Put retractable sidesteps on, I know folks will say “NO!” But believe me they’re awesome and make the truck look better. If you need side sliders in one of these beasts your in trouble, or your messing around where ya shouldn’t be and ya damn well know. And if you still think you need side slides in these they’re easy to fabricate while keeping your retractable steps.

But my raptor's console is full of gloves, hats, spotting scope and a bunch of other stuff. I'd actually have to find some other easy to reach place for that stuff....
I am hooked on this truck. It’s so dialed in. I’ve been taking my family out on adventures in my 20 year old silverado mostly because I’ve been very undecided with what I should get next. Big adventure van or an overpacked Subaru? This tremor all set up like this may be the most bang for your buck!!!
Personally like the Lariat better, with sunroof. Had ours up Medano Pass August 2019, tight fit for sure, but we had a blast up there and the San Luis Valley. Moving back in two weeks, can’t wait.
Everyone’s going full-size pickups with shells on them or built 4x4 Suburban’s for Overlanding now. Best bang for the buck if you want to stay within your GVWR. Grizzly bears love tents up in Alaska. 1/2 tons wheel better because they’re lighter, that’s why Ford started with a F150 when designing the Raptor. :)

I'm looking to do astrophotography so I need to head off road. I'm looking for a modular set up. Here are my questions 1. Is the diamond hard top easily detachable? 2. Do the rails that hold up the camper only fit on a truck hard top or can it be attached to the actual top of the bed railing? 3. Is there a way to turn the rack on the top of the truck to a platform? So I can use my truck as a platform for my camera mount? What about the bed rack? Able to turn it into a platform? 4. Is the camper easily detachable?

I'm starting on my Silverado Trail Boss and seriously looking ahead to the new Nissan Frontier for a 2nd/midsize option. I love the Toyotas also but want to do something different. Silverado will be used to tow my side by sides, boat, etc to do some trips focusing there and mid-sized used for offroad and exploration focused trips. I like the variety with this beastly Tremor added to the mix!

Topped it off with some fasteners on the rear tire to keep it from bouncing up. Seems complicated but only takes 2-3 minutes to mount/un mount. Only down side is taking off the front tire

I have the same 2020 truck in Lariat sport trim and after many months of planning and adding the HD Smooth diamond back. I was going to go with the exact set up. Great to see the same truck being built. Was torn about where to put the compressor so I’m looking forward to your in-bed idea with the built right bracket system. S&B makes a 60 gal tank for the super duties. Fits in the stock location.....that’s on the list too. Not sure is they do a non-diesel tank.

Have you considered swapping gears yet? Going to 39s plus the extra weight gears would be a nice upgrade. Would love to see a video from Nitro or Yukon explaining their gears and how they come up with the right ratio for these trucks. Just an idea.
Yeah, a lot of this truck is an experiment of small mods and then testing those things. Truck has tons of power and this one has 4.30s in the axles already. I'll let you know how power is without a regear and if it seems lacking, gearing would be a natural next step. The thing is, this thing has a 10 speed transmission - which means it has a very good ability to keep it in the power band (which for how the 7.3 is, starts at really low RPMs). All that to say, I bet it'll be fine - but we'll see.
Great channel, excellent detailed reviews. Those BFG tires are awesome. I have a set on my Wrangler. Wear well and do well in snow and off-road situations. They did amazing in the recent Colorado blizzard we had.
I would love to see you do a review on the Renegade truck bed cover. Literally no one has a real world review, only the company themselves. They have a a track system built into their tonneau cover, instead of drilling into a brand new diamondback. I’m on the fence for a purchase because of the cost, I’m sure they’d probably send you one for free lol

First Time Viewer. Great Video. What lift are you planning to install on the F250 Tremor? Carli??? What rims do you plan on getting to mount the big BFG 39 x 13.5 - 17 tires on? The Black Rhino Armory - Gun Black 17 x 9.5 would look awesome on the truck. Have you used any of the Jackery solar generators? I have a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Hard Rock - Tank color. Ordered a 2022 Ford F350 Lariat 7.3L with Ultimate Package - Black Appearance Package - Tremor Package and every option including the Warn winch.....except did not get the Adaptive Steering or the Pro Trailer Backup Assist (aka - SISSY BOT KNOB). I wanted the Ultimate Trailer Tow Camera System, but Ford packaged it with the Pro Trailer Backup Assist at $1655. Therefore, I settled for the CHMSL Camera at $200. Another interesting detail regarding options on the Lariat.....Power Deployable Running Boards are only available if the truck has the Tremor Package...AND either the Black Appearance Package or the new Sport Appearance Package. A friend ordered an almost identical truck...all the same Packages and Options except that truck will have the Sport Appearance Package...had to add the LED Lights and Tough Bed Spray in Bedliner. We ordered both trucks on March 30th from the same dealer.....and got $4875 off MSRP on each truck. Other dealers we checked with wanted full MSRP. We live in a very remote area of the Rocky Mountains and also have a couple of Ford F150 trucks we are customizing for guiding during the hunting seasons. You are displaying a lot of great products and nice gadgets for off-road vehicles.....some we will purchase for our trucks and Jeeps. Look forward to future videos.

