I live here in Indiana and I asked the bankruptcy court clerk do they send any type of affidavit or letter stating that they don’t deal with the credit bureau’s and she told me they don’t send any letters like that. I was devastated to hear this. Is there a case by case bases depending on the state you live in and do you suggest I just send the letter as you instructed anyway and force to give me some sort of response? 😪

Hey, great info. I think it's important to let people know that removing a chapter 13 is a little more in depth. If you remove 13 without removing items in the 13 your credit score will decrease because the items listed in the 13 will loose the bankruptcy covering. The proper way to do a chapter 13 is to have the individual items listed in the 13 removed first before you remove 13covering. Removing 13 should be last.
Great video as always! I completely agree the current credit system is flawed, but at what cost is this going to be to fix it. For one, like others have posted what government system has ever been smooth and without flaw. This sounds more like less privacy of individual finance. Bank account info and payment history being directly shared to the government. They already know what is reported on end of year taxes. This would allow knowledge of how that money is spent as well. For most people that may not matter but it’s still something to think about. At the end of the day, it’s what it’s. Freedom is far from being free in today’s time. This might make it easier for younger people to get credit they deserve. At the same time giving more credit then someone is accustom to can create problems that could be avoided as well. Because I was in the same situation where my score denied me from great position but I have no worries when I met Hackergold02 on I-g.

I explained my credit issues and he gave me a quote after reviewing my credit file. I now have an excellent score of 794 and all my negative credit records erased permanently.
It only works, IFF (if and ONLY if) it works. I have had so many help me with this over the last 3 years. They took off all sorts of things - all accounts that were included, the old address. Nothing worked until a guy gave a letter for LexisNexis - it worked for Transunion who removed the bankruptcy, equifax is supposed to too, but they haven’t removed it yet. It appears to have not worked at all for Experian. And Experian is what most places run… I went to the clerk to today and they refused to write a letter. I know the squeaky wheel gets the oil. In other matters I got my congresswoman’s office to deal with another gov agency to get them to talk to me and I got through - but it was too late for the purpose. It’s so disheartening to be a law abiding tax payer and get no respect from the government. I may just get my congresswoman’s office involved again -no respect!!
The first step is to put a freeze on your or the client's accounts with Lexis Nexis, Innovis, and Sagestream. Then proceed with the letters to the credit bureaus and the court clerk.

Hello Daniel Rosen, I wrote the credit bureaus with the response I received from the courthouse. The credit bureaus stated it was verified, and did not remove the bankruptcy from my clients credit report now I’m going to file a complaint with CFPB, what should I write in that letter to the matter from the response I received from the credit bureaus
do I dispute all items included in the bankruptcy as well? also my mortgage is listed as late payments because it was included in the bankruptcy, should I dispute to have my mortgage history removed? because won't lenders look at the late payments on my mortgage and ask why those payments were late and then I would have to tell them it was included in my bankruptcy which would let them now know I had a bankruptcy..
Thanks for the info. I read by law you can only dispute bankruptcy within 7 years if there is an error. Also unless I missed it you didn't say what reason to select for the dispute. Example Experian asks- dismissed/withdrawn, discharged, not my bankruptcy, belongs to another person, identity theft, other. Appreciate some suggestions.
I have one dismissed BK and right after it got dismissed, I re filed for Chapter 13 BK which is not Discharged till Aug, 2023. You can put a Security Freeze on your LexisNexis report. With that being done, no company can retrieve information from LexisNexis until you lift it. If you plan on applying for a new bank account you will need to lift it. You can choose to do it temporarily for that purpose. I'm not sure what else it will need to be lifted for. They will mail a security freeze code that you will need to provide them in order to lift the freeze. Also, if you see inaccuries on your LexisNexis report, you can dispute that also.
FIRST: I have no idea whether the information in this video works or not. BUT, I can say this much: Bankruptcies are public record. Therefore, I'm hard-pressed to believe that a credit bureau would remove a bankruptcy simply for the reason that a _court did not directly provide the info to the credit bureau._ All the credit bureau has to do - which is the same thing that anyone in this comments section can do - is go to the courthouse website and lookup the bankruptcy. Other than the court website, there is an online system of legal records called "PACER" (Public Access to Court Electronic Records). So, if you present the credit bureau with a letter from the court that says "we don't report to credit bureaus", I'd think that the credit bureau would simply reply _"we do not rely on credit reporting from courts since courts do not 'report' to credit bureaus. Instead, we verified your bankruptcy through public records - a listing of a legal bankruptcy on the court's website is deemed 'verified'."_ Dude in the video mentions something about _"who _*_furnished_*_ the public record bankruptcy info"._ I don't know that it matters whether the court *sent the info the credit bureau* or whether *the credit bureau went and verified the info with the court.* The bottom line is that the credit bureau is in the business of aggregating data about consumers, and I don't know of any restrictions as it pertains to public data. Now, if the public data is *wrong,* that would be a different story. But, again, I haven't tried the method. So, you can play around with the system all you want. Your mileage may vary.

