    Hey Tanner. I like the channel. I just subscribed. I'm looking to retire into an AF990 in a few years full time. I'm laying the groundwork now. Great info. How do you like the Ford F350 Dually? That's the rig you have, correct? Consumers and JD Power really hammered it. Have you had any problems? Why the diesel as opposed to the gasser? Any thoughts or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. I hope you guys have a great holiday under the circumstances.

      Thanks for subscribing and the support! The AF990 would be a good option! Love the F350. It’s my favorite truck ever. Haven’t had any problems with it. Owned it since May. Only second owner. Not sure what JD etc have said but these trucks are pretty proven by now. This 6.7 seems to be solid. I’ve always wanted a diesel and a Dually just because and how expensive trucks are nowadays it makes sense to buy the diesel because it keeps it’s value better. Plus I still get 11-13 mpg with camper instead of 8 that a gas truck would probably get. Just beefier. More value. Doesn’t have to work as hard.

      I’m still learning how to film and edit etc. So stay tuned as the quality hopefully progresses 👍🏻

    I have a 2013 Arctic Fox 990 hauled with a 2006 dodge diesel and is my favorite rv that I've owned so far. Previous Rv's were two toy haulers.

    I had a AF 1150 and I want a AF 990. My top 5
    1. Full wall slide, I had more room than my parents Motorhome without a slide.
    2. Furnace, always nice to wake up in a temperature controlled room no mater what it is like outside.
    3. Fridge was awesome 12V with the truck moving, propane when parked,
    4. Generator, ran the AC on a hot night to cool enough for bed or when I wanted to run the microwave, power on command. Way to loud though
    5 Space, well designed storage, bubble skylight in the shower, lots of head room , large table, Full queen (I switch from home best night sleep) lots of tanks and propane. Bonus would be the pantry slide.
    I put a lot of thought and research when I bought and I can't wait till I get a newer 990. Weird thing was I bought 1150 used and sold for the same amount 4 years later.

    TY for taking the time to show us around...I am really torn between a TC with a slide out and one without. Looking at both Arctic Fox and Northern lite but used, not new. Prices of these are getting up there !! Beautiful camper you have there!

      No slide would ease up on weight and help a little with insulation. Just depends on what model and I’m not familiar with northern lite but the 865 AF is nice. However it’s kind of a one person up at a time because it’s mainly just a hallway from front to bed. Lot of good priced used campers out there.

    Thank you for your videos. I miss my truck camper and looking at getting another. I really wanted a tundra but they can’t hold a decent size camper. Looking forward to your adventures!

    My night just got better, more AF 990 vids! Another good one dude. That on board generator is handy. You must have an idea how much propane you burn thru in a winter night......?

    • @tannerboy92
      @tannerboy92  3 роки тому +1

      Not in a night no. I ran out of propane in one of the bottles running generator. Heat and fridge in one day but that propane tank was maybe half full a couple weekends ago and it’s constantly being used for fridge and heat when in use. I usually keep only one propane tank valve open at a time so I don’t forget about it. I’ll try and keep a better log of use lol.

    Those onans are propane guzzling pigs. Most people who have them usually never use them and just buy a honda 2200, LOL. that being said, I hate having to lug out my 2200 and set it up and is impractical in urban areas, or anywhere else where theft is possible.

    • @tannerboy92
      @tannerboy92  3 роки тому +1

      For sure. It’s great for day trips. Emergencies or weekends but for sure uses a lot of propane. I have a Ryobi generator I use like now for long multiple week trips to extend life of propane. Especially in the low 20s etc.
