  • Wore out the stock 210mm tire that came on the bike when I bought it so figured id try out the 240mm wide tire swap that I have heard so much about. It definitely was worth it!

I own a 2006 Stryker and it's such a cool bike. Needs nothing.

wish you showed how you got the axle back in. That's where I'm at now. I can't get this one in, something keeps stopping it at the beginning.

Thanks for the video, did you remove the left tension bolt entirely? What is the torque spec for the tensioner bolt?

It comes out when you pull the Axle bolt out. I'm not totally sure the torque spec on it. I will usually just snug them up with a wrench or ratchet. Somewhere around 20ft/lbs is my guess

You should do an in depth rear wheel removal. There isn't a single one on UA-cam.

How’s the ride with the 240 ? And also do you have a commander 2 on the front as well ?
    Thanks

It's great. Tbh not sure what's on the front but when it's time to replace will get a commander on front as well.

Thanks for the vid, I was hoping that it would fit without doing anything else... man.... what to do what to do what to do....?

I say do it. The driving experience felt so much smoother. It was very worth it in my opinion. And it could have just been my bike that had issues clearing since it was a rebuilt bike.

I have a 2011 and had a 240 put on it. It went on with no mods and improved the ride alot. Well worth the swap

As long as there is a couple inches between the belt and tire you will be fine. No need to do any mods. Some shops might not like doing it on the stock rim though, it can be a real bitch to get it to bead.

+1 on the beading issue. The shop I took to didn't complain. But part of it wasn't beaded so took it back for them to fix

      Great video man
      Thank you for posting it
I wanna do same thing on mine
Does that 240 fits on the stock rim ?

I dropped my Yamaha to the shop for the swap
For some reason the tire it’s not setting
    And leaking air
How did you do it with yours ?

If you mean the bead is not seating, I know that's a common struggle with it. I believe u can massage the tire with no air in it to try and get it. Or some people use a rubber mallet to help. And make sure u have lots of lube on the bead of the tire so it can slip onto the wheel fully. As well as trying to fill tire with no valve stem core in, this will allow more air pressure to go into the tire faster

I bought the rear Commander 2 on 240 but I can’t find anywhere the pair front one on commander 2 they put of stock and discontinued I believe
If you have any knowledge or thought on if I put commander 3 210-70-21 on front and commander 2 240-40-18 on rear would that be alright ? I don’t ride much
Probably 500-1000 miles max a year
I’m seeing different thoughts and opinions on mix matching
Kind of hard to make a decision
    Thanks

So i just went out an checked my Raider. I have the Metzeler me880 marathon touring on the front. And I have no complaints and I believe that's the tire they came with from factory. So that's always a good option. But there would be nothing wrong with using a commander 3 up front and 2 on the back.
I have a completely different brand front to back and have no issues or complaints. So I think you would be fine

@@306garage thank you brother I appreciate your help
I like the look of that 240
And crazy thing is they don’t have commander 3 on 240
So I think I’m just gonna go with 2 series on the back and 3 on front
      Thanks again
      Bike looks great
      Ride safe
