A Prometheus-Class starship also made a cameo in the beauty shot of Voyager being escorted back to Earth by the Starfleet vessels that had gathered to fight what they assumed to be (and were kinda correct about) one or more Borg Vessels preparing to emerge from the trans-warp conduit near Earth.
The alpha or saucer section does have a 2nd warp nacelle that pops out of the bottom of the segment after separation, it just isn't viewable from a profile picture. Or do any of the doubters think that one tiny warp nacelle can maintain the saucer's speed at Warp 9.99 with the other segments alone?
I have been in love with the Prometheus/Prometheus class ever since that episode came out. It must be the design, power, weapons. When STO came out and the advanced escort was out, I completely ignored the T6 escort. And yes I do have the other hero ships on my bookshelf, but, I keep the Prometheus on my desk because I loved this ship! That's not weird, right?
Got my Prometheus today and was relieved to find the paint on the underside phaser strips pretty much intact..then I noticed that one of the warp nacelles is missing most of the blue tinting on its clear piece, sometimes you just can't win with this collection..
I’m sure you could find some translucent blue nail polish and fix it. I have seen some before that’s see through. You would have to remove the old coloring to do it though.
This is the first ship from this collection I've bought since the Dauntless which I was very unhappy with(my engines were totally wonky) and I'm sooo glad I did! Beautiful model!
Great review as always. The interesting thing on the booklet they list the length as 126m which 50m smaller than the Defiant which is 170m. Memory Alpha Beta has it listed the Prometheus at 415m, the nebula class at 442m and the which looks right when you watch the battle in the episode message in a bottle. I think eaglemoss may have errored on this one fact. But, the model looks great. I have just received my Voyager and K't'inga with my subscription so I have quite awhile before I get to the Prometheus.
No. It’s really that small. Interesting fact: the Prometheus was designed to be manned by little people (like Stuart Little; with the tails). Their Cetacean section has small cuttlefish instead of dolphins. It’s a new Starfleet initiative to be more inclusive of non standard sized people. 😂
Hi great reviews always was a fan of Star Trek, you inspired me to start my subscription last week! can't wait to see them in hand. Keep up the good work!
Hey hows it going? Hope ur well!!! I picked up my prometheus today after work, i think ive been very lucky there is no big issues with the join lines on any part of the ship. Im very happy with it, i still need to get a display cabinet for them. They are still in there boxes im sad to say. Do you have a display cabinet yet?
nice detailed ships but damn that you can not move away the sepparate section at enterprise d and at prometheus this function is a missing of this modells
Nice review. This ship looks very cool. I wish I could actually get some of these... I have a bunch on pre-order/back-order and they just aren't getting in stock. So frustrating... Ugh. Again, nice review. :)
This review definitely helped, thank you. I was waffling on this model. I tned to stick to the more classic/common ships and also the Prometheus was out of stock most times. Glad i got it though, unique but still fits in with other Fed. ships.
Hi there, nice review again!! I dont have my promethus yet i pick it up on tuesday. I cant wait ive been waiting on this one for a long time. Keep the reviews coming!!!!!!!!!
I thought the Prometheus was the size of the Intrepid class. 126m makes her quite a bit smaller than the small 165m long Equinox/Rhode Island classes. At 126m the Type 12 phasers should be a lot thicker. From Memory Alpha, ''Rick Sternbach notes that the "Prometheus would come in at roughly 1,360 feet (414 meters) in length". (Star Trek: The Magazine Volume 3, Issue 11) A length of 414 meters was also shown on a page from an Eden FX manual. (Star Trek: The Magazine Volume 1, Issue 24) ''
Howya Irish Trekkie, where do you actually buy your stuff. I'm jast pissed off by getting ripped of on Ebay. Any conection on our soil? Thanks again for some really great vids! Dave.
IrishTrekkie Might I mention an aditional fact. The ships Saucer seperation not only shared traits from that of Voyager but it also shared Wedge traits which were inspired from the Quntam Slipspstream capable fake ship NX 01-A Dauntless if you might not have heard that. since the design of the saucer from the Dauntless and Prometheus does look similar.
Why do they insist on destroying the Nebula Class look... UGH They only ever base these things off the crappy CGI models... It's not supposed to have those outer rim of windows. :

There is always the odd thing

Hi Gary, you are right on that. I never realised until after the video. :)