Yeah, I have the Fab Fours kit, plus the Tremor is lifted 2" from factory, and I'm only putting on 39s. We'll see though, but I'm going to do everything I can to keep it as low as possible.
Guess it's good that the empty center console comes standard. ;) - But seriously, with the giant map pockets, pockets next to the console, storage area in the front of the console and within the cup hold area, two glove compartments, storage along the side of the center console, rear door map pockets, space under the seats and giant rear seat storage - there is really no shortage of storage in a super duty...
Woah this thing is a beast. I like your thinking on the RTT and the access from the tailgate and the heat/roof rack access. That sounds like an awesome setup.
I think you mentioned that the roof rack is a "Front Runner" product. What I'm curious about is Front Runner clearly states drilling into the roof is required. Is that how you installed yours and if so, what did you do to waterproof the attachment points? Thanks in advance if you should see this and reply. 25:20 Man, there are some crazy videos out there of RTT thieves. They roll up, hop out, make a couple snips with some bolt cutters, and yeet that thing into the back of their vehicle and take off. It's crazy. Takes 30 seconds. I would be going all kinds of extra with securing mine. Redundancies on top of redundancies lol.

Just watched episode 1 of Expedition Overland’s Clay’s family adventure and they did a quick tour of their AEV Prospector w/ tray, on-tray camper, and toy hauler/camp kitchen trailer. Was thinking, “that’d be cool but on a 250 Tremor.”

Also, when I first started watching the video, I was like WTHell is going on with those wheels....haha. I watched the video in it's entirety and of course, they're just mocked up for now. Have you considered running the iKamper backwards? It may add to the lines of the truck. Plus, you could then stick on a third brake light led strip to the iKamper's little air dam thingy since it'll be facing rearward and stationary. I've been considering doing this with my Tundra and iKamper mini, but need spring to hit in Alaska first. I've been looking at some of those UTV strips wondering if they'd be too flashing. Just a thought.
It would be cool if you collaborated with patriot campers and borrowed or bought their toy hauler off-road camper trailer. Would go great behind the tremor
what brand and where did you get the backseat dog seat cover to protect the seat? I can’t find any that are big enough to cover the entire seat of my F250 like the one you have.

I know you’re doing the tires next but i bet you’ll do lighting upgrades. With this beast of a truck I would include some safety lights, not a whole lot of them just a couple in case you’re towing or something so I wonder if you’ll do that

I got my first truck a few years ago, it’s a 2013 f-150 fx4, and I’ve been looking for a good mounting system for the front dash and Built right has the perfect metal plate for attaching phone holders and stuff. Speaking of, other than ram mount and x grip what popular phone holders do you like/recommend? Lookin to slowly build this thing into my overland machine and I’ll get a Tesla as the daily in the future 👍🏼
Nice rig but way too big for trails up here and the weight of it would make recovery a nightmare because you will get stuck here in everything but a sherpa.

It’s cool to like both. I have a tundra and an F250 for work. Both are fantastic trucks and serve their purpose.
I have a 2004 Tacoma 4x4 5 spd and a 2000 Excursion Powerstroke. Both are good.

The XLT is $56k with the same 7.3L gas engine. You just don’t get the leather and color matched grill and bumpers.

I have a 19 F350 limited that I did a overland build it’s similar but i have a camper shell with full carli kit.
I’ve got a perfect way to mount a bike in that position, it’s super secure

I think it would be fine on 2 cross bars but the more feet you have spreading out the load the better. on my jeep i have 3 for a roof top tent

Another interesting detail regarding options on the Lariat.....Power Deployable Running Boards are only available if the truck has the Tremor Package...AND either the Black Appearance Package or the new Sport Appearance Package.
A friend ordered an almost identical truck...all the same Packages and Options except that truck will have the Sport Appearance Package...had to add the LED Lights and Tough Bed Spray in Bedliner. We ordered both trucks on March 30th from the same dealer.....and got $4875 off MSRP on each truck. Other dealers we checked with wanted full MSRP. We live in a very remote area of the Rocky Mountains and also have a couple of Ford F150 trucks we are customizing for guiding during the hunting seasons.