I've been fighting with the 3 credit bureaus for months trying to remove 4 bankruptcy notices on my credit reports. They all stated they verify them with Lexis Nexis, so I went to LexisNexis as they requested & got a copy of my report which does not show any bankruptcies & sent them to them & they are still refusing to take them off. They told me I had to get LexisNexis to send them to them directly so I called LN & they said they don't do that. I have all calls recorded for accuracy. What can I do? Thanks!

What do you do when the credit bureaus come back with they checked back with the third party and they verified the accuracy, without giving you all the info on that third party name, address, numbers to dispute how the got that record from the courts if it's public, plus how do you get off all the creditor that you filed bankruptcy with ?? I called them and put a freeze on my report and stated I was in an abusive relationship (had a letter from a shelter) and I didn't want my ex to locate me also that i was a victim of identity theft. They will have you email proof any reason you give for wanting your report frozen. If you don't have it I dont think they'll deny your freeze, but it helped me get it done in 24hrs. When I received my report their were so many addresses i never lived at, a false report my license was suspended (never happened) and inquires of someone trying to get an American Express and Rapid Loan in my name! And my name was spelled incorrectly. I disputed all inaccurate info with them over the phone and made sure they know i wanted my report froze! I got the ref/conf number, who i spoke with, time and date. They are a very janky company that will act like they can't hear you or hang up in you. I told them I was a victim of identity theft they sent me something in the mail with a pin number and i was able to go online and see all the incorrect and fraudulent things on my consumer report with them. Dont get discouraged if you call and they act like they can't hear you, just call right back! Also, I've called a few times and got hung up a few seconds after it picked up. I got a letter response from the Court it was somehow confusing it was more like a flier and in the back it said on red that cortt doesnt report to credit agencies the letter had no name not address I hope this helps ill send it to experian now

Kinda the same with me... The CFPB actually sided with me. However, they seemed like they had little to NO pull to enforce anything. They ultimately told me to sue the credit bureaus. Experian removed the BK but Equifax (ESPECIALLY) and TransUnion are NOT following FCRA laws by far!

Hi Michael, great question. Once the bankruptcy (the public record of the actual bankruptcy) has been removed, the accounts (creditors) that were included in the bankruptcy are usually really easy to remove by simply disputing as inaccurate. Since the public record is gone, there is no record of the person filing bankruptcy and they are usually deleted. If not, you go through all the same processes as you would any other item.. Request verification, > dispute, > follow up, > send warnings, > file complaints, > dispute with the creditors, > follow up, > send warnings, > file complaints etc... Hope that helps!

I’m in Los Angeles. Just went to the court clerk’s office. They told me how the credit bureaus get their information and they refused to write a letter stating it. I’m filing a grievance for their refusal to write the letter that only would state what they told me. Really, how do I get a letter if they refuse to write one?

What happens when the credit bureau states that LexusNexis verified the public record? What is the procedure in that situation?
You can put a Security Freeze on your LexisNexis report. With that being done, no company can retrieve information from LexisNexis until you lift it.
If you plan on applying for a new bank account you will need to lift it.
You can choose to do it temporarily for that purpose. I'm not sure what else it will need to be lifted for. They will mail a security freeze code that you will need to provide them in order to lift the freeze.
Also, if you see inaccuries on your LexisNexis report, you can dispute that also.

