I had go far out for her and she was 2 days past her due date! And they saw one pup had a weaker heart rate! Still didn't do csection claiming have no time! Even vet town over was disappointed in vets hate breeders yet butcher or hurt puppies by not doing there Job and yet still like money!
I have a old English bulldog, we took her progesterone test on a Friday of 11. Vet said to wait and do another test Monday, so we did. It went up to 40 it was her 12th day. We were told that she was ready for sergical insemination,that same day Monday. My question is did we do the sergical insemination late? And what should we expect.

My dogs levels on 12/15/2020 where a 1.5 and I got her re tested on 12/17/2020 and she was a 7.2, I did my AI the following day when would you say whelp day would be? Shes American Bully.

I've watched dozens of videos. Im scheduled for reverse progesterone tests in the coming days. My girl is day 59 from ovulation, 58 from first AI, 57 from second AI... BUT her x-ray yesterday showed she's having a singleton pregnancy. Ive been warned that all these warning signs may not even show themselves. How do i know, for certain, that i dont do the c-section too soon or too late?

Hi James, my bitch got a TCI at progesterone level 15 (3/29/21) with ovulation date according to vet (3/27/21) will the due date still be 60 days post TCI? I know you mentioned progesterone level of 20-25 for TCI but our results came a day late. The bitch got a vaginal AI day after TCI. Thoughts on when it’ll be safe for scheduling c section if all the signs and symptoms you mentioned are in place. Cheers!
Hi James, my female just had her first AI done this past Monday on the 13th with A Progesterone level of 12.2 and then another AI done two days later on the 15th at which this point she is no longer bleeding it’s a watery consistency. Did I time it correctly and do you think she’ll have a big litter ?

Our French bulldog had her 1st insemination on the 22nd and 24th September.(this is her 1st litter) She had an ultrasound scan and was told to expect 7/8 pups but they can't be certain on the total. We had another scan at 6 weeks to see whether she had reabsorbed any they found it difficult to scan as there was so many puppies. She will be 61 days on the 22nd November is it safe to schedule a c-section on day 62 from the 1st artifical insemination?

In the video, you say keep track of the number of days of prior successful litter. For my females first litter we got 10 puppies after doing surgical AI on day 12 with a level of 18ng. For her 2nd breeding, we just did a surgical insemination at a level of 17.5ng on day 9. 3 days sooner than the 1st breeding. Is that normal or should we have waited 1 more day? On day 8 she was at 7.4ng so her numbers were rising fast

So my female started her 2nd heat (first drop of blood) Friday, January 4th - first AI was done Sunday, January 12th (progesterone level was 17.58); 2nd AI was done Monday, January 13th - did I time it correctly? Or was I too late and can expect a small litter

Some dog breeds (French Bulldogs, English Bulldogs etc ) have difficulty whelping naturally. C-section is actually safer for these breeds.

Can you AI/breed too much? I AI’ed my bitch on Jan 9th, she ovulated Jan 11th so I AI’ed her again Jan 12, 13 & 14th.... then my pair decided to naturally tie on Jan 15 & 16th 🤦🏼♀️ I will have an ultrasound in February 9th and am x ray day 55, the watch for signs of labor and do a reverse before the c section if she’s pregnant. My vet has in house progesterone testing and won’t do a section if the progesterone isn’t where it’s supposed to be.
I wish i had those c section prices im from California and its about 1,200 to 4k. Just had a litter and always use progesterone test and remember the number my vet is all he goes by. Follow us on whiskyandremy@ instagram.
