- b-side from bonzo goes to bitburg single
lyric:
Go home Ann
Go home Ann
Go home Ann
Ann go home
(2x)
I had you in my bed last night
I did what I wanted to do, well all right
Go home Ann, it's almost morning
Go home Ann, it's almost dawn
I never said I loved you
Never said I cared
This is not forever
There's nothing in my heart
Go home Ann
Go home Ann
Go home Ann
Ann go home
(2x)
I tricked you, had my fun
You could have been anyone
Go home Ann, it's almost morning
Go home Ann, it's almost dawn
I never said I loved you
I never said I cared
This is not forever
There's nothing in my heart
Go home Ann
Go home Ann
Go home Ann
Ann go home
FYI: WRITTEN BY DEE DEE RAMONE & MICKEY LEIGH. PRODUCED BY ED STASIUM.
MIXED BY LEMMY & GUY BIDMEAD. ENGINEER: TOMMY "Ramone" ERDELYI.
One of the best Ramones songs IMHO
@Mickey Leigh since it's yours, you should release it on an album with Mutated ! Maybe Richie and CJ could join you in this song!
@@pedroc.9264 you're right! and that's exactly what i'm doing. my version is on the mickey leigh's MUtaTeD mUSic "Variants Of Vibe" album, coming out Feb 18th, 2022..on Wicked Cool Records. but, CJ and Richie couldn't join in on this recording. ..maybe they can when we play it live, tho. that'd be fun!!
Mickey I've been a Ramones fan since I was 16 years old... So that would be 25 years now...
My friend and ex bandmate Glenn ended up touring as guitarist for Richie on his last few tours...
Anyways, I recently went through Ramones complete discography with a fine tooth comb to search out any songs I may have missed... I accounted for every Ramones original song / recording EXCEPT for this killer buried B-side track...
I'm having a hard time finding info for when "Go Home Ann" was recorded... Was this a studio recording from "Too Tough To Die" recording sessions or "Animal Boy" recording sessions?
I see it was mixed by Ed Stasium...
After Daniel Rey produced my old band Pure Rubbish our mini album in 1999 after working on Misfits "Famous Monsters"...
September 2001 Ed Stasium was then working on pre-production on my old band Pure Rubbish's 2nd full length studio album & was set to produce the album when out of nowhere 9/11 hit & Ed had to take the next available flight home to reconnect with his son who at the time lived dangerously close to the impact zone...
I remember the night of 9/11 Ed and my 3 bandmates went to "Taste Of Texas" fancy restaurant & downed several overpriced cocktails as we desperately tried to make sense of this frightening new world...so surreal at the time and so surreal to ponder back on those memories 21 years later...
Hey Mickey if by chance you see this message...
What do you think about recording a new version of "Elevator Operator"...
The ultimate Ramones song that never was!!
"Elevator Operator" studio demo recorded Christmas 1985 with Joey Ramone, Mickey Leigh, Richie Ramone & Rattlers bassist, Dave U. Hall!!!!
I really wish they would release an expanded version of Animal Boy with this as a bonus track!
+Yours2Keep138 I wish they'd release a remastered album full of unreleased material, and songs like this. They have a TON of unreleased stuff that would be amazing to hear with a clean sound all together.
Agreed man, I don't know what Linda and Mickey are waiting for release these gems(You can't say Anything Nice is really cool too)
@@ederbofete4833 like with any band that signed a record deal- decisions to spend the $ it costs to manufacture, press, package, release and distribute records (on any format) are made solely by the record company (Rhino). not me, or her.
Absolutely! The early 2000's remastered & expanded reissues were an amazing idea, but unfortunately "Too Tough To Die" was the final album deemed worthy enough to receive this special treatment. For the past year or so, "Animal Boy" has become a personal favorite of the 80's RAMONES albums, so it's def a bummer for me that those reissues weren't continued up to "Animal Boy" and beyond to finally reach "iAdios Amigos!". Why stop so abruptly in the middle of RAMONES' career?
I remember buying "Animal Boy" on a cassette (yeah that long ago) and this song was on it. My 1984 Escort's tape player ate it and I could never find this song until now, Thanks!!!!!!!!!
Wow, that's a dark sounding song for the Ramones.
very very cool, powerful Ramones song
Mickey Leigh Joey's Little Brother On Keyboard....:)
I bought a cassette of Animal Boy when I was stationed in Germany and I SWEAR this song was on the cassette, but not listed on the labe.
my god they're mi idols, i just can't describe how I feel.!! God bless The Ramones always in my hearth & mind
I HAVE THIS SLICE OF HISTORY BUT NO TURN TABLE. THIS WAS MY FIRST RAMONES SONG I EVER LEARNED. THEN THE DANGERS OF LOVE!

OMG put something else !!! i wanna feel the same like 23 years ago when i played the first time Ramones "It´s Alive " !!!!!!! I´ve no idea about this Song before Whata Haaakk!!!!!
RIGHT!!!
ANN! GOOO! HOME!
😍
cool
i wouldnt doubt it. this is a great song and dee dee wrote all the best lyrics. but i dont know for sure who wrote it.
Love the intensity in Joey's voice...! Being that he held romanticism to the highest, this song was the total opposite for him. But he sang it well!!!!!!
Fun fact: this song was produced by Lemmy. Joey and Dee Dee wanted him to produce the next Ramones album and this was his "demo" as producer. Johnny didn't like it and that killed what could have been a great project.
correction above.
This could only be a Dee Dee.
legal=) cool
Ann, Cab Fare's on the Night Stand, badda-bing!~Andrew Dice Clay
@panqueque445 only here in youtube
Desejo que nunca aconteça, mas talvez seja necessário.
Like the music, but as far as lyrics - who likes being used?
maybe a woman should record it and change it from Go Home Ann to Go Home Man! ( i agree with you, tho. and, changed some lyrics when recording my own version last year)
Hello, can you tell me if "Bonzo goes.." of this EP is the single version, which is not as overproduced as the one included in Animal Boy? thank you!
Gustavo S watch?v=aDD7LpsW6p8 this is the single version, it sounds less produced, the drums in particular

Thank you! There are many EP of Bonzo and didn't know which one to buy...finally I bought this one from Discogs.
I would really love thsi sing if they changed teh words around a bit - seems like Ann got used . But the music really rocks .
Oh come on this was the 80s, get over it
@davegangrena Mixed by Lemmy
Did Dee Dee write this?
julia's dream.
@panqueque445 nope
no only joey
Wasn't this produced by Lemmy...someone told me that...
Yes Lemmy did produce this song.
Go home richi
I hated it when them damn things would do that. It seems like them cheap GPX tape players would constently eat tapes....
this really is one of their worst
but i still luv it
Fafsa organ ?
Casio!!
Why does the only sexist Ramones' song have to use my name?
It's spelled different though.
🤣
Loudmouth is really "sexist" too
