I have a theory on their default positioning and it has to do with this. When there are 2 part harmonies it is either Solar and Wheein or Wheein and Hwasa. It's like a baton hand off with their voices. Solar and Wheein hand off at the higher register going into a belt while Wheein and Hwasa hand off on the breathy tones. In the middle, each have their own lanes.
i love how they will never leave moonbyul. She's not the strongest singer but she has meaningful rap which shows so much and they always include her in the performances here i love it.

But also she’s so important in a lot of their harmonizations and backup vocals. And her singing voice is actually very strong, in my opinion. More soul and strength than other main vocals in other girl groups.

There is no other idol group that has performed at Immortal Songs as much as Mamamoo (they went around 13 times, second is Gfriend with only 4 appearances). This is what a group full of talent looks like, they are acknowledged as singers not just idols they are admired even by non- Kpop fans

@@rhyasella she's basically good at everything, has a very stable voice whether it's low range or high, she's good at almost every music genre, she supports hwasa and solar's high notes since her voice can melt into anybody's, her singing technique is very different than the other members, plays instruments ( piano and drums ), paints and draws really well, dances , her style sense ( rocks casuals) also has a beautiful cheerful personality, she's the energy that charges the members and mamamoo's unofficial maknae. Cute like a puppy with mesmerizing DIMPLES.
I love all mamomoo members but wheein hits differently.
@@rhyasella all of the above, plus wheein is often overlooked by new fans or casual listeners in group activites since she rarely does the belts or standout stuff in their group music as shes usually supporting everyone else but if you listen to her solo stuff once I swear you fall in love immediately lol
@@_mollusc_lover_1509 I was one of the guys that overlooked her. But when killing voice ver hit, I understood her role. She's a good dang sturdy bridge. If this is a band, she's a solid bass player. Its not the flashiest but a must to have. All 4 of them complimented each other well. I have tons of respect to their company.

Moonbyul's parts just made the song a lot better and more passionate. And of course they slaaaaaaayyyyy. Hwasa really has that super emotional and husky voice, wheein's voice was super super clean and clear and quite angelic while solar's voice was really powerful and gives a very large impact. This just gave me the goosebumps especially at their harmonies. Its too perfect

Solar's voice is so under-appreciated. I love what she does with her voice - how it can be so delicate, then powerful, and in some other songs, even guttural. Mamamoo's performances are just insanely good.
I don't know if any of y'all have ever seen Noh Sayeon on Running Man but she is honestly the sweetest, funniest, and most humble person. She's been in the industry 40 years and it hasn't changed her.

There are a lot of very good Korean singers but you can't guess, hearing boysbands or girlsbands : all from the same pattern, and their companies prefer they learn dances by hearth than they improve artistic personalities. K-Pop is a sad industry, in fact : average life of such bands, three years, then, the biggest part of young boys and girls are alone, without money, trying to find any kind of job. They lost four or five years, running after dreams which often are nightmares...

When you know how beautiful Moonbyul's voice is and you've seen the video where she explains she often felt bored and left out because she had to just stand there for most of the songs during these live performances and your heart just breaks when you see exactly what she meant
So proud of her for finally breaking out of her shell and starting to sing now. She doesn't use a powerful voice like Solar and Wheein but there's something about her voice that, even though it isn't crazy belting vocals, it's inexplicable and mind-blowing and you can't get enough of it once you hear it

I always come back to this performance...its just so satisfying. Their vocals here are top notch!. Hwasa with that depth and emotion in her vocal tone, pulling me in. Wheein with her clear and soft voice opening up my ears. Solar and her powerful piercing voice just hitting me where it hurts. Moonbyul with her poetry and rhythm capturing me to the story she's laying out. ugh. and then the harmonies!. Eargasms!
