Dear friend, I was at Dimash's concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022. There were two premieres of songs, the music for which was written by Dimash himself. We, the audience, had not yet come to our senses from the song "The Story of One Sky", as all the lights went out in the stadium, and a giant figure of Dimash in black appeared in the dark. The beautiful to the point of madness "El Amor En Ti" began. This song was an absolute surprise, because no one knew about its existence in advance. I've never seen a performance like this.. It is necessary, someone came up with the idea for four vocal parts to create four fantastic images: Giant Dimash in black (they say, the projection was the height of a 7-storey house) - fatal, philosophical, wise in life experience. Dimash in white (a little smaller, about the height of a 5-storey building) is full of life and the desires of youth, energetic and romantic. Dimash in red (equal in height to white) - the link between youth and maturity, a burning heart, a fire in the blood. And the unexpected fourth Dimash is a small living person against the background of giant figures. The whole unusualness and trick in this song was that high-class academic classical singing with baritone, tenor and soprano was combined with singing in the style of pop. And it was so cute that you want to listen to it and listen endlessly.

The premiere of the song was at Dimash's 'Stranger' concert on September 23, 2022 in Almaty Central Stadium (the largest sports complex in the Republic of Kazakhstan). Dimash Qudaibergen's solo concert in Almaty sold out gathering 35000 Dears from almost 68 countries.
Dimash composed another masterpiece, an 'exquisite melodic salad' (as a dear put it) with profound lyrics.. It's a song with a wonderful, beautiful melody, in which classical and modern perfectly harmonize and blend... and Dimash sings it in quadruple duplication as a quartet with himself. Dimash promised his Spanish-speaking Dears a song in their language, so he composed “El Amor En Ti” and performed it for the first time at the Almaty Concert last fall. The different personas and voices imply a philosophical conversation between states of hopelessness and despair because of the darkness of life (black) vs the hopefulness and light that comes from embracing love instead (white) which in turn engage our feelings and touch the heart (red). Dimash's live performance in the last part as a contemporary man against the giant figures which represent different human states of consciousness brings this it into an experience of life lived fully in the moment with all three states present and acknowledged and wholly integrated into the here and now.
Rather than creating cognitive dissonance by presenting opposing views, Dimash creates cognitive consonance, a state of harmony between competing emotions, beliefs and values by blending different voices, traditions, tonalities and styles (even expressed in his dress) into a gorgeous tapestry of sound and color that expresses the rich fullness of life. I was reminded of Walt Whitman’s line from the poem “Song of Myself: ‘I am large, I contain multitudes.’
Dimash does contain multitudes, and his art elevates the conflict from a two-dimensional dark vs light, good vs bad, true vs false question into a three-dimensional experience that frees us to live fully from the heart (hear how his high notes soar above and weave it together) without becoming overwhelmed by life's problems or denying the reality of life's darker aspects. Two dimensional conflicts often paralyze us with feelings of helplessness and despair and limit our ability to respond to life's storms appropriately, but when we get to a higher point of view, embrace a higher state of consciousness at the soul level by tapping into the love and peace within, we become the masters of our lives and not the victims of circumstance, and we can act with passion and confidence in the middle of the storms and, with open hearts, let our love within flow out into the world.
Dimash's stated mission, to bring unity and peace to the world through his art, is very much evident in this piece. Like in "Story of One Sky," he is very intentional about the message that we need to accept all there is and allow all to have a voice and a presence, not to silence or disappear what we do not like or understand, in our selves or in the outer world. The darkness is our reality as much as the light; the work of our lives is to create a harmonious whole through love that expresses our full humanity.
A shout-out to Erlan Bekchurin who arranges most of Dimash’s songs. Close friends since their teen years, Erlan is a genius in his own right, and together they make magic.

When I saw Dimash for the first singing SOS in the chinese competition in 2017 he was so young and he impressed me a lot, specially because his stage presence. With his other performances I realized he's really a complete artist because he's always perfect in all of them: amazing range, beautiful voice, flawless technique and a impressive stage presence.
So many people from around the world said "He has so many voices that he can do a duet or a trio of voices with himself!!" So he did, but is a quartet of voices.
Talking about his pronunciation in Spanish: If you are used to listen to opera, you´ll understand perfectly as he gets to Spanish phonetics from his Italian one and uses dark tones that change the opening of the vowels as in lyrical singing. The last (live) part is perfectly understandable.

Thank you. There were 3 towers, the middle one is 70' tall and Dimash jumped off of it at the beginning of the concert. The 2 towers on each side of the black caped Dimash were 50' tall. This is only time I've ever seen any performer use projections like this, let alone sing with 4 Dimash! This is an incredible performance and the 1st in Spanish for Dimash! Not to mention the vocals! :)

For my part, as I have said on other occasions, I don't need to listen to you in Spanish, because the language of the heart is universal and every time you open your mouth I get everything you want to say... and more... because you make me talk to myself to myself.

They are also phenomenal. My personal favorites are the songs Champions and Save Our Lives. They have done renditions of Lady Gaga's Bad Romance, Queen's We Are the Champions, Bohemian Rhapsody and We Will Rock You, and Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal and Ed Sheeran's Shape of You. A lot of the songs that they sang on Immortal Songs 2 are in Korean but also worth listening to, like Dead Drunk, The Face I miss, As I Live and Lazenca Save Us. His name is Dimash not Dimmish.
I see this song as both a flex and as an experimental technique that doesn't quite work. Musically, that is. Lyrics are good.
It's a flex because Dimash shows off his mastery as a baritone, a tenor, a countertenor and a pop singer. Taken individually, it's quite a kovely collection of parts.
When the parts are combined, there isn't much synergy in the piece. It's jarring rather than pleasing to my ears. It could be, that was the intended effect; but for my tastes, this song doesn't rise into my favorite Dimash performances.
But it's Dimash. It isn't another singer. That automatically draws my attention. At his worst, he's still in a class all by himself.