Your going to rub with those. I built the crazy 2020 Ford F-250 that is sponsored by Ford and I’m on 6inch with 40s and I still rubbed. You need to cut up the fender. I used the fab fours open fenders
Yeah, I have the Fab Fours kit, plus the Tremor is lifted 2" from factory, and I'm only putting on 39s. We'll see though, but I'm going to do everything I can to keep it as low as possible.

I think most folks would rather have storage for center console vs a cold 12 pack, but who knows. Cool truck.
Guess it's good that the empty center console comes standard. ;) - But seriously, with the giant map pockets, pockets next to the console, storage area in the front of the console and within the cup hold area, two glove compartments, storage along the side of the center console, rear door map pockets, space under the seats and giant rear seat storage - there is really no shortage of storage in a super duty...

Woah this thing is a beast. I like your thinking on the RTT and the access from the tailgate and the heat/roof rack access. That sounds like an awesome setup.
I think you mentioned that the roof rack is a "Front Runner" product. What I'm curious about is Front Runner clearly states drilling into the roof is required. Is that how you installed yours and if so, what did you do to waterproof the attachment points? Thanks in advance if you should see this and reply. And I really like all the stuff you discuss on your channel.
Current gen has threaded studs in the roof already. No drilling required

25:20 Man, there are some crazy videos out there of RTT thieves. They roll up, hop out, make a couple snips with some bolt cutters, and yeet that thing into the back of their vehicle and take off. It's crazy. Takes 30 seconds. I would be going all kinds of extra with securing mine. Redundancies on top of redundancies lol.

Dude pulled up, made 4 snips with his bolt cutters and threw it in the bed of his truck and was gone. If I find it I'll share.
Just watched episode 1 of Expedition Overland’s Clay’s family adventure and they did a quick tour of their AEV Prospector w/ tray, on-tray camper, and toy hauler/camp kitchen trailer. Was thinking, “that’d be cool but on a 250 Tremor.”
Great video and when it's all said and done, this should be a really nice build. I have an F350 SRW and you're providing a lot of great ideas. Also, when I first started watching the video, I was like WTHell is going on with those wheels....haha. I watched the video in it's entirety and of course, they're just mocked up for now. Have you considered running the iKamper backwards? It may add to the lines of the truck. Plus, you could then stick on a third brake light led strip to the iKamper's little air dam thingy since it'll be facing rearward and stationary. I've been considering doing this with my Tundra and iKamper mini, but need spring to hit in Alaska first. I've been looking at some of those UTV strips wondering if they'd be too flashing. Just a thought.
I have, but I think it's ugly that way... which is obviously just a personal preference thing.
It would be cool if you collaborated with patriot campers and borrowed or bought their toy hauler off-road camper trailer. Would go great behind the tremor

what brand and where did you get the backseat dog seat cover to protect the seat? I can’t find any that are big enough to cover the entire seat of my F250 like the one you have.

Oh man I’m super excited for the build. I wish it was mine or at least wish I could do the same it’s that nice. If your Tacoma is bad ass I know this one will be too. I can’t wait to see it. I know you’re doing the tires next but i bet you’ll do lighting upgrades. With this beast of a truck I would include some safety lights, not a whole lot of them just a couple in case you’re towing or something so I wonder if you’ll do that

I got my first truck a few years ago, it’s a 2013 f-150 fx4, and I’ve been looking for a good mounting system for the front dash and Built right has the perfect metal plate for attaching phone holders and stuff. Speaking of, other than ram mount and x grip what popular phone holders do you like/recommend? Lookin to slowly build this thing into my overland machine and I’ll get a Tesla as the daily in the future 👍🏼

Nice rig but way too big for trails up here and the weight of it would make recovery a nightmare because you will get stuck here in everything but a sherpa.
Not sure where "here" is, but they have gone down Black Bear Pass countless times, which is a notoriously narrow trail.

Ive been wanting to do a truck like this, id do a carli 4.5 pintop with the fab fours 40s no lift fenders
