Fantastic shave Kevy, I have been using this cream for north of 3 years now, the anti septic scent is an astute observation. Dettol is the leading hand sanitizer, hand wash and anti septic liquid company selling in India! Perhaps they decided to keep it simple and incorporate the basic smell that we are so used to!
I just bought a Blackbird and I love. I originally bought a dart but I couldn’t get use to the blade exposure. The guys at BLACKLAND are awesome. They have 30 days return policy. So I got the Blackbird.
The Little Blondie! Always nice to see your old faithful Semogue 610. We were also treated to your other Little Blondie (Riley), last episode. You have an affinity for blondes, sir. Scratchy throat? Hmm, too much projection onstage, or a cold coming on? When I was an operator at AT&T, we used Celestial Seasonings' chamomile & honey lozenges to prevent becoming hoarse while processing calls. I hope they're available in the UK. If it is from an impending ailment, I gargle with 50/50 peroxide and water. That will assist overwhelmed tonsils. The Blackland is machined to perfection. The Dart is as well. I love Nacet myself. Tony Tony, and I have been lobbying Manny to re-visit them. Hopefully he will. I find the Dettol intriguing. The scent indeed sounds like Arko. The performance was admirable. It lathered easily, with assistance from the deeply ridged Contini bowl. I need to get one of those custom shop Super Soakers. I predict mine will be the Proraso Red type for some reason. Well done, dear friend. I hope the scratchy throat is a passing malady. A terrific post to make a equally matching BBS result. Cheers! Hi Alex. We do have honey lozenges in this country, they're called Lockets and have been around for many years.Also a throat Lozenge called Fisherman Friend!! Soar throat? Suck on a Fisherman's Friend!! Lol! Do you have much further to go before you can use your red Proraso super soaker? The throat feels much better now. Great shave Kevy and no cuts thats great and that cream is suggested by doctors if anyone is getting irritation after shaving then that helps to prevent irritation one of the best used cream in India

Nice shave - truly international there Kevy. The razor looks kinda smooth although its touted to be on the aggressive side by most others AND the maker! You really do like trying just about every soap/cream out there don't you, so a BIG thanks for that. it will help the budget shavers (like me) as well as the artisan users. Great! keep it up.

In India I understand the shave cream is R65 or 70 pence a tube. You can only get it on ebay here in Australia for about the price you paid. Excellent stuff. There is a menthol version also which is nice.

It's not just anti-freeze @ Mark, and it's quite safe. Propylene glycol (CH8O2) is a commonly used drug solubilizer in topical, oral, and injectable medications. It is used as stabilizer for vitamins, and as a water-miscible cosolvent. ... As a pharmaceutical additive, propylene glycol is generally regarded as safe. In the USA (which is very restrictive), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has classified propylene glycol as an additive that is "generally recognized as safe" for use in food. So you could even eat this stuff if you were starving during your shave, hahaha

well this cologne ( the name cologne comes really from this eau de cologne made in the city of Köln ( Keulen in dutch , Cologne in french ) close to the border of Belgium , and the number 4711 is the adress of the place where this cologne was made , the name of the street is " glockengasse " regards from mexico robert
dropped crown king scuttle today bummer but what i noticed when i received it while ago it has a thin porcelain layer easy to break and since i have a small bathroom so i ordered stainless steal bowl even tho i like the porcelain ones ah well it is what it is if ordering any porcelain scuttles it needs to be massive else it breaks easy anyway great shave again kevy as always cheers.
i prefer ceramic bowls as well kevy but the thing is if u have a small bathroom chances are ur gonna break stuff ah well luckally i still have the fine scuttle that one survived cheers kevy always a pleasure in the mancave we call the wet shaving community heh

Great shave Kevy! Being new to d e shaving (even though I'm over 60) I was wondering if a lot of creams leave a coating on your razors after the first use? I have a new E.J. de89 and like to keep it very clean. I just recently tried a certain shave cream and after had to thoroughly scrub it clean as it left a waxy build up on my razor as well as my brush. Needless to say I returned it and won't be using a cheap cream again. Thanks.
Hey Randy. Thanks for the kind words and great to hear you're de shaving (it's never too late). Yes, some creams and soaps can leave a residue on your razor. as long as you keep your razors clean it shouldn't be an issue. Every now and then I clean my razors with a very soft kids toothbrush and some mild liquid hand soap before drying them and putting them back into storage. It's a good habit to get into. Cheers. The Old Spice creams currently from India from P&G are no different than their India made Gillette creams since the license switched from Meneses to Rubicon. The scents are very generic and the Old Spice tube smells nothing like Old Spice.
Initially, I thought "Here's Kevy having a laugh with Dettol. The more you lathered it, the more I thought you were maybe a bit apprehensive. Nobody can accuse you of only going 'High End' Artisan. A wee bit of the brown bottle disinfectant as an Aftershave splash would have been awesome 😉

If you're saying the shaving cream smell like a bloody bathroom cleaner, I'll bet the soap smells very much the same like Arko shave stick, urinal cake weak lemon scent straight from the bathroom. Start drinking Scotch Whisky for your sore throat.

It has more blade feel than the Dart. If I had to choose I would say I prefer the Blackbird, but then again, the Dart is also a great razor. Kevy 😀👍