Wow thanks David. I really hope you enjoy your new collection as much as I do :)

Gary Horsburgh Not yet Gary, I keep meaning to sort it but it always get postponed :( Soon enough or my wife will kill me lol
Can decide between this, the Dauntless, or the Equinox. Of those three, which do you think is the best?
nice detailed ships but damn that you can not move away the sepparate section at enterprise d and at prometheus this function is a missing of this modells
Eaglemoss really needs to give this the XL treatment.
What do you do with all the boxes you get? Do you keep them?
Hi Eliot, at the beginning I did not really think about it so I threw them away. I have done the same ever since
did know you:Shes a prototype starship, Her warp speed was warp 9.99, starfleets fastest starship, same decks as voyaget and many more!
Nice review. This ship looks very cool. I wish I could actually get some of these... I have a bunch on pre-order/back-order and they just aren't getting in stock. So frustrating... Ugh. Again, nice review. :)
Thanks HF, hopefully you orders will be fulfilled sooner tether then later. I don't think you are alone in that sense.
I've just spotted this video by chance, you need to add it to the review playlist I think.
done and done - thanks for the heads up
No probs! I'm looking forward to the Tholian review, looks like it could be a good one and always nice to see more ships from Enterprise.
i wait for the nebula but dont know when this modell comes at germany .
This review definitely helped, thank you. I was waffling on this model. I tned to stick to the more classic/common ships and also the Prometheus was out of stock most times. Glad i got it though, unique but still fits in with other Fed. ships.
anyone have any news of the Vengeance special? I thought we'd have heard something by now, it's been a while since the last special issue.
I love this video. Thanks so much for sharing.
Raza Moghal Thanks Raza

Length: 415 meters from Memory Beta.
The Nebula-class ship was the USS Bonchune
No way man! It’s 415 meters. Get it right! 😂
Sorry. I thought I would cosplay as a hardcore Trekkie nerd for a moment. Forgive me.
it has 6 nacelle a not five another is hidden in side ship comes out in multy vector assult mode.
Nice one NX-59650 I think it means Navel eXperimental
Makes sense
IrishTrekkie Yep NCC - Navel Commission Contract, NX - Naval Experiment, USS - United Starfleet Ship, SS - Starship. etc etc
Daniel Orrett ..... Naval= Navy. Navel= is a belly button. Grrrrrr👹👹
Rafael Washington ..... Naval= Navy. Navel= is a belly button. Grrrrrr👹👹
Right thanks.

Dave.
Like the intrepid class that the nacelles move when going into warp, Prometheus quad nacelles should move like an x wing fighter
that's not a ramscoop, that's the a manuevering thruster on the rear port section of the primary hull
He specifically said and pointed to the opening on the front of the impulse engine; the RCS thruster is next to it, on the corner of the primary hull
Question what is the name of the music playing in the intro?
It's just an intro music from iMovie
i think the destortions with the model are to make it look like its scalpted from clay.
I’m the proud owner of an Eaglemoss USS Prometheus.
too bad it doesn't split..
Oh it can split...just it doesn't want to go back together =)
name of eppisode which this ship debut in.
Message In A Bottle
:)
:)
u must have quite a big collection goin on :3
EMH.3 :)

this ship is AWESOME
Missing/fading phaser stripes = issue , wrongly colored impulse engines = non-issue ?!?
The Prometheus has six nacelles; they would all be visible if the model separated
"Message in s Bottle" my friend.
First view and first like the prometheus class is one of the coolest ship.
Lol thanks David :)
The more I see of these Eaglemoss models the more I am disgusted at their lack of detail and quality.
at 8:37 looks not normal looks deformated the hull
Episode "Message in a bottle"
126 meters long? Seems a little short to me.
+Coleslaw Don't forget that it can only be operated by a crew of four.
Gabriel Papa thats very true
Funny thing; Eaglemoss' own same scale chart has a length of 415m right next to Prometheus.
Very coo !!! 👌
Does it have those flimsy nacelle pylons the Equinox has?
They are small but not too flimsy
Why do they insist on destroying the Nebula Class look... UGH They only ever base these things off the crappy CGI models... It's not supposed to have those outer rim of windows. :
Nor those squared nacelle pylons for Honshu and Phoenix.
Enterprise F!
1701 - j ripoff, voyager bad ripoff oh, and sulu 1981 ship ripoff