FIRST: I have no idea whether the information in this video works or not. BUT, I can say this much: Bankruptcies are public record. Therefore, I'm hard-pressed to believe that a credit bureau would remove a bankruptcy simply for the reason that a _court did not directly provide the info to the credit bureau._ All the credit bureau has to do - which is the same thing that anyone in this comments section can do - is go to the courthouse website and lookup the bankruptcy. Other than the court website, there is an online system of legal records called "PACER" (Public Access to Court Electronic Records).
So, if you present the credit bureau with a letter from the court that says "we don't report to credit bureaus", I'd think that the credit bureau would simply reply _"we do not rely on credit reporting from courts since courts do not 'report' to credit bureaus. Instead, we verified your bankruptcy through public records - a listing of a legal bankruptcy on the court's website is deemed 'verified'."_ Dude in the video mentions something about _"who _*_furnished_*_ the public record bankruptcy info"._ I don't know that it matters whether the court *sent the info the credit bureau* or whether *the credit bureau went and verified the info with the court.* The bottom line is that the credit bureau is in the business of aggregating data about consumers, and I don't know of any restrictions as it pertains to public data. Now, if the public data is *wrong,* that would be a different story.
But, again, I haven't tried the method. So, you can play around with the system all you want. Your mileage may vary.

I've been fighting with the 3 credit bureaus for months trying to remove 4 bankruptcy notices on my credit reports. They all stated they verify them with Lexis Nexis, so I went to LexisNexis as they requested & got a copy of my report which does not show any bankruptcies & sent them to them & they are still refusing to take them off. They told me I had to get LexisNexis to send them to them directly so I called LN & they said they don't do that. I have all calls recorded for accuracy. What can I do? Thanks!

What do you do when the credit bureaus come back with they checked back with the third party and they verified the accuracy, without giving you all the info on that third party name, address, numbers to dispute how the got that record from the courts if it's public, plus how do you get off all the creditor that you filed bankruptcy with ?? I have a letter from the courts, is their some statue that says public records can't be used, or because it's a legal document the court can't send it out, but it's public for all to see..please help

I called them and put a freeze on my report and stated I was in an abusive relationship (had a letter from a shelter) and I didn't want my ex to locate me also that i was a victim of identity theft. They will have you email proof any reason you give for wanting your report frozen. If you don't have it I dont think they'll deny your freeze, but it helped me get it done in 24hrs. When I received my report their were so many addresses i never lived at, a false report my license was suspended (never happened) and inquires of someone trying to get an American Express and Rapid Loan in my name! And my name was spelled incorrectly. I disputed all inaccurate info with them over the phone and made sure they know i wanted my report froze! I got the ref/conf number, who i spoke with, time and date. They are a very janky company that will act like they can't hear you or hang up in you. I told them I was a victim of identity theft they sent me something in the mail with a pin number and i was able to go online and see all the incorrect and fraudulent things on my consumer report with them. Dont get discouraged if you call and they act like they can't hear you, just call right back! Also, I've called a few times and got hung up a few seconds after it picked up. Can you use an authorization from the client to sign the letters on their behalf using a facsimile signature?

Great video as always! I completely agree the current credit system is flawed, but at what cost is this going to be to fix it. For one, like others have posted what government system has ever been smooth and without flaw. This sounds more like less privacy of individual finance. Bank account info and payment history being directly shared to the government. They already know what is reported on end of year taxes. This would allow knowledge of how that money is spent as well. For most people that may not matter but it’s still something to think about. At the end of the day, it’s what it’s. Freedom is far from being free in today’s time. This might make it easier for younger people to get credit they deserve. At the same time giving more credit then someone is accustom to can create problems that could be avoided as well. Because I was in the same situation where my score denied me from great position but I have no worries when I met Hackergold02 on I-g.
I can't wait to test this out on a friends credit report.

I got a letter response from the Court it was somehow confusing it was more like a flier and in the back it said on red that cortt doesnt report to credit agencies the letter had no name not address I hope this helps ill send it to experian now

I’ve followed this method, and even filed complaints with the CFPB but CFPB seems to be doing nothing other than siding with the CB’s. Any advice?
Kinda the same with me... The CFPB actually sided with me. However, they seemed like they had little to NO pull to enforce anything. They ultimately told me to sue the credit bureaus. Experian removed the BK but Equifax (ESPECIALLY) and TransUnion are NOT following FCRA laws by far!

I disputed the bankruptcy and sent proof from the courts as well, they sent a letter back stating they do not have to reinvestigate unless I have proof but the letter from the courts was proof I thought, what do I need to say when I report them cause it needs to come off ASAP thank you

Hi Michael, great question. Once the bankruptcy (the public record of the actual bankruptcy) has been removed, the accounts (creditors) that were included in the bankruptcy are usually really easy to remove by simply disputing as inaccurate. Since the public record is gone, there is no record of the person filing bankruptcy and they are usually deleted. If not, you go through all the same processes as you would any other item.. Request verification, > dispute, > follow up, > send warnings, > file complaints, > dispute with the creditors, > follow up, > send warnings, > file complaints etc... Hope that helps!
